I have taken my car to this shop for major repairs and other services, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. In my experience, they try to get as much money out of you as possible. After having my transmission repaired here, two additional issues arose--issues they refused to take responsibility for. One of those problems had previously been fixed by another mechanic and I brought it to Eddies Auto Care attention right away, yet they dismissed it entirely even though I was under the warranty period. The second issue became apparent months later when I noticed my engine oil level was unusually low which I didn't have oil leaks before the transmission fix. After taking my car to another mechanic for maintenance and an inspection, they confirmed the oil leak was coming from the transmission side of the engine with pictures. Despite this, Eddie's Auto Care showed no concern when I brought it to their attention and not manned up to take responsibility. Alfredo, the owner, was just talking over me and not giving me a chance to talk at all. I guess he views that as great customer service. I just hung up on him. In addition, they recommend services your car doesn't actually need, while overlooking things that genuinely require attention. For example, other mechanics and friends pointed out that my rear brake pads were worn out and needed immediate replacement. Eddie's, however, told me the rear pads were fine and instead insisted that my front brake pads needed to be replaced--even though they didn't at the time. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this shop at all. They are not trustworthy, do not take responsibility for their mistakes, and will try to milk money from you. read more

This shop is a complete rip-off and takes advantage of people in need. I was quoted $170 plus the cost of the bulbs just to replace an emergency brake bulb and two license plate bulbs -- a job that took less than 10 minutes and only required pulling the bulbs and undoing clips. The mechanic claimed he had to "go into the trunk" and do all this extra work to justify the price. Little did he know, I actually understand mechanical work, and it was clear he tried to take advantage of me -- especially because I'm a woman. Completely unacceptable. Don't go here. Extremely Disappointed - Lack of Professionalism and Accountability This was my very first time visiting this location, and unfortunately, my experience was far from professional. From the moment I walked in, I was met with sarcasm rather than respect. Instead of being greeted in a welcoming manner, the tone was dismissive and carried a "high and mighty" attitude, which immediately set the wrong impression for a new customer. I was told upfront that the installation process would take two hours. Based on that information, I arranged my schedule and returned after two hours expecting the work to be completed or at the very least in progress. To my surprise, my vehicle had not even been touched. When I inquired about the situation, the response I received was even more concerning. I was told, "The work takes two hours, but we don't know when we're going to get to it." That type of answer reflects a complete lack of communication, time management, and respect for the customer's time. Transparency is a basic expectation in any professional service -- especially when dealing with new clients who are coming in prepared to pay and expecting to receive the service promised. The reality is this: when you are a first-time customer, the way you are treated determines whether or not you return and whether or not you recommend the business to others. Instead of building trust, this establishment left me with the impression that customers can expect to be given the runaround, vague timelines, and little regard for their business. I strongly encourage anyone considering this location to do their research. There are many providers who value professionalism, accountability, and clear communication -- qualities that unfortunately were not demonstrated here. At the end of the day, businesses grow by respecting customers' time, money, and trust. If those principles are not consistently applied, then the long-term reputation of the business suffers. I used to bring my car in here on a regular basis for service and repair. I brought my vehicle into this place a few months ago for a battery issue, and ended up paying over $500 for a new battery. Apparently Eddie, the original owner, ended up retiring and selling his business, and the new owners have decided to overcharge customers drastically. I never would have paid that much for a battery change if Eddie were still the owner. They also are no longer open on weekends which makes it very difficult for those of us who work during the day. It's a shame that Eddie is gone because he was honest, trustworthy, and reliable. I've been coming to this shop for over 10 yrs, but no more. I mean, they did fix my car, but they should never have charged that much. So, no longer open on weekends, and way way overpriced. I guess I'll have to find another mechanic. read more

Needed to have a front oxygen sensor replaced in my 1996 Toyota Previa. This "jellybean van" isn't easy to work on and many auto technicians don't know how (or just don't want to). After reading positive reviews, I brought my car in for a new A/C system. They replaced the compressor but could not hook up the electrical because I needed a new HVAC?!? The real issue was that they DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO THE WORK. I Was charged $500 for the compressor and $325 for labor. I drove away with a bad feeling that I was taken advantage of. Two days later, I went to an actual A/C guy and he connected the existing HVAC to the new compressor for $100 including labor and VOILA, it now works. My instincts were right, Eddie's technician didn't know how to finish the job, and I should have gone to an A/C place to begin with. In this day and age finding an honest auto mechanic is difficult. Look no further. Eddie's Auto Care took care of my wife while she was traveling thru San Bernardino. She ran over a ladder on the freeway, shredding a tired and possibly damaging the suspension. The tow truck driver said the undercarriage was damaged and he knew of a good shop nearby. I passed on his shady recommendation and had the car towed to Eddie's based on social media recommendations and numerous YouTube videos highlighting their work. They got the car on the lift immediately and found that everything was ok and we just needed a new tire. They didn't try to upsell me or take advantage of our unfortunate situation and had my wife on the road in less than an hour. Brang my car in to get my AC recharged i was told it got recharged but still wasnt working and to not take it to another shop and bring it back Wednesday but the next day (today) i brang it to my buddies shop and he told me that it was still empty and they never filled it up. They charged me $375 knowing they didnt fill it up and thats why they told me to not go to another shop. And when i called to tell them i hear when he first starts talking to the mechanic then puts me on hold for minutes trying to figure out some bs to tell me. Excellent place to take your vehicle. I have an older dodge truck. They were able to work on it with no problems. I was updated every step of the way on the progress. I never felt pressured to make any repairs that needed to be done. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Only criticism, if any, is they are a Monday thru Friday shop. It makes it hard for those of us who work. But with that being said, they are worth the effort of rearranging your schedule to take them your vehicle. Appts are highly recommended. Got quoted 1/2 an hour for smog check only because someone else was getting helped when I came. Got my smog done in a fraction of time with THE BEST customer service. absolutely horrible experience!! i had to get a loan for the repair of my catalac converter and flex hose. they replaced both - a few days later the hose broke causing smoke and loud exhaust noise you could hear for blocks. weeks later the replacement hose came in when i brought the car in they said it wouldn't work and had to be replaced with a prefab three weeks later they welded it on. as i drove off the engine light went on and i returned to the shop to find the catalac was faulty too!! this took over 2 months in total and nearly $2000 for nothing!!! i'm now going to the dealer to fix it right. i tried to save money coming here but it just cost me time and money i did not have. do not come here for any of your car's services!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

You're dealing with the best when you pull your car into their shop. They're smart, friendly, honest, efficient, and very fair priced. There are three things that made me a regular customer. First off, Anthony said that he'd be finished with my Patriot "In about an hour..Hour and a half." Sure enough, the car was done before an hour and a half. I don't know about you, but I can't stand when a mechanic gives you an estimated time, then goes hours and hours over that time. Secondly, Anthony clearly explained what my car needed. He didn't talk down to me, and he wasn't trying to throw unnecessary work in. Lastly, the place is clean! I watched 2 different people mop the floor in the waiting room; and the bathroom is clean and well kept. They're AAA approved, and they act like they are. Everyone there was a total professional, and the place is family owned. I met the owner (Eddie), and was pleased at how proud he was of his place. You could tell that this man really cares about his customers, and his reputation. I used to go somewhere else for work on my engine, but I won't do that anymore.
