Solid, no frills hotel. You 100% need a car to stay here--other family stayed here without one, and while you can find Uber, it's not ideal. The hotel is located off of a highway in Linda rural NJ, and there are no other restaurants or amenities next to it. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant, but does offer free breakfast. Food delivery apps choices are limited. They have a nice patio area where you can bring your own items to grill. We had a suite with a stove and refrigerator and a pull-out bed, but while things seemed new-ish, everything was way too cramped for the small space. But it was clean and overall comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the pool while there. read more

We booked through a third-party site, which didn't allow us to select room/bed type, but we were traveling with two kids with autism so we really needed a quiet room with two doubles or queen beds. A young man by the name of Ahmed was working the front desk, and he graciously assigned us just the type of room we needed (even though our reservation defaulted to a king bed). He was super friendly and I can't thank him enough for accompanying our needs. It really made the difference from a terrible night's sleep for all of us or the great one that we had. The suite was clean and very spacious and comfortable. A modern feel, nicely appointed. A full kitchen with full size fridge too. The beds were super comfortable with clean, comfy sheets. We could have used a few extra pillows (there were 3 per bed but each of us needed two), but we probably could have called and asked for them. The lobby and halls smelled so clean and fresh. They probably use one of those hotel air fragrances, and it really makes it all the more inviting. The only notes for improvement would be to the breakfast offerings. They have these pre-packaged waffles you can toast but they're French style so they're very very sweet. Would have preferred either a pancake or waffle maker to make our own. They had little mini-muffin sized egg/spinach bites. The bread/pastry options were also a bit limited. I've just had better breakfast offerings at other similar hotel chains elsewhere. Wonderful experience 5d/4n. This all-inclusive studio apartment has no HOA contract, but all the frills of a condo, including the perfect breakfast choices. The grab and go JD breakfast croissant Jr. was my favorite (fast, filling & free). The staff was present, personable and always helpful with a smile. Humans are all so different so let the staff know if you need something, see something or would like something changed, but only take a star away if your concern wasn't addressed. Coming to comment on this hotel and I was shocked by the low stars! This is our second time staying here. First time was 3 years ago when it was brand new. We arrived and were able to check early via Mobile app. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. We had a 2 queen room which included a kitchen, dining area and large bathroom. The room was clean, nicely decorated and was a perfect set up for our one night stay. The fridge came in handy as we had food to store from a family gathering. Room was clean. We did ask for extra pillows and should've asked for extra towels but we managed. We went down to breakfast in the morning. The staff was kind and helpful. The buffet did not have a large selection but we all managed to find something we liked. My daughter appreciated that there was almond milk available and my son enjoyed the premade Jimmy Dean egg sandwich. Would definitely recommend this hotel for short stays. read more

I really wanted to like this hotel. It looks brand new and from the reviews it appears to be less than 2 years old. I like Marriott's in general and I have been staying in them for many years. I booked a king studio online and got a decent rate. When I checked in it was very easy and quick and they gave me room 420! When I got into the room it was freezing and I soon realized that it had been left at 72° air conditioning in December. I quickly changed it to heat and the heat came one quickly and warmed the room quickly. But that's something that should have been checked by housekeeping before a new guest checked in especially considering the time of the year. The room itself is very nice has a nice full kitchen which because I was only here overnight I didn't need to use. It has a beautiful bathroom and an amazing shower. The king size bed was fairly comfortable though before I got into bed I noticed a brown spot where I would be putting my head and I quickly looked at the other side and didn't see anything so I slept closer to the windows and away from the bathroom. The disturbing thing I noticed just before walking into my room is a huge brown spot on the carpet just a room or two away from where mine is. It looks like someone took a huge dump on the carpet though it could have been a dog since it's a pet friendly hotel. But still it looks really disgusting and shouldn't be that way for a hotel less than 2 years old. The other thing I noticed which is why you're receiving a three-star and not a five-star review is because of the noise you can hear every door slam, the elevator door is opening and closing, people talking in the hall even at normal volume and the truck and vehicle traffic from the highway nearby. I'm on the back side of the building and I shouldn't be able to hear the trucks on the road noise from an interstate on the other side of the building. Again for a hotel that's less than 2 years old I shouldn't hear so much noise if it was built with quality materials which it doesn't appear that it was. There are lots of outlets in the room for charging different electronic devices this room was definitely made for a traveler spending a longer period of time than just a night as there's lots of areas for working plus the full kitchen. Breakfast was pretty good with the standard fare of Belgian waffles, eggs, egg sandwiches, various types of bread, various types of cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. I got down to breakfast sort of late and there were only apples in terms of fruit which was fine but I would have liked to have had an orange or maybe a banana but it is okay. Plenty of seating areas for breakfast and a beautiful lobby area which I sat in last night while waiting for a ride to go to dinner. Wi-Fi last night was very spotty and it kept cutting me off while I was on video calls. Cellular signal in the lobby was non-existent and I had to switch to the hotel's Wi-Fi in order to have a connection. I'm not sure if there's a dead area here for cell phone service or not. All in all a pretty decent stay since I was only here for one night. But for the things that it is lacking it was probably more money than I should have paid. I will probably be back in this area again and I'll have to consider whether I will come back and stay here or not. In addition to what I've already mentioned they have a pool, a fitness center, lots of free parking, charging stations for electric vehicles and is very convenient to lots of local restaurants as well as the interstate highway. read more

