The rooms are fairly big with plenty of bathroom space and towels . Beds are super comfy I could stay for weeks especially with four fluffy pillows to each bed . I am a pillow Queen ! I didn't check out most of the hotel we were kinda tired and ready to go to bed when we got there. It's definitely worth staying here and there are many stores and restaurants on the street they are on.

The location is not much to speak of, on a busy road, and while things are close, none of it is really walkable. That said, when you come through the door you can tell the people in charge have taken a great deal of care with the place. The lobby is clean and spacious and the people working the desk were polite and attentive. Check-in was easy and efficient. Off the lobby is the breakfast area and it was a really nice touch that they had coffee, tea and water available all day. The room was also very clean and a good size with a small fridge and microwave. I was very impressed with the quality of the furnishings. One issues in the room though was that the pillows appeared tiny, like little squares. It was only after rolling off it it a few times that I realized they'd taken regular pillows and folded them in half before stuffing them into the pillow cases. Odd, but I just unfolded them and that was better. The other issue was that the walls must be super thin because I could hear everything on the TV in the room next door...even at 4am. Also someone was slamming doors repeatedly in the wee hours of the morning. I'm not talking about two times, it went on for a long while and no one from the management seemed to notice/care. I know it's not totally the fault of the workers, but man, when it happens that much I sure wish they would step in. Still, I'd stay here again, maybe the noise was a one off. The bottom line is that this place is clean and comfortable with some very nice extra little touches.

There's always a line-up. I like this place because they keep the place clean. Kudos to the cleaning crew! Thank you. Their breakfast is also good. I like the variety of toppings for the yogurt and oatmeal. I have never been to a hotel that offers a yogurt dispenser like they do. Their warm food is nothing special, they could use a food warmer for this, but they don't. My kids love the waffle and whipped cream. I also like that they have fresh fruits. Overall, they have a great breakfast offering. But be careful with some of their front desk personnel. They are not familiar with all aspects of the inner workings of the hotel and they hallucinate (like an AI algorithm)- they make things up just to have a response. So double check what they say. Hilton as a whole is not a good property for people with status. What I'm saying is, it's not worth it earning or maintaining status with Hilton Honors, there's no real benefit. I have never been granted a late check-out request. I don't really get anything extra or special for being a member.

The room was spotless, modern, and had a sleek, comfortable vibe. I deducted a star because we purchased a room with stadium view and had a view of the roof and the parking lot. The bed was cozy, but the pillows deserve their own shoutout, they were unbelievably comfortable, the kind you actually miss once you get home. Down at the bar, Tom made the experience even better. He mixed up one of the best mules I've ever had and was genuinely great to talk with...friendly, and welcoming. Definitely a place I'd stay again, both for the comfort and the hospitality.

I noticed that, as a Diamond member, they still wanted me to pay for breakfast! It utterly astonishes me the low end places like this still try to charge for breakfast, when so many cheaper places than this, many of them other Hilton Garden Inns, offer free breakfast! Also, they only give Diamond members a $10 food and beverage credit, so it won't even completely cover it if you have more than one guest and get two totaling $20. Don't go anywhere near the concession area there! Yeah sure they have lots of garbage for sale, but when I wanted a single small pizza and a small box of stuffed pizza rolls, plus a water, the bill was $25 for THAT! And the way they try to absolve them selves to blame it on the third party they use to provide the stuff! FYI, my fridge was broken and completely frosted over, so it wouldn't even cool my waters. There was a pizza box with a partially consumed pizza in it too! Yuck! And now my favorite part of the visit, the parking scam they pull there! Because there was a Patriots game happening the night I was there, they tried to hit me with a $60 parking fee too! Upon check in, I discovered this hustle and rebelled against it as soon as I was given a free spot in the retail area in the bigger parking area, due to my disabled placard. Guess what?! Despite telling everyone, from the valet staff, to the manager of the front desk that I had removed my vehicle from the hotel's parking lot, they left it on my bill anyway! When I approached the front desk manager, she told me "it was no problem and would be removed as soon as she spoke to the valet staff to make sure that my car hadn't spent the night in their lot." Then, when she realized that I had outsmarted them and parked in Gillette Stadium's lot, which gives free parking to retail customers at their public restaurants and especially disabled people, she moved the goalpost and tried to charge me ANYWAY! What a cvnt! She stood her ground! I left furious and complained to Hilton Diamond and they told me someone had removed the charge after I left. I'm assuming the GM overruled her robbery of me! Needless to say, anything you do in this hotel is ala cart and they have the excuse of a third party to justify every scam! You have to demand your folio upon check in to see what games they're playing and don't bring a car on the property, event just to unload. The valet guys insist on asking your name and room number before you check in and automatically throw a valet ticket in your car to begin the scam so your car is already theirs, even if you tell them you're not parking with them in the valley service. It's a gang of thieves between the front desk staff and the valet, so beware.

Also I only had one sliding closet door which was odd I liked I had a fridge and way to heat leftovers . I was at the hotel for a week and they tried to change up breakfast a bit each day. I would like some healthier options - plain oatmeal cups instead of sugar laden maple brown sugar I disliked parking is an extra fee/ just build it into the price. I did have to go to the front desk twice for more toilet paper - I only had what was on the existing roll - no extra in the cabinet and it was the nastiest one ply I think I have ever encountered I had packages I needed to ship and the desk staff were helpful lending me a tape gun and printing a label for me when their lobby printing system malfunctioned

He was ready to help me problem solve along the way and was an incredible ally during a very trying time. We saw some people hanging around the back the evidently were staying there. The lobby area has had a small remodel and is promising when you walk in. The hotel was empty but my co-worker and I were at opposite ends of the convention style hotel. My first room was bottom floor facing outside. While walking to my room someone in an employee laundry room area was getting high and ran when I walked by. The weed smell didn't stop there. It smelled like someone had just gotten high in my room, wall paper was peeling and was just gross. I almost packed up and left then but called the front desk and asked to move. I told her the issues and I don't think she cared. She at least put me on the second floor a few halls away from my co-worker. It was slightly better I thought. We went to dinner and came back. I walked her to her room because she's younger and pregnant. The halls were filled with pot smell and we are pretty sure a section was dedicated to people living there. I get to my room and when I pulled back the covers the one bed was heavily stained. I thought gross but there's two beds. Well the second one was stained and the pillows too. It was too late to leave so we stayed. Her room was bad but not that bad. I don't believe my room was cleaned/changed after the last stay. Hair was everywhere in the bathroom. Just awful! I've stayed in some shady places but this one ranks up there maybe at the top. Also, I'd expect more out of HI. It may be a while before I can trust to stay with IGH again.

I question the other reviewers that give holiday inn Mansfield 4-5 stars. It does not make sense. I have travelled to China 50 times in the last 10 years, staying many times in the Beijing holiday inn. Mansfield building is old and decrepit and a joke. Other holiday inns are fine. Being an IHG member for 15 years, I now think award points are a waste of time. From now on, my wife and I will book the hotel we can afford based on reviews. Points save 10% over time, but holiday inn would only give me 2 out of 3 days points back after 4 emails to hotel management and 40 min. on call with out-of-US IHG customer service. If you really want to have fun, calculate the "standard deviation" of the reviews on this property. There is no homogeneous pattern in the reviews.... and easy to figure out what is going on here. I urge YELP to investigate holiday inn is lower case of course.
