Used to only occasionally go to the TP Tea in San Mateo so it's great that there's now a TP Tea in Millbrae!! Popped over for their grand opening BOGO offer and got: Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea (50% sweet) - honestly don't think you could go wrong with TGY. It's my second time getting this (now my current go-to drink), and it's popular for a reason! I think it's a little more on the milky side but you can definitely still taste the tea. Moo! My Taro (50% sweet) - trusted the thumbs up () on the menu and was not disappointed (but in hindsight I guess you can't really go wrong with real taro + sugar + milk lol). Taro was really fragrant, and this was great! Would drink again. Open to trying other drinks on the menu and will definitely be back for more milk tea!! read more

TP is great to have around! Drinks: 7.5 / 10 ; Just tried their Velvet Lychee Fresh Milk Tea at 80% less sweet with boba. I could have gotten 50%, I think their drinks tend to be slightly too sweet for me, especially if you add a topping, I would advise to go less sweet and ask for more syrup if you want after tasting. My sister also got Service: 7.5 / 10 ; Kind of hit or miss in terms of how fast your drinks would be made.. so I would be careful if you think you have 5 min to run and grab a drink. If there is a line, it can take a little longer than average boba places. But otherwise, their staff is always nice and take initiative to ask if you have any questions or would like to order with them instead of the kiosks. Store interior: 7 / 10 ; there are some seats and a few tables available and the interior is nice if you just want to sit and catch up with friends for a bit. We noticed they do have a cute, customized "Millbrae" TP Tea sign which is a great touch. My family and I come by every now and then and have also been to the location in downtown San Mateo. We stopped by on Sun. night for the Lychee series BOGO, and I am pretty satisfied after this visit. Came here on a Saturday night! Super packed so our drinks took about 20mins! The vibes are good for groups but because it gets packed tables get taken fast! I've been here a couple times since this location opened and it's pretty good. I'm glad there are more quality boba shops opening in Millbrae. The first time I went was during the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival, and the line was long because of the crowds and it was opening weekend. The estimated wait time was incorrect, and there was no space inside so we had to wait outside in the sun. The service was much quicker the second time I went. I ordered the Taiwan Classic milk tea with qq noodles, boba, and grass jelly at 50% sweet with less ice. I liked the tea flavor and the drink to toppings ratio was proportional. There's an option to order via their tablets or directly with the cashier. With a wide variety of drinks and toppings to choose from and the option to adjust sweetness level, you'll surely find a drink that suits your taste! Service can be quick depending on the day, but on weekends I recommend pre-ordering to avoid the wait. My all time favorite to get from TP TEA is the Tie Guan Yin milk tea. I usually adjust my sugar level and this time I adjust it to 50%. For some reason, the sweet level tasted like 100%. A few of my friends had the same complained too. A few adjusted it to 30% sweetness and still tasted like 100%. I hope they can fix that problem soon! Overall, I'm happy that they opened up a new spot here in millbrae! Maybe because it's recently opened, so the hours are from 3pm-8pm. I do hope they can open up a bit earlier later on. When I heard this was opening up in Millbrae, I was super excited since this is one city closer to SF. I remember I used to have to go all the way to Cupertino for them when that was their only location, and TP tea was one of my favorites when I went to Taipei. TP Tea in Millbrae is currently in their soft opening phase. This location is bigger than their San Mateo location with some seating, comparable in size to their Cupertino and Berkeley location. The drink menu is the same as other locations with the same toppings, but at this time you can only order with them directly instead of on a Kiosk or online. There was a long line already forming shortly after opening, but they did have 4 people making drinks, so the wait time wasn't long despite the long ordering line. For their first week, their drinks tastes like it's already been perfected since I ordered my usual, which is the Lemon Black Tea with tea jelly & Lemon Jasmine Tea with tea jelly. Will need to come back to test out my other favorites to see if they're comparable to the other locations. read more

They are known for their Tie Guan Yin Tea but their other drinks are solid as well. There are two self order kiosks here that makes ordering fast and easy. Drinks are consistent every time and the same as you'd expect to get from the SM location. Of the boba places in Millbrae, currently Wanpo and TP Tea are my favorite. TP Tea is great for those who like strong tea flavors -- get TGY! I've tried some of the other drinks and those are good too, but none stand out as much as TGY. There's seating inside and it's relatively spacious. Bathroom could be improved. You can order off 2-3 computers, so ordering is relatively quick. You can also order via the app. I wish they had more non-caffeinated options for kids and later in the day. My only other complaint would be that it takes 20 reward points to finally get a free drink. That's a lot of drinks! read more

