I wanted a Cohiba cigar so I stopped by TP Cigar Bar and Lounge the other day. The lounge was closed (opening next week) but I got a really nice tour of the establishment and a Mr Alexander took his time explaining the different types of cigars I showed interest in and made great suggestions. This lounge has an extensive selection of cigars, an area to play slots and an intimate lounge area where you can sip quality alcoholic beverages and smoke fine cigars. I will be back!!! Huge selection. Classy decor. I smoked my first 708 brand cigar and had a nice glass of scotch in the lounge. Seating was comfortable and the ventilation system was effective. I bought a few more 708s to try at home, but the selection is vast. I don't live nearby but I'll make the trip to buy more cigars here, and I'll bring friends to the cigar lounge. read more

I enjoy visiting tobacco shops. Stopped in with my son to pick up a few Nicaraguan cigars. The humidity in the cigar room was perfect - the best I've experienced in years. I was impressed by the many choices. There's a small smoking area in the back where you can light up and chill with other patrons. In the front of the shop is an assortment of hookahs and other smoking paraphernalia. There's also a small area in the front of the shop where you can sit down, relax and smoke. It's been approximately 10 yrs since I stopped by to buy cigars. First of all I arrived at 11:00 which is the time TP opens. I rung the bell several times and knocked on the door, no answer. I went back to my car, sat maybe 10 mins and I noticed a customer exited his car and was buzzed in. I entered and I observed how the young lady was so engaged with the customer she did not acknowledge me. When the customer left she did not ask if I needed help she stood at the counter like a deer trapped in headlights. I had a question about a particular cigar. She pointed where the cigars were located, walked away unbothered. A gentleman came in and she was extremely friendly and went as far as to ask how's his wife was doing. So, I assumed he's a regular customer. I became annoyed and I left the store and will not return. I refuse to spend my money with an establishment that has poor customer service. I'm guessing there maybe a new owner. The sad part is I live nearby, I have friends and family that enjoy cigars. I will be sure to tell them about my experience and not to patronize TP. The good news is my sister recommended a cigar store located in the strip mall near Pete's. A hidden gem, good customer service and a large selection of cigars. read more

Terrible customer service I sent my sister in there today to pick up some items for me. Instead of the clerk helping her, him and another customer sit back and laugh at my sister because she couldn't follow directions because she has a hearing problem. He yelling behind plexiglass. She got so annoyed and so embarrassed that she couldn't even get the rest of my items. I always thought i was tripping but i will never go here again. Im 30 an recently got into smoking cigars so I thought why not support a local business. When I went in one of the employees kept lurking behind me like I was stealing or something but I didnt make a big deal about it. The place was filled with regulars already smoking in the lounge. It's not a huge place, so know that going in. But the people there welcomed us and made us feel like we were part of their family. After a conversation with the owner, I came to realize that he's a cigar guy running a business. Not a business guy selling cigars. To me, that's a big deal. In fact, they have their own brand of cigars called '708'. Highly recommend trying one. I have had the pleasure of being a customer of this establishment for over 6 years and never have I been to such a warm, hospitable, lounge. As a woman and definitely a cigar connoisseur it is imperative that I am respected and greeted in a way that is never judgemental or disrespectful and this is that place!!! In many other "Cigar Arena's" I have been negatively received...This is not the case at TP as "us" regulars call it. Their extensive selection of imported cigars and specialty tobacco products is one to boast to the masses, their attention to detail and customer care and appreciation is beyond that of some of the more "common" places where cigars are sold in the Chicago land Area. Where one may want to come in one day and not hear TV or music they accommodate..on other days when their is a sport of choice on you can definitely participate in the camaraderie and trash talking on the big screen TV. Or on that random day you want to go down memory lane and hear those hits that made you want to either get up and dance or reminisce on that first slow jam with that special someone they will gladly provide you with the sounds that move us all. I have been smoking cigars here since the place opened and I was a young new staffer in the ER at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital, and then for years when I was in private practice in the area, and boy have I seen some changes. There are old timers here like Jim, Ollie, Mark and Arthur back in the day ..and always lots of new people...always amazing how folks here talk with me no matter how long since I have visited. The staff here are like family to me. Firas and Zaid are the best, Rami was always fun to talk with, I really miss bringing crab rangoon in to share with Canaar. All staff are really knowledgeable. House brand are as good as any other selection. These guys will get special selections for you, they will introduce you, if you have never smoked a cigar before, they will help you and everyone else will support you and make you feel relaxed. They have some of the best cigars money can buy...and some of the best good values in the cigar world. I moved my practice to Orland Park and no longer cross paths with this place, but every time I go back here it feels like meeting with close old college friends. Go here and you will not go wrong. OMG...I just stopped by this cigar lounge for the first time after walking past it several times. I do believe I am in love. I was an avid cigar smoker in my younger days, however I have not had a cigar for several years now. The atmosphere is very cool and relaxed. I was offered hot tea with my cigar and the use of the television remote. They have an extensive selection of cigars, big comfy chairs, a big screen television and premium spirits, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning soon. The lounge part of this place is very small. Very limiting seating, unless you want to sit in a bar stool at a high top table. But that's not my definition of "lounging". Also, there's a neon sign on the front door that says "fine spirits" and a shelf behind the checkout counter with liquor bottle displays. But here's the kicker. You can't drink there. Not even BYOB. But they have a good selection and fair prices, so go there to buy a cigar and then smoke it somewhere else. read more

I have been treated like family, the customers are all welcoming, they have many great events going on,it's like going on vacation without having to go far, they also roll their own brand of cigars, "I recommend the barber pole or the Connecticut " both smooth and refreshing. They have a lounge with 3 leather couches & 4 leather chairs,as well as 1 coffee table 4 or 5 side tables. They have a built in patio were you can bring your own food as well as WI fi so bring your work too. Not only are all of the other reviewers right on the mark with the quality of service and the effort they make to insure their customers get cigars they want, they are currently the only store of it's type that cares enough to keep high quality pipe tobacco in stock, such as Petersen of Dublin, MacBaren's and , yes, Dunhill. It's become nearly impossible to get this without a trip to Chicago. Pipe selection is modest, but they are my first stop for the BEST pipe tobaccos, not the drug-store bagged brands.
