In August of 2025 my husband bought his 3rd vehicle from Towne Hyundai. He bought a brand new 2025 Tucson Hybrid. It didn't take long for there to be little problems here and there. Twice the vehicle wouldn't start. Then the back up camera only worked, intermittently. Brought the car in and they replaced the camera. A week later, same problem. Then the other cameras didn't work, followed by the key fobs. On June 1st we brought the car back in. It's now over a month and the service department still has no idea what's wrong with it. But that's truly not the worst part. The worst part of the experience is the lack of customer service being provided. The service rep, Courtney, never calls back. Then my husband escalated to the service manager, Paul. He doesn't call back either. No one can be bothered to return a phone call or provide an update. It's shameful. In one week alone my husband called 10 times and left messages and not a single call was returned. Great buying experience with Jose Matos, but based on the lack of customer service, we can't in good conscience ever buy from them again or recommend them to others. We're currently exploring our options through the Lemon Law as they have left us no choice. UPDATE!!! Less than 24 hours after posting this review, my husband got a call from Ernie Dix, service manager. They finally determined the problem, ordered the part, and received the part via FedEx. The car is fixed and back at home where it belongs! I considered removing the review now that the car is fixed, but honestly it's all about communication. If someone at the dealership had simply reached out and said the part had been ordered, I wouldn't have had to write the bad review in the first place. I have updated my review to since Ernie at least saw the review and immediately reached out to my husband. Bottom line, it's all about communication and mutual respect. The primary reason I chose this dealership was their specific end of year promotion promising to pay off my remaining lease payments. Since my previous lease was also from Towne, they had all my paperwork and confirmed the deal. However, I recently received a bill from Hyundai Finance because Towne only paid a portion of what they promised. I am now being held responsible for payments that the dealership explicitly agreed to cover. I never would have signed for a new vehicle if I knew I'd be double-paying on two leases. For nearly three months, I have been given every excuse in the book: "the finance guy is on vacation," "the check is in the mail," or "I need to talk to the GM." This is beyond a simple mistake; it's a failure to honor a contract. If you are considering Towne Hyundai, be extremely careful. Get every promise in writing and double-check your account with Hyundai Finance immediately. I am a new customer of Hyundai and it has truly been a nightmare. 5/14 i leased a brand new palisade and before i drove it off the lot features were not working (car play). I sent it to the service department a week later 5/21 and they said by 5/28 the part should be received - meanwhile this is a brand new vehicle. I was so graciously given a Kona loaner. Yep I bought the biggest safest vehicle for my family and I'm placed in a basic standard vehicle that is so small my daughters dance bag and groceries cannot fit in it and it doesn't have power seating. Of course 5/28 comes around and the part is no where to be found and there's no ETA. Corporate doesn't care and the manager of towne Hyundai doesn't care. Unfortunately the only pleasant people are in the service dept and my salesperson Esther, all of whom have no power to help me in this situation. Corporate says I'll have an answer by 6/28. Everyone is "escalating " my case but all that means is every 3-5 days I have to re- explain my frustration and get no resolution or compensation. I'm about to make my second hefty car payment for a car I sat in 5 times that's collecting dust in their lot. I can't drive it past 500 miles because then I can't get the new part to fix my car??? So yes my car insurance went up for a more expensive car and I'm paying a luxury price tag for a base model Kona! Just to be clear I did not have a personal mechanic look at the damaged car. It was a Hyundai dealership that inspected it. Towne Hyundai deceived me and took the 2023 Palisade back and gave me a full refund bc I contacted corperate not bc you are a reputable dealership. I also had all the proof you forged certified paperwork saying the car was good. You also took the car back and told me I was lucky to not be charged for a 1000 miles I put on it and a restocking fee. After I returned it you put it back online then I called coperate again and you took the car to an auction site. You are a shady business. read more

When I was buying the car Ionic 5 2025, I was told that I add a choice of a free Level 2 charger and could pick my contractor or a $400 to $450 charging credit. After buying the car I went to the Hyundai site, no credit option and before sending you the charger you need to do throw a Hyundai contractor that cost $1500 or install solar panel. Will think twice before coming back to your Dealer Ship for a new car. All that for $450. Send multiple Emails and no response. Horrible after sale service, seems like nobody cares after the sales is done. At the end I had to buy a charger on Amazon and install it. read more

