After trying the drink, i ask the guy to make it less sweeter which he did. He changed it to a new one, but it was still too sweet for my taste. They put a lot of syrup. My wife ordered a milk tea with light sweetness as well, but it was too sweet for her too. One of my go-to Boba places in Foster City. I remember when it used to be located back in SM, and I've been a frequent Tpumps drinker ever since. I do like their drinks, there's a wide variety of what you can get as well. Their Pumpbo is HUGE! (I always end up not finishing all of it...so I personally recommend getting the smaller one unless you're really thirsty!) I usually get the Lychee, Peach, Passionfruit - with or without milk - green tea. Recently, they're always out of popping boba, but when they're in stock, I usually get those. Their boba is chewy and honey flavored, so I get boba if popping boba's not there. I think for first timers, it would be really hard to decide on what drink to get... (You can get different types of flavors - up to three, for the same price) So you should ask, or try their samples. OR you could mix and match your favorite fruits. It usually turns out good. HOWEVERRR... from experience. I would NEVER. EVER. mix taro with other fruits. It tasted gross. (Personal opinion). One thing I would have to diss about Tpumps, would be that sometimes, depending on who makes the drink, it ends up really sweet, really bitter, or really flavorless. I came here on a Tuesday night with my partner, I didn't know they had some sort of happy hour going on when we ordered. They had two different sizes, t-pump or... a jumbo size, I forgot what it was called. I wanted to try the honeydew milk tea and peach rose green tea! When we were finally ready to order, they asked if it was ok for us to receive a jumbo size cup for the same price of a regular. I said why not, since more quantity for a cheaper price! I was amazed on the shaker bottle they have, they got one specifically for the jumbo size cup! It's taller than the regular size shakers. The shop is small, so customers are able to see everything being made and probably into the back area a little bit. I missed the place trying to find it because they do not have a sign out front. You really have to look at each shop to find where they are located. Once we got our drinks, I took a sip and noticed I had something to chew...? I didn't order anything with toppings, but I realized it's the honeydew powder they used. It's s located all on the bottom.... bummer. The drink itself is good, but tasted a bit watered down even though I ordered light sweetness. I expected it to be less sweet, not watered down. I suppose it was the tea they used. They had two type of sample drinks offered at the front of the area. Being drawn to samples, I decided to try it! The "hot" unsweetened green tea had no flavor at all, just tasted like warm water. It was somewhat disappointing. Soooo, I tried the peach rose green tea next and it tasted watered down also. That is very disappointing because I really wanted to like the honeydew and peach rose flavor. It's very natural to me that I would want to try a honeydew flavor drink in new shops I adventure to since I love the melons itself, too. Since my last 4 star review, I've stopped by and ordered drinks with very light sugar, as well as no sugar, and they've been meh. Pretty disappointing. I stopped in here as I was leaving the shopping center after eating at the Chinese restaurant, and this definitely satisfies the fundamental craving of boba. It's by no means fancy, or full of frills. It's milk tea and boba. For that, Tpumps satisfies that craving. The line (when I was there on a Saturday afternoon) was long, the wait was equally long, and the outcome was 3 stars worthy. This place is unprofessional and low quality. I used to go to the San Mateo location all the time and since it moved here, the place has gone into the ground. I ordered three drinks. One for me, my mom, and sister who were with me. They made their drinks first and my drink was delayed because the employees were busy acting like 5 years olds fooling around. On top of that, they ended up making my drink wrong and I had to go back to tell them and as they're making my drink again, one of the idiot employees is consistently joking around about the fact that the person messed up my drink making dumb remarks like "warning!" "Wow second warning you messed up a drink!" And laughing. Will be telling everyone I know to pass on this location completely due to their low quality and shitty customer service. Share tea in San Mateo is so much higher quality by far. Did I mention the drink they remade me was grainy and disgusting? Waste of both my time and money. read more

This is a replacement location for their original spot in San Mateo. I was so hoping we could justify the longer journey to this location, as I really did enjoy the Tpumps drinks. That being said, though the staff seemed the same, the location seemed to really throw things off. Advantages include the location's parking options, and the nice lake across the street. We did get our drinks and enjoy them by the lake, which was fun. Unfortunately, the drink quality just seemed to be lacking. That taste that used to be there in San Mateo just was absent, and I was really disappointed. We may still return here, but definitely not with the same frequency as the other place. So glad that they opened a TPumps in Foster City but like they need to open one in the East Bay! I always try to mix different flavors and get a different drink each time. My favorites are Blackberry Litchi, Honey Rose Litchi, and Strawberry Litchi. Basically anything with litchi is bomb. I usually always get my drinks with black milk tea and honey boba. I love their boba. It's very soft with a nice chewy texture. You can customize your sweetness level and I recommend getting less sugar as it can be pretty sweet. TPumps is hands down my favorite boba place just because you have the option of fully customizing your drink and are not limited to what they serve on their menu. Also, it's something different from the typical boba places that all seem to always serve hoikkaido or taro milk tea. But please, please open one in the East Bay! read more

