We've lived in Cockeysville now for about 6 years and this is a great addition to the area, finally something different! We go all the time. It is a very unique concept and we always enjoy time there- it's beautiful and service is great. Only eaten in the game room so far. The lobster melt and tacos are yummy! There's fun games- ski ball, beer pong, ping pong, foosball, and lots of TVs and a great area to relax outside in the courtyard with fire pits on the tables. Unfortunately there's a lot of older folk who are so confused about the concept that they feel the need to leave negative reviews. (We're in our early 30's) There's a chill area, more upscale area, fine dining, and an outside courtyard with the bar connected! Perfect for the nice weather. Please ignore all the bad comments and go see for yourself- also yes it's a BAR aimed for ADULTS to hang out ... so your children may not be able to play games and run around freely after 5. Take them to an arcade or a place that is actually for kids.

I went to this restaurant for a late lunch and was blown away. The atmosphere was amazing. Met the owner and he was very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and informative. I plan to go back many more times. Now for the food, I had the sweet and spicy cauliflower, while my husband had some pork belly sliders. Delicious and seasoned to perfection. This is a sports bar/casual dining experience. If you haven't tried it you absolutely must go.

    Loved this drink!

Such a great atmosphere! Started in the social room. The food was amazing! Loved, loved, loved the French onion mac and cheese! My cocktail was on point. Our server showed us around and was great! After we finished we headed over to the game room. We bought a a few drinks, watched a football game, and played ping pong. ALL the games were FREE....punching bag, basketball, arcade games!!! My entire family had so much fun. Can't wait to go back when Oak and Olive is open!!

Pappas in Cockeysville came up in a couple of influencers' lists, so we made the 1 1/2 hour drive north to experience it for ourselves. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday morning and chose to sit on the restaurant side (versus the sports bar side). Our meal started with soft rolls right out of the oven and vinegar-y cucumbers. My wife had some them while I passed on them for I don't like cucumbers. Obviously, we later ordered the single crab cake entree with two sides ($33.99). I chose the fries and the up-charge for a Caesar salad while my wife picked the coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The crab cakes did not disappoint! Even though it was a hot day outside, they kept the restaurant very cold. After we ate, I didn't notice it as much because I was so full. A final note is the lunch crowd started coming in around 12:15pm.

Locales and visitors enjoying a Monday dinner - crab cakes or pasta seemed to be popular. The latter may be attributed to the $2 pasta discount on Mondays. The quintessential basket on the table of stale cracker packets and tiny plastic containers of butter probably sitting out 24/7. Meh- why "Oprah" would order her crab cakes from here when the crab is not from Maryland, right? Once I heard that news from the waiter ( I asked, it was not volunteered) I opted for the local soft shell crab special. ( despite it not being season, I should have known better. It was a puny crab with hardly any meat and it was not properly cleaned either. Sides of overcooked brocolli and asparagus. Baked potatoes looked liked yesterday's overcooked option. My colleagues enjoyed the crab cakes which were large portions- should be for $40+ each. Service was friendly, food took too long- it was a long wait for mediocre overpriced food.
