I have been going to Toy Tech for as long as I can remember. Jim is Very Honest and won't do anything that isn't needed. You don't find many Repair Shops like Toy Tech anymore. Always get treated right and fair at Toy Tech. When I call Sandra for an oil change it will be done in about 20 to 30 minutes. They don't just change your oil. They check all the lights top off the fluids and rotate the tires. You don't find anywhere that will rotate the tires included in the price of your oil change anymore. Without them wanting extra to rotate them. It is nice knowing that you are treated fairly and won't be paying for something you don't need. You just don't find a repair shop anymore like Toy Tech. Been a customer for years...had a great service then...until they did my front brakes. Told me there brake machine was down and had another way to turn my rotors...well how ever they did it turned my rotors down to much. Had to have my rotors replaced by Hamilton Auto a AAA approved garage in Hemet...which by the way has great service...very happy customers. Then 2 weeks ago went to have my oil chg. by Hamilton Auto..and was having issues with my front wheel shimming in the steering wheel. They pulled my rear drums off and found out when Toy Tech did my rear brakes a yr. back..they didn't put my passenger side rear shoes together right..put the star adjuster in backwards...really couldn't believe it...even I know how to install the star adjuster...so a long story short..cost me some money to correct..I would not recommend them unless you want work redone and spend money..if your ever in the Hemet area..would diffently recommend Hamilton Auto... Wow, Toyota of San Bernardino told me the trans pan has oil leaked on it so it needed to be resealed for $491.00 and the differential needed it's fluid changed for $119.00. I take the Tacoma to Toy Tech and Jim said due to the oil being overfilled (SBDO Toyota in October 17 did it) by a quart the oil leaked onto the trans pan instead of the trans having a leak. He said the differential just needed to be topped of only. Instead of $610.00 + tax, Toy Tech charged $0.00 + tax. Who does that!!! I'm taking both of my Toyotas to Toy Tech from now on. read more

This place is a Rip off! Will not be coming back here ever again! I was charged $90 to replace a fuse!

I have been coming to this place for a couple years now, about 3. First things first, if you have an issue with your car this place 9/10 will fix it. Every single time I came here the fixed my car except one time, that being the last time. HOWEVER, they do charge astronomical prices. Last time I was here they replaced a part on my car for $780 that my mom got quoted for at another shop for $375. I once brought my car in and I just needed the AC compressor replaced, I told the lady at the front counter that's all that needs to be replaced. They quoted me $1000 to replace the whole system instead. Of course I did turn that offer down. These mechanics here are competent, but trust me they will nickle and dime you to the days end. Due to their prices I will be looking for another mechanic. I am willing to pay, but I am not willing to overcharged for certain services. I really did like coming here because I knew the job was done, but I would leave thinking, "damn, just got overcharged again!". Great mechanics, but they do come at a very high price. read more

I use their service for the last six years for my old Civic and I was never disappointed. I am a passionate mechanic and I used to fix myself all the problems with my cars, from changing the oil or replace brake pads to rebuilding engines. Due the lack of time after consulting Car Talk database about recommended mechanics I decided to try Toy Tech service... I am glad I did that. Their service is spot on, the diagnostics are always correct, they never tried to sale me unnecessary services (I never told them that I have a good understanding of auto mechanics) and the prices are fair for a very good job. I had my car towed here once only because the repairs I needed done were going to be cheaper here than at the dealer with that being said the quality of the work was good , the mechanics level of expertise is awesome I believe the techs name is James, now here are my issues, my car was drivable after the repairs but I still noticed an issue so a few days later went back and explained the issue I was having he said he couldnt feel what I was feeling at take off so he said it was carbon build up and suggested I pour in some fuel injector cleaner so him being the expert I gave him the benefit of doubt, so months later the issue only got worse so now he takes a look at my car again and now he suggests the cats need to be changed along with O2 sensors, mass air flow sensor, now the issue here is why not suggest all of that when I first had my car at the shop I would've had all that fixed so I could've got my car running in top shape like it's supposed to , don't fix a problem just enough to get the car on the road then ignore other issues so you can get someone to come back that just left a feeling of dishonesty and to add to that the shop was charging my 1900 for the catalytic converter because they said they only use original parts but when I called the dealer the catalytic converter was 4,000 I highly doubt toy tech was giving me a deal, I had the same catalytic converter installed elsewhere for 1100 out the door that was a mark up price of 900 at Toy tech. Now on the first and only repair I had done I was told to come in and pay for the part so I did because I was told they could only use a dealer part, I was told the price of the part and I also called the dealer and confirmed so the price toy tech quoted me was the same as the dealers now when I picked up my car he charged me an extra 48 dollars for the part but I called the dealer so they marked up the price another 48 dollars, more dishonesty I won't be coming back here again the feeling of getting screwed over isnt a good feeling to get when you're leaving a auto repair shop, I get it they're are experts but that no way to do business. Another thing is after he looks at your car he don't come out and explain the problem he has his front desk girl explain the problem which isn't a problem if she knows what she is talking about but instead she's reading his notes and she makes no sense like have more respect for your customers and have the tech explain the situation not the receptionist especially if he's sitting there next to her he's good enough to take peoples money but not good enough to explain himself to the customer. I'm not badmouthing this shop this is just my experience with Toy tech maybe I'm the only one that had a bad experience here . Best of luck to you all read more