PROS -Large sizes -Lots of flavors, tons of unique combinations you can make -Friendly staff -Best boba (tapioca pearls) I've had. They soak them in honey which makes them really yummy CONS -They recently raised the prices by $1 per drink which is a little too expensive ($5 for large, $4 for small) -None of their ingredients are fresh (they use syrup for the fruit flavors and powdered creamer for milk teas) -The floor always has a sticky residue on it which is a little gross -They aren't open very late Overall I enjoy going to Tpumps. They are always friendly and the tea is consistently good. My biggest complaint is the lack of fresh ingredients, especially milk...CoffeeMate powdered creamer is not very appealing. read more

This is my "hometown" boba tea drink spot, which is obviously very convenient for me. I would say that when they first opened up, their drinks were really high quality and consistently good. But over time and recently whenever I order my drink, which is usually a milk boba tea it just seems very watered-down and diluted, (even though I don't get lots of sweetener) it still used to be more creamy in texture and more flavorful. I do keep coming back though because it is close by and I love how they usually offer a taste test when you're in line and compared to other boba tea spots you get to also try what is in there dispenser. One the one hand the occupancy area is very small. Maybe enough to fit 5 people in a line and another 3-4 waiting for drinks. Yeah it's cramped. On the other hand, parking is much less of a nightmare. The location makes you look forward to things like going to the grocery store or going to the bank. This Tpumps location is doing well so far. I still don't like Tpumps style milk tea (leans too much on syrup in my opinion). But it's like Mcdonald's. You shouldn't have it every day, but some days you have a serious craving. read more

Rather, it was in a big boiler and was poured over some boba. I will say, their boba is the best and the combinations are still great. My sisters have always raved about this place being hella good and I've never bothered to come here because I didn't want to make the drive to San Mateo. But we were in the area for the newer location in Foster City, so my sisters wanted to come through and I would finally get to experience why this place is so good. My first initial thought about this place was that it's small and the menu seemed a little confusing because it was all weird fonts and colors and I wasn't following at first LOL! But if you look at the right side of the menu, it pretty much lays out what you need to do to order your drink. I ordered the TPUMP size ($3.50), which is equivalent to a regular sized drink at any tea place, for the flavors CHERRY & KIWI (you can choose up to 3 flavors) in green tea (you can choose between green tea, black tea, or decaffeinated tea), no milk (optional to have milk or none), normal sweetness (I think it's no sweetness, light, normal, heavy?) and with popping boba strawberry flavored. For the price and size, I'd say the drink I ordered REALLY hit the spot! Sweetness wasn't overbearing, the popping boba was definitely a game-changer as it's the only place I know that has it, and I was able to finish the drink without any complaints. I appreciate this place and only hope that they open a TPUMPS closer to me so that I don't have to pay $5 to cross the bridge for some boba. read more

This is a wonderful location as far as wait time. In comparison to the Burlingame location - I prefer driving a several miles just to get my Tpumps fix. Foster City is a family community and love this plaza area. This plaza overlooks the little lake from across and it's beautiful to just chill on a warm day. The people who take our orders are pretty friendly and service moves quick. I love that you can practically request to make pretty much whatever boba drink you want. Favorites so far: Pineapple/guava/coconut green milk tea with honey boba, Blackberry and peach black tea with popping lychee boba, Passionfruit/blackberry/mango blacktea with passionfruit popping boba, Hazelnut/Salted Caramel/taro with black milk tea and regular boba have been almost always our request. Least favorite that my family and I have tried is: Rose Vanilla with green milk tea and honey boba. Nevertheless, we really enjoy mixing up all the flavors to our palette. However, it each there own. Great addition to this shopping plaza. In my opinion, there's not many boba places around the Foster City area. There are tons in downtown San Mateo, but not much in Foster City so I was excited when i learned that Tpumps had reopened within walking distance to where I work. Their space is much bigger than the one they had in San Mateo and quality is basically the same. The lines still exist, but that's expected since they've already made a name for themselves. There's plenty of parking in the plaza and it's easier to park to pick up your drink and go. I usually order my drinks "light" sweet because the regular sweet is waaaay too sweet for my taste. You can mix up to 3 flavors and a lot of the time the long line is helpful for me to decide on which flavors I actually want. Their boba is already flavored with honey and always perfectly chewy and soft. Before you get to the front it would be helpful to know 1. What size? 2. Green tea or black tea? 3. Milk or no milk 4. Tpumps is pretty aight. I love their honey boba, like how many other places offer that? My usual is a green tea with honey, peach, and honeydew, with no milk or extra sugar. Really be careful with the sweetness level. If you're a person who actually likes a hint of tea flavor and not a blast of jolly ranchers in your mouth, lower the sweetness. Sometimes they give samples and it's a pretty good gauge of what their normal sweetness is. Also, tuesdays is Tpumps Tuesdays, so you can upgrade to the large size for free. There is always a line in front of Tpumps. It must be one of the most popular places in Foster City to command such lines, at least among teenagers. They have a huge variety of bobba teas. I tried the strawberry mango black tea with bobba and my wife had the rose lychee green tea. They were both very good. Although I wonder why Tpumps is so much more popular than other bobba tea places. The place doesn't offer any seating, yet, there is ample free parking right in front while you are waiting in line for about 20 minutes. The fruit flavors were good, but it was not sweet enough for me. I like super-sweet drinks like Snapple and Kool-Aid, so boba is not up to par.