From check in to check out, there was nothing more than amazing service, Devine atmospheres and the, "small things" of breakfast on the table every morning. I have always enjoyed my time with Marriot at Townplace Suites, but the service here in the Clinton neighborhood has made it even more memorable. I will never hesitate on booking again. read more

Spent one night here with my 7 year old grandson, we live close by but wanted a little getaway where we could relax and swim. I was very impressed with this hotel from beginning to end. The young man at the front desk (sorry I didn't get his name) was so welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect with two queen beds, a full kitchen. Everything was spotless. We had a great time at the pool, was also clean and perfect temperature. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of variety and delicious coffee. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

I made a reservation here and despite my being a platinum member who has stayed in Marriott properties 65 nights this year I've never arrived to be told "we're oversold" and then to add insult to injury the hotel is refusing to honor the "ultimate reservation guarantee" and so now the hotel and Marriott corporate are pointing fingers at each other. I ended up having to find another room with the closest being in Pennsylvania, almost 2 weeks later and repeated calls to Marriott, no resolution with the hotel GM saying it's Marriotts fault. read more

As a loyal Marriott and TownePlace customer I was relatively disappointed in this property and felt it is misbranded. The hotel is new and very clean. The front desk is overburdened and sometimes not even at the front desk but when they are they are friendly and helpful. We stayed in a King Suite which was among the smallest hotel rooms I've been in and hardly a suite. Generally I stay at TownePlace Suites for larger and multiple room suites but this place makes a Fairfield feel palatial. read more

we stay here often. However, note a few things for 2022: 1. Do NOT stay on rooms facing south. We had wedding parties having a rousing LOUD time outside by the BBQ station. In NJ you have to end outside noise by 11pm which thankfully they did. HOWEVER, if you need to be asleep prior to 11pm for travel the next morning you may be disappointed from the lack of sleep you will get. We were on a high floor and it was terrible. 2. If you have spare time in the day time note the pool is not available for several hours as they have some. "Community" deal going on for the pool. 3. The free breakfast is fare and limited options. Drive to Clinton Diner on 78 for super Meals you expect from a super run Greek Diner owner. 4. Next excuse that has been running with the COVID excuse is not to automatically replace towels on a daily basis. 5. The towels are rough and uncomfortable. Really the worst I ever experienced. I had a terrible experience at this hotel in March 2023. We booked a room for 4 nights at $155 per night. We received a call after staying two nights that we had family tragedy and had to check out after two nights. We were told we would be charged an extra $155 because we were not staying the full four nights. I asked for compassion due to the family issue (family member death) and was told it was policy and they wouldn't waive it. I am not one to write reviews but I Feel I need to warn anyone who needs a long term option to stay as far away from this place as possible. Stayed here from July to March while finding a place to live. We were only credited points for a portion of the stay because things were back doored in their payment systems and we had to fight getting our missing points which are still missing from a stay from august through December. We finally found a place to live but in check out day they produced a $5000 bill that they claim is unpaid, however I wassent a zero'd out invo directly from Marriott. Now they have my dogs locked in a room and will not allow me to get them or my things out. When I asked for a copy of their policies I was told yes but was never given one. Now we are waiting on the owner who is who has been handling our payment since everything is messed up and he's conveniently in a conference. they claim that since my dogs were ok while I was at work, they will fine. Unacceptable. Brittany and V that work here have always been the only competent team members. And they arent appreciated the way they should be. But this hotel prides itself on men who like to puff out their chests. Warren is too concerned with hiding in his office and making sure his hair is combed over. One of the most ridiculous experiences. And let's not forget the guy that died in their gym that they tried to blame their worker for bc she should have reacted sooner though the camera wasn't on in there. Avoid this hotel. Now let's talk about the actual rooms. The sink leaked for the last 2 months. Never got fixed. And when it did, they sealed where it wasn't leaking. Cleaning is subpar sometimes it's great, sometimes you wonder if someone came. I did better on my own. Half the time we were grabbing cleaning supplies to clean our own room bc it was actually cleaned that way. You have to take the sheets off the bed to get them changed or they don't. Stains are in the hallways. Wallpaper falling off the walls. Hallways smell like weed, seafood, or any other nauseating smell at any given time. For a newer hotel it's not kept up with but maybe if warrens useless behind got out of his office he'd see these things. Had to call the police to get our belongings including our dogs because they didn't believe that wasn't legal. Also still waiting on these policies that state when I get an invoice that says $0 balance that that means I owe $5k and they don't have to provide that til checkout and they can then block your door and speak condescendingly to you because you're a woman because that's how it goes with them. So we paid, have an receipt for the stay, are told we owe, we are owed almost 4 months of points that they are missing and refuse to fix, and we had to call the police who allowed us in to get our belongings.