Dang, I am hooked! Thanks to TP Tea, I am now addicted to Strawberry Milk Tea. They do it better than anyone else. They have strawberry milk and they have the milk tea, the milk tea is my favorite. It's partially blended and has a great flavor. You can taste the tea but it's still sweet. I haven't found another place that makes it this way. That being said, I feel that their other drinks are good but similar what you can get at other boba shops. It can be a bit pricey if you are just getting like a fruity green tea. I also wish their boba wasn't the size that it is. It's inbetween mini and normal which is odd. I like regular sized boba because when made right, it has a great chew but is also soft. With this inbetween size I feel like it's usually too chewy. read more

TP Tea has always been one of my favorite boba brands whenever I'm craving some milk tea. I definitely waited for a bit of the hype to die down for this Millbrae location because it was packed every time I'd walk or drive by. It's understandable because the tea here has a good tea flavor. I also waited until they started utilizing Snackpass like their other locations do because I don't like ordering at the cashier and if you enjoy that then you are certainly more extroverted than me. Parking is okay, but during prime lunch or dinner hours, it is certainly more of a struggle to find parking even though there is a public parking lot nearby. Especially since this area is packed with lots of restaurants nearby. Inside of the store is really clean and there's seating inside. There's a couple kiosks you can order off of or you can just use the app on your phone. Customer service is friendly overall. Unless you are a super Karen, I think the service is pretty good for a boba shop. In my most recent visit, I ordered the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea ($5.95) with boba which is an extra $0.65. Prices for the toppings aren't unreasonable. Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea has been my go-to for many years and always will be. I love the flavor of this tea here. The boba was also cooked perfectly. Soft and chewy with the right amount of sweetness. TP Tea continues to be a top tier boba shop for me in any of their locations. My go to drinks for this place is the taro milk. I like the fresh taro and I get it with less ice and no sugar. The sweetness after you mix it is perfect for me already and in general, I'm a 25% sweet kind of person. The price at this place is pretty reasonable and this is my go to boba place in this area. I recently discovered that a new TP Tea location opened in Millbrae, so I had to check it out while I was in the area! We always order ahead on Snackpass since the wait can sometimes be long. Compared to the San Mateo location, which I usually visit, this one wasn't as crowded. Service was quick--my drink was ready in about 7-10 minutes. The shop itself is clean and has a nice ambiance. Unlike the San Mateo location, this one has indoor seating. My go-to drink is the Tieguanyin Latte with QQ noodles. I noticed the QQ noodles here were extra chewy, which I actually enjoyed! read more

I love TP Tea and their drinks. I would like to be very clear that this is in no way a critique on their drinks. TP Tea is still one of my favorite boba places and I will continue to come back to this location despite this experience. I went around 4pm and ordered 5 drinks. After ordering, it took about 40 mins in which they did say our order was ready on the system and called out our number but we still waited 5 mins at the counter and be like "Where are our drinks?" When someone finally did show up, they still forgot one of the drinks and we had to wait another 5 mins. I let the drink sit a little bit before, and a good inch of the drink is missing (pictured). I will say there were 4 workers and I do not understand their system. It seems they have one person putting labels on the cup and giving out drinks, one person putting toppings, but only one person actually making drinks. I have worked in other boba places and this is a pretty unique system. I will also say I often travel with someone allergic to dairy and have to pay for oat milk. At an earlier visit, when it got busy and I was not directly watching them make drinks, they had put regular milk. I had to go back inside and basically had to tell them my friend was allergic and what they gave me was not the oat milk I paid for. I understand it gets busy but I should not also have to tell someone I have an allergy to get something I paid for. If you have allergies, please make sure you watch them make the drink. Overall, great drinks, potentially long wait, and the quality goes down during rush ours. I still like this location more than the San Mateo location. read more

I believe it just opened. The place has a few seating places and is bright with white/pink marble color scheme. Our order got taken care of quickly and drinks came out also quickly. Items: Four Seasons Osmanthus Iced Tea (half sweet), Fantastic Fruit Tea (half sweet), Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea (half sweet) The fruit tea is on the sour side. So unless you like it sour, I would keep the sugar level standard. I personally like the Four Seasons Osmanthus Iced Tea the best out of what we got. It is light and refreshing.
