They have HORRIBLE business practice. After showing me a DIRTY Toyota Sienna that had just been turen in off a lease, they tried to to do the Bait-and-switch routine with me on a used vehicle that I had orginally come in to see. They also tried to raise the price of the car by adding in costs of the vehicle when it came time to agree on the price. I had a horrible experience with them and called Toyota's main number to report them. After giving a recount of my experience I was told I should be getting a call from the dealership which never happened. I called Toyota again and let them know that as I was told to do so by them. They said the dealership did try to call me and that I was the reason the deal fell through and made up lies about me. I went to a different Toyota dealership and got a much better deal on a much better used Sienna (without all the BS). read more

Will not be going back. Prices for service are expense in comparison to other local Toyota dealerships. It costed $140 for a diagnosis which took roughly two hours. The representative who drove my vehicle displayed a complete lack of care. This young gentleman recklessly sped off while I was still watching. I have an old car. A 1985 Camry. The local mechanics, and many of the local toyota dealerships kinda treat me and my car like I have leprosy! Dealerships usually cost more money. I really don't mind a little more money, if they are familiar with my old car, know what they are doing, and do a good job of it. I also appreciate professional service and courtesy. I think I get it all at Towne. I know the Morristown dealership is owned by the same group, but I DEFINITELY do not get the same warm fuzzies that I get with TOWNE. I have only one suggestion.. Salesperson: Josh W -Impatient: got frustrated when I was unsure of what model I was interested in buying, which was mostly due to the lack of information I was provided about the vehicles and the limited selection at this small dealership -Inexperienced: had to let his manager complete negotiations after I pushed back several times on the bloated original price -Unprofessional: after price was lowered due to mentioning a competitor, a deal was made. He later asked why I hadn't told him earlier that I had been shopping around, that he would've given me a better price to start with, but he gets paid on commission! Unbelievable! So much for having the customer's best interests in mind. -Not trustworthy: was contacted shortly after the deal was done requesting more $ for fees, and asked to hurry since he "won't get paid unless I get this from you" I later used another dealership with a much better staff, who confirmed I got "screwed" after looking at the deal I made with Towne Toyota. read more

The people are GREAT! My kids always have a meltdown while there and the staff ALWAYS helps. They are patient and kind. Never frustrated. The actual service though leaves something to be desired. My ebrake is not functioning. They have looked at it 3x, two of which were after they replaced my brakes and the ebrake stopped working completely. Its still not fixed. I purchased a 2014 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition from Andrew, one of the Sales Associates at Towne Toyota. He was honest, straight forward, and did not play the typical games you're normally faced with when shopping for a new vehicle. I didn't feel pressured in the least and Andrew was able to either answer or find the answer to the endless questions I had about the 4Runner. At other dealerships I have felt as though I had been literally taken hostage. My experience at Towne Toyota was exactly the opposite. Andrew walked me through the entire process with absolutely no pressure, which is exactly why I walked out of there with a new car. Great APR, great sales assistance, and a great warranty. I just bought my 3rd car from them today, a Rav4 LXE and couldn't happier with each purchase. Tony Bezzina was my salesman for all 3 cars and will always be my "guy". Not only is his knowledge of Toyota automobiles superb but his personality, kindness and genuine concern for my needs an A+!!!!! He was so thorough during the delivery process, showing me how to use EVERY feature and option (and there are many!!) since I'm from "the older" generation technology is not my thing but by the end of it all I was so confident in how to use it all. He helped me set up my remote controls via my iphone In my previous years of purchasing automobiles I have never ever had such an excellent salesperson. I took my RAV in on 3/9/18 for 35,000 service. They state all looks good. Two days later my tire sensor light goes on. We check all tire pressure all ok, still won't go off. Took it back to Dealership on 3/15 was there 15mins, they said all good if light goes back on need new tires. The next day light back on, here I am now in end of May and this light constant on. Dealt with their Relations Manager, did not help. Last trip to Towne was on 5/8, I insisted for them to check every sensor to see where is the issue that something is definitely wrong. And again they are stating issue with the new tires I had installed, I INSISTED IT'S NOT the tires, issue has been going on since March. All they did was over inflate my new tires and reset sensor. Now on 5/27 light back on!!! I took the day off made a appt at Morristown Toyota, was there 2.5hr, I requested to check every sensor they found the trouble which was a valve stem leak that causing this constant trouble. I will NEVER EVER return to Towne Toyota Ledgewood with that kind of service. If I would have return this last time they would have insisted it was my new tires. read more