Town Hyundai Service Department - Absolutely Awful Experience Do not take your car to Town Hyundai's service department. From start to finish, our experience was appalling. Andrew and Emily were consistently disrespectful, unprofessional, and uninformed. My car was part of the Hyundai white paint recall. We received a letter confirming the paint warranty was extended through December 31, 2025. When I called ahead, Emily assured me no appointment was needed, the process would take 10 minutes, and they were open until 5:00 PM. We arrived at 4:30 PM, only to be told by Emily that they wouldn't take the pictures or file the claim, claiming the warranty had expired. Even after showing her the official letter, she continued to argue. Andrew then stepped in and was even more rude and aggressive. He berated me to the point I had to call someone for support. When that person tried to explain the situation to Andrew over the phone, he yelled at her and handed the phone back to me saying, "You need to get her under control." This is apparently Town Hyundai's idea of customer service. Eventually, they did take the pictures. Weeks later, they called to schedule the repaint. Andrew falsely claimed we couldn't get a loaner unless we paid out of pocket, which Hyundai corporate later confirmed was incorrect. Fortunately, we didn't need one. When we picked up the car, it was shocking. The paint job left paint on the sunroof and back window, the trunk was full of garbage, the tire light was on, and the car now makes a horrible squeaking sound. We had explicitly told them not to replace the filters, yet they did--and charged us for both the parts and labor, despite Andrew saying labor would be waived. When I confronted Andrew, his response was: "You got a $5000 paint job for nothing and we did your car when no one else would, so you should be happy." No, Andrew--Hyundai issued a recall because their paint was defective. They were correcting their mistake, not doing me a favor. I've since contacted Hyundai corporate and have been assigned a case manager. I will not let this go until my car is properly fixed. Avoid Town Hyundai's service department at all costs. If you must go and encounter Andrew, ask for someone else immediately. read more

Service review My experience with dealerships in the past has not been good, so I am very skeptical when bringing my car to one for work(which is why I was there today - oil change). I learned today that the right service person can make all the difference. Theresa Herzog is fantastic and is a tremendous asset to Towne Hyundai. She understood that I am on a budget, she didn't pressure me to get unneeded work done to my car, and treated me with a humble professionalism. Lastly and more importantly (to Hyundai) is that she turned my decision around to get brake work done when I was going to just go to my local mechanic. I call to get information and they would not give me over the phone internet service Daniel hangs up on me. Called again and spoke to someone who was more understanding. Got there before my schedule appointment and they couldn't make the deal. Young kid wanted told me he needed my license for insurance purposes. Which I told him no. Because I wasn't test driving the truck I was interested in. He told me he had to because I was on the property. Ignore my location. I am from Madison, NJ I brought my daughter's Hyundai 2006 Tucson V6 in for a check engine light and other issues. They received me friendly and took down all my issues. I also gave them a read-out for the check engine light, but they said they had to check it themselves. They said they would charge me $179 to check the car. They didn't charge for the inspection on the final invoice. At noon on Tuesday, I got an estimate and thought I must be dreaming. - Two light bulbs for the front side markers are $74.06. - Two light bulbs for license plate $$75.76 - One light bulb parking light $41.50 - Rear hatch shocks and glass shocks LH-RH $943.40 - Replacing two TPMS sensors $724.04 Seriously? This is highway robbery and a total rip-off. The two light bulbs for the side marker parts costing $2, and replacing them each took me 5 minutes. The license plate light bulbs were $1.43 (10 bulbs, ordered wrong), and replacing them took 5 minutes each. The parking light bulb cost $0.25. I decided not to replace the bulb because when has that light ever been used? The rear hatch shock and liftgate parts cost $49.78 (the most expensive ones), and the glass door cost $24.08 (the most expensive ones). It took me 30 minutes to replace them all, and it was super easy. I got the parts from Rockauto, which is a quality product. Total casts for the parts from Rockauto are $73.86, and 30 minutes of work on my part. Two TPMS sensors cost $43.58. Removing two tires and installing the two sensors should not cost $680.46. I can get a complete set of tires for that money, and COSTCO will charge me $40 for each sensor. Lastly, they have this fancy SMS system, but they need to answer when you ask when I can pick up the car. Yes, I dropped my car off without an appointment on Monday afternoon, but at least you can tell me when the car will be worked on when I ask on Thursday morning. I had to call on Friday morning to get an answer. Please don't use a communication system you don't reply to unless I ask you to add something to the list. Please don't go there. You cannot trust them at all. read more

Avoid this place and buying a Hyundai at all costs due to the class action lawsuit for their engine failing. One of the most unethical service departments out there. My car has been consuming ALL THE ENGINE OIL ONLY after 700 miles so I brought it in for oil consumption tests. First they overcharged me twice for services but thankfully I had my calls recorded and they contained to ignore my calls and texts. Then Terry refuses services for the car repairs and process to say "Keeping like this or you can take the car elsewhere for service". This was reported to the dealership manager. But then I brought it my car for the second oil consumption test and they refused to top off the oil and the service manager Erine goes on to say "I don't want to speak with him, he is just playing games" the proceeds to assault me by putting his hands on me and pushes me out the door while refusing service. Then they refuse to issue the check for the refund and stating to never come back to this dealership given I have reports them to Corporate for their 4 instances of unethical practices and negligence. read more

I believe the numbers were inflated to result in a predetermined profit margin/monthly lease charge. This would explain why I was NOT given the opportunity to review the lease for a 24 hour period as designated in the lease.
