I come here for Tpumps Tuesdays. On Tuesdays any drink is upgraded to a large for free and you are able to add boba for no extra charge as well. My go to drink is the Rose Vanilla Green Milk Tea with boba. The rose and vanilla flavor just tie in really well and works well with the green tea. They have other flavors, some other ones that are good are the peach green tea or lavender milk tea. The only issue I had with my order that day was the boba was unfortunately clumpy. My straw kept getting clogged with the boba. Once I was finished with the drink I could see a big clump of boba fused together. read more

The strawberry and mango green tea 50% wasn't my fav. The first sip, I felt like I smelled and tasted this machine flavor since it tasted warm and I tasted this kinda of machine taste before. The drink was ok but maybe get regular sweetness since 50% isn't to sweet. read more

Aside from the fact that they give you large amounts of drinks and have somewhat of a unique way of ordering drinks, I would say that it pretty much lands smack dab in the middle of all the other boba places I've been to. If there's anything special about it was the service I got from the cashier. However, everything else was ordinary. This place isn't even all that old yet but for some reason the establishment seemed somewhat run-down already. I would also say that because of the noise level in there, it's not really an inviting place to stay and drink your drink. Yvonne was super attentive and so sweet! Being in a city like SF I feel like personable interactions or good customer service is so rare but that wasn't the case. I asked for her recommendation and ended up getting the honey lavender lychee (GMT and light sweetness) and it was SO good! She asked me if I liked my drink afterwards which I thought was really nice considering the line of people they usually get. Because of her this Tpumps location is by my favorite! :) People complaining about the price is funny because I paid $5 which is GREAT. They've got an abundance of flavors and combinations!! I've never gotten a drink I didn't like. They offer a small fridge with preselected flavors for $2 or you can make your own crazy combo for 3.50. The area is not the best for parking and there's often a line so plan ahead. The local school kids love this spot. There's no table seating, just a bench for waiting. Sometimes they pass out samples down the line to ease the wait. read more

Not my first time here also not my last! If you don't already know, TPUMPS TUESDAYY (free upgrade to jumbo size where you save a dollar!! ) I ordered a Salted Caramel Black Milk Tea with Boba and boy was it sweet! I have a sweet tooth but wow, that was a tough one to get through! The boba tends to be more on the soft side which I personally prefer. I came around 7PM around peak hours and had to wait outside for a bit. The line went by quick so no complaints. Downsides would include: No pickup orders on Tuesday's! So you gotta show up!! A couple of months ago, I watched the tiny Chinese female Manager call out someone that was tasting the small sample cups that Trump has. She was very rude to the customer. What the tiny foul mouth Chinese female Manager doesn't realize is that customer gives his three grandchildren money every week to buy drinks at Trump's. I love having the chance to come to trumps because I love the concept of the store and the amazing popping boba toppings. Although I ordered 30% sugar, the drink was still a little sweet for my taste but I do prefer drinks with a stronger tea taste. It's not a dream. I'm actually giving Tpumps 4 stars LOL. I actually love their drinks. This was my first time visiting since the remodel. The shop looks way more modern now. They have noncafinatted tea and soy/almond milk options as well. There's always a line though.. 2pm on a weekday and it's filled with teeny-bopper girls. I was definitely out of place. I love tpumps!! I always come here when I visit the city. They have street parking, but usually find parking when I go. There's usually a line because it's sooo good, but the service is fast so the line goes by quickly. They have so many options to choose from, so by the time you decide what you want, it's your turn to order! I've tried a lot of different combinations here and they've all been good. The boba here is sooo fresh. Not like other boba places I've been to. I order the large and i feel like they should give more boba with each drink. I get it, it's a popular spot but boba is the best part and I always seem to run out before I run out of tea or milk tea. Came here so I could compare this restaurant vs. the one I usually go to on Burlingame and the taste is pretty consistent! Drink: I always get the Strawberry Mango and it has just the right amount of sweet! I always ask for no ice because I don't like mine getting watered down by ice if I don't finish it. My cup has never spilled or broke as I carry it to my car. (You'd be surprised how often my boba cups break on me haha) Service: Love the cashier and the server. Both greet me and are polite/knowledgeable about the menu. The server always wipes down my drink and asks me if its sweet enough or if there's enough boba. I love it! Will continue to come here if I'm in the area. Location: Irving Street is pretty busy since there's a ton of restaurants and other small businesses there. All metered street parking. There's something to be said about consistency at a boba place, and Tpumps has nailed it! You can order something 10 times, and it will be the very same experience, through and through. A little bit about the boba itself: it's consistently got a bit of squishy give, and has a full body (if that makes sense). What I mean by that, is there's no slimy / mushy outer layer as with most boba places, and its *always* sweetened. Hence the name for the topping - honey boba! Sometimes it'll even taste a bit like burnt marshmallow, but only slightly. Point is - it's always sweetened, unlike lots of the other boba spots which fail to do so, or only sometimes manage to sweeten their tapioca pearls. The boba is usually pretty easy to chomp through, and has never been served undercooked or with a harder core, as some places do. At the register, Brendon made sure we were all taken care of, while swiftly moving through the line, per Tpumps fashion. Don't let the long lines scare you away here - these guys move through it quick. There's endless flavor combinations to choose from, and they will be happy to remake your order if you're not completely satisfied! Tpumps isn't my first choice when I want boba or milk tea flavor drink. I still find their drinks too sweet and lacking substantial tea flavor. However I do find Tpumps to be convenient and when your feeling like taking a cheap gamble they offer $2 premade tea drinks with wide variety of flavors. So I update my review 3/5 cause while Tpumps doesn't make premium tea drinks IMO they do offer convenience and low cost much like our local SBs. read more