Stay away,this place is terrible.I purchased a 2015 vehicle (Infiniti) that I could only drive for 2days. I noticed white smoke coming from the tail pipe. I contacted the dealership immediately. They never offered me a loaner while it was being checked,no one ever called me...my husband had to call them. The engine was blown. I've never experienced a place like this , they agreed to a refund. No one has contacted my bank yet. I can't purchase another car yet because the loan is still active. Towne Toyoya never explained the refund process to me, never offered to contact the finance company to explain ( to help expedite the process)I'm forced to put more mileage on my lease because of the incompetence of this dealership. read more

Worst financial Nightmare of My Life. It took 3 Mechanics and over 1-1/2 years to finally make a diagnose which a blind person could have made just by feel. So when I was told to go look at my vehicle in the shop while on the lift (looked like it had been drudged out of the ocean after a Hundred years) I just couldn't believe it was My car. And then my worried question concerning a completely Rusted out undercarriage, was literally shrugged off with, "We'll see when the time comes." Well, Dave, the time had come a long time ago - and Mr. Durrell should have asked Me did I want to continually invest thousands of dollars to replace all of the Corolla's undercarriage, or replace the car with a new one? Instead, Dave Durrell, down played my fears, and a few months latter, I got a bill for well over $3,000 as many components such as the rear axle assembly and sub assembly and God only knows what some of the parts were as I'd never heard of two of them, were all replaced. And all I saw on the invoice papers were RUST and ROT over and over again. BTW The car had less than 50,000 mls on it and the exterior/interior were pretty stunning for a 2003 Corolla, esp. since I had the Front Headlamp Lens replaced for over $600 a month prior to viewing the undercarriage. So, My fears came true when the arm that attaches to the Brake pedal was so badly rusted that it could no longer stop the vehicle. Thank God I had ABS which took over to control the car. This was about the time of Hurricane Sandy year 2012. All Dave had to do was to be Upfront and Honest with Me and I would have traded in the car and I would have bought a RAV4, which Dave, KNEW, I had my eye on - but I simply couldn't bring myself to buy Asian again - So, at the age of 62, and a woman, and my 1st SUV, I finally listened to My Instinct and went RUGGED. Brand New Jeep 4x4 Liberty Sport. Allllllright, I admit, those Chrome Clad Wheels at night which burned my eyes out, were the 'Deciding Factor' But Now? This Jeep will NEVER see the inside of a Dealership after Warranty as I no longer Trust ANY dealership !!! And Sadly, they are all the same; just some worse than others. That's all. read more

