We picked up tea to go. Didn't try it till we got home. I was shocked by how bad the drink was. We ordered the Lycee Cube Peal fruit in a different cup. The drink taste like all the ice melted in a 50% sweet drink. Except this drink was 100% sweet with no flavor. The jelly had no lycee flavor too. A good aweful drink. If i tasted it at the store, i would have brought it back. I got a cup of ice water where they dipped a lycee in a few time but kept the lycee for the next cup. When my friends told me they were opening a TP Tea in Millbrae, I was ecstatic! This is my favorite boba spot & it's much closer to home than the San Mateo location for me. I also love that the space is much bigger with a few tables & chairs in the seating area. Definitely a great location to grab a quick drink & catch up with friends. I've been here a few times during soft opening & the staff has been incredibly welcoming & friendly. I think one of the them actually recognized me when I came by during the Millbrae Mid-Autumn festival too. Hoping that they join SnackPass soon so that I can order ahead before heading over! I did wait a bit for my drinks the last few times I came but I think the staff are trying to get their system down. For the most part, they seemed like a well-oiled machine but I'm sure they are still trying to get into the swing of things. My go to drink is just the regular milk tea with 30% sugar but the handful of times I've been here the drinks were pretty sweet and didn't feel like it was truly 30% sugar so not sure if something went wrong there. read more

If you're a fan of milk tea, TP Tea is an excellent choice! It's my go-to spot whenever the craving hits. I usually have to trek to South Bay, so I was thrilled to find a location in Millbrae. I visited on a busy Sunday around noon, and the place was already packed. It took a little while to reach the order kiosk, but given the extensive menu, I totally understand why people might need extra time to decide. Thankfully, the drinks came out quickly, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Taiwanese Classic Milk Tea with a variety of toppings, along with the seasonal Osmanthus drink. I opted for 50% sweetness for both, which turned out to be perfect--not overly sweet, just how I like it. While I loved the Taiwanese Milk Tea and would definitely recommend it, I found the Osmanthus drink a bit bland and underwhelming. Stick with the Classic Milk Tea; it's a must-try! read more

Had lunch with family in Millbrae dt and found there's a NEW Tp tea opened in Millbrae. I used to order their Tieguanyin Latte at the other location but this one was not as good. The tea was bitter and no Tieguanyin taste. My least favorite was their boba. They are tiny and plasticky. In store order only. (Eventho they use Snackpass) not sure why they didn't open online order. Hopefully this is just a one time thing. I needed up dumped 3/4 of the drink. read more

TP Tea has tasty milk teas. I always try their season drinks as it's something new! I tried another of the Golden Osmanthus series, but the Four Season Osmanthus Ice Tea this time with 30% sweetness. 30% was perfect for this drink because I don't like it when the drinks are overly sweet. I guess everyone had the same idea of getting milk tea on a Saturday afternoon because the wait from ordering to getting a drink was almost 30 minutes! You can see them all working hard behind the counter as well. I got just a normal boba milk tea with 80% sweetness. It was made pretty much the way I like it and they were very generous with the boba. I wish the had an additional modification option when we order so I could say "less boba'. It was good, but felt like it could have been a tad softer and chewier. They also have a decent selection of black sesame drinks, which the husband loves. Overall, solid place for milk tea. Located downtown, so park anywhere on the street. This is my second time coming here to try their tea. The first time was walking to the shop after dinner nearby. We used the touchpad to order our drinks. They were not super busy which was nice. What I love about their drinks is being able to choose the sugar. Options ranges from 0%-120%, and of course we opted for 15% which is perfect for us. Unfortunately, it only allows for one size drink as other places you can choose from a small to a chubby size. The first drink I tried was the Moo! My taro which was good, and the Tie Guan Yin Oolong. This time I tried the Taiwan Classic Milk tea which was yummy. We ordered online for pick up because we figured it would be packed on a Saturday night. They were packed but given some time, they were ready when we arrived. What I also love about these drinks is that you can taste the tea... and I think that's what makes a true milk tea. Definitely coming back to try more when I'm back in town. read more

This afternoon, I went to buy two drinks: one matcha latte with QQ noodles, and the other Tieguanyin milk tea. The menu said Tieguanyin milk tea was a popular drink, so I decided to try something new. To my surprise, it was extremely sweet--like overly sweet. I ordered it with 50% sugar and regular ice, but it tasted like very sweet condensed milk mixed with milk powder. It was a complete disappointment. I strongly don't recommend it to anyone who prefers less sweet drinks. The tea flavor wasn't strong at all; it was just full of milk powder flavor. I ended up dumping the whole drink. At $7.50 per cup, it was such a waste, and I couldn't even take another sip. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give the Tieguanyin milk tea a 1. The other drink, matcha latte with QQ noodles, was also something I wanted to try as a new item, but it didn't taste good either. I don't recommend it. After drinking the matcha latte, my tongue felt like it was coated in powder--there was a heavy powdery texture. I ordered it with 30% sugar and regular ice, and while the sweetness level was fine, the matcha flavor wasn't great. The only thing I liked about it was the QQ noodles. As someone from Taiwan who's had authentic TP Tea in Taiwan, I really think TP Tea in the U.S. tastes terrible. There's definitely room for improvement. For the matcha latte, on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 4, and I won't be buying it again. In the past, I used to order the black tea latte with QQ noodles at 30% sugar and less ice from the San Mateo location, and it tasted good, but I got tired of it and wanted to try something new. Since there was a new store in Millbrae, I thought I'd give the new drinks a try, but I ended up wasting $14. Both drinks were basically terrible! I'll never randomly switch drinks again! TP Tea is probably my favorite boba shop in the bay area for a good milk tea. Tea flavor is always strong and delicious, but I'm not a huge fan of the non dairy creamer flavor. When we finally made an order, she got it wrong and walked away. We asked her to correct the order and she argued with us. Came by the TP tea in millbrae to get the BOGO. Seen the positive reviews about the drinks. When i first walked in and saw how busy it was, there were only 2 employees working. I tried to order the Orange Milk Tea but they said they were out of crystal boba. Instead, I wanted to order the orange passion but they said they were out of stock???  Why have a bogo when nothing is in stock????At this point I just ordered a moo my taro instead. Unfortunately, waited possibly half an hr just for the drink to taste sour and disgusting. It seems as if this store is not ran professionally and is making the employees work in such overwhelming conditions. Having a promotion yet short staffed?? Ordered 2 drinks at 12pm, order ready at 12:30, drink my brown sugar milk tea at 1pm, and notice there are a lot of weird things inside the cup, like brown color kind of powder. I was super stoked to discover that TP Tea opened a spot in Millbrae and it was everything I hoped for! They have an adorable and spacious interior with huge windows that makes the space feel open and inviting. What really stood out to me was that THEY HAVE SEATING. This is game changing for me because the San Mateo location doesn't lol. They are also situated near many restaurants with lots of parking, making it the perfect spot to chill after a meal. I ended my Friday night on a high note with friends, enjoying our favorite drinks and soaking in the relaxing vibes after dinner. It was the perfect way to unwind and wrap up the evening! I ordered my usual Tie Guan Yin, and it tasted noticeably more premium than at other TP Tea locations. It feels like the quality here is better and you can taste the difference.