Towne Toyota - where the "e" stands for "enter at your own risk" - Ledgewood, NJ. When a marketing person from Towne Toyota called and told me that they would pay off my remaining 6 lease payments, and my over mileage allotment fee if I leased a new car, I was skeptical. I asked if this would be rolled into a new lease and was assured that it would not. Inside the dealership that day, this was confirmed by two other people. Guess what... I was charged nearly $3,300 over the advertised amount because the figures were hidden in the selling price. The sales person bragged about the wireless phone charger and how much I would like it, but as I was about to drive off the lot, he mumbled something about most phones not working on it, and walked away. Mine is in the "most" category. Don't let the title " 7inch Touch-Screen Scout GPS Link App" fool you. It's not a Navigator as I thought, and you probably would too. Yet another lesson I learned the hard way. When I gave the dealership a poor survey, the Sales manager, Frank Giambattista called and said that aside from showing me how to use what little options I had, and explaining the sales contract, there was nothing he could do. He did tell me though that the Leasing Manager was terminated over his treatment of my "deal". The owner of Towne Toyota, Susan Brauer even called. However, when I informed her that I wanted the $3,300 that the dealership buried into my loan without my knowledge, all communication from them stopped. If this is how they treat people who have purchased 3 cars in the last 6 years from them, how do they treat everyone else? Help me spread the word on how Towne Toyota treated me, so that people don't go there and have same thing happen to them. MUST READ: I have never written a YELP review since I have never felt passionately about whether a place in any industry was good enough or that bad. It's absolutely necessary for me to go out of my way to write this. Let me start by saying, if you are considering buying/leasing a car here, please comment on this post and I will give you my contact information... I will even go through the leg work of finding a similar vehicle in a similar price range somewhere else for you just so you do not purchase from this place. I, as well as my entire family (5 people), have been loyal customers here for YEARS despite the sales maneuvers they always pull... when it finally comes time for me to 'cut ties' and hand in my lease (since I have another car from someone else) they explained to me they are going to "take me to the cleaners" on my trade-in since my car was damaged and I wasn't purchasing or leasing another car. I was told they have "no mercy on me because I am not opening up another lease". I am shocked by them not even having the respect to lie to me and pretend they are good people. Consistently the sales person (who I shouldn't have been talking to about a trade-in lease anyway) was trying too hard to close me on another car for no reason. It was painful and aggravating to be apart of. To add to everything else, the 'go to' recommendation by my sales person was to call my insurance company and tell them a tree landed on the car.... You got that right, Auto Insurance Fraud. So, after painfully trying to get a number from him for a trade in or buy out he finally gave me a number and said the damages alone will be up to $6,000 and then many rates on top (then of course tried to close me on getting another car). He told me all-in-all it will be up to $8,000 or more. I said I would take my chances with the real professionals at Toyota Financial. So I traded it in and left. As I suspected the actual total came out to $2400. I thank God and my brain everyday I didn't fall for their bullsh*t one last time. UPDATE: I wasn't going to post this, but they call me every other day still to get me to lease another car. read more

Pulled a bait and switch after they made a deal with me and the wife at night on a used car. Agreed to take our car in trade and pay it off with us bringing cash. We spent hours there, negotiating, then asked us to return the next day with a check. After taking time off, going to the bank, etc., they said, "We never agreed to pay off your car..." They were rude, and ignorant, and made my wife out to be a liar. STAY AWAY...all the more reason to buy American. I called TOyota to complain. Look them up on the internet. They will be out of business in no time flat. If you are driving by them on rte 46, don't stop, just step on the gas and get out of there quick. read more

They don't disclose existing conditions of used vehicle's and hide just under the as is laws of NJ!!!! Beware. $1700.00 just to get the car passable for inspection. None of this was mentioned by the sales person!! This includes brakes front and rear, catalytic convertor fails admissions testing, bad shock absorbers, lug nuts stripped and need replacement. Not included in the estimate is a non working lift gate mechanism that the salesman lied and said the key fob was probably not working due to low battery. Out and out lie. My mechanic told me that the key fob was after market and a dealer would have to repair this. More $'s not mentioned here. I have had my mechanic for over 20 years and he is as honest as they come. He said we got ripped off big time!! I was told by the salesmen that they do not apologize for not disclosing hidden defects and offered no resolution to the problems. NJ consumer affairs said that the "as is" label protects the dealer. Morally they are lower than pond scum. read more

Bought my car in for a basic oil change and found out I needed new brakes. I wasn't expecting to spend that kind of money, but Daniela didn't pressure me. She gave me pricing and explained the advantage of Toyota parts vs. after market parts, plus that having service there also guarantees me a warranty of parts and labor. I liked that I was not talked into something I can't afford right now. Because of that, I will most surely return there when I can afford my brakes. Love the no pressure environment! read more