My first time here!! I finally understand why my friends love this place so much. You get to choose up to 3 flavors to put in your tea/milk tea which makes it completely customizable. I was a little turned off by the long line, but my boba hating boyfriend reassured me that it would be worth it. He however did not tell me that their boba is bomb, and watched me order my raspberry lychee watermelon green milk tea sans boba. Near the front of the line, there's 2 sample dispensers. They had a raspberry lychee one, which I loved and decided to order. I was a little overexcited so I added watermelon to my drink which made it too saturated with flavor. Even when I ordered my drink with less sugar, it was too sweet for me. But that's my own fault for being overzealous with the flavors. This is not a sit down boba shop, even though its big enough to be. They don't have tables/chairs other than a small bench by the window. Most of the space is taken up by the line. Tpumps is a solid spot for boba if you ask me. There are a BUNCH of different flavors to choose from and that might be an understatement. There's a spacious lobby area which is nice (don't feel crammed) but I think there should be more tables/chairs for people to lounge around. There are only benches along the sides. I got the taro, strawberry black tea with milk and honey boba. At first, it seems a little daunting because you're mixing so many different flavors together but it was pretty good! You can taste all of the different flavors blend well together and the boba was nice and chewy. You definitely get a little skeptical combining so many different flavors but you shouldn't worry because if you don't like the drink, they will make you a new one...no questions asked!! This is a great policy!! I definitely appreciate how Tpumps prioritizes customer satisfaction and I look forward to coming back! read more

I've been to this location twice--once on a Friday night (peak hour) and another time on a Friday morning. 1st: I believe my friends and I waited 30+ minutes in line to order dranks and another 10+ minutes to get our orders. Parking wasn't bad. 2nd: Walked right up to the register, ordered and received my drank in under 5 minutes. Parking sucked asssk tho! First time, I ordered the Almond Roca milk tea with honey boba balls. Blah! I don't know why I thought that sounded good. It was good, but not great. I don't think it tasted like roca.. I took me a while to finish it, but the balls were good! Good consistency and chewiness. Second time, I ordered the Pineapple guava black tea with honey boba balls. YASS! It was bombDOTcom. The flavors intermingled nicely together and it was refreshing. Thirst was quenched. And again, balls were on point. At Tpumps you can customize your drank to your liking. You can have it sweet, not too sweet, normal.. Oh you can it your way. You can combine up to 3 flavaflavs in your drank and come up with something unique and tasty. And the price doesn't change! Very few boba shop allow you to do that. Whilst in line, they'll usually pass out samples to try, so if you're unsure of what you want to order, get a sample! Overall, this place is bomb, just not the location. Parking is a gamble. Prices are pretty good (i believe its 2.95 for a regular, 3.50 for a lrg?), which is cheaper than most boba shops I've been to. Service is good, drinks are good (depending on what you get). I'm not complaining. You just have to come at the right time in order to get in and out quickly. I'll definitely be back...if I'm in the area. Pls expand out to the East bay! read more

San Francisco finally has its own Tpumps that opened in an area with 3 Teaways, 2 Quickly/Kobe Bento's, and Wonderful Foods. Showed up to their soft opening where I was 5 feet away from the door which I avoided the long line but I took a while to at least order and get my drink made. First thing I noticed on the milk tea menu was the new flavors offered like Peppermint, Blackberry, Cherry, and Pomegranate. I got the Passion Milk Green Tea and a Milk Green Tea which both tasted a bit sweeter that expected for lite sweet and I also got a lot of ice in my drink. One thing I noticed at this location was the price was up $0.25 from the San Mateo location but I was worth it for gas money or even Caltrain fare. A funny thing was that a friend of mine asked if I wanted Tpumps from the San Mateo location at the same time because he say that there was no lines there. I guess most of the customers were from San Francisco after all. Will return after a month when the hype goes down where I can get my drink faster. In the mean time I will still get Tpumps from San Mateo. A tip is to come at night at around 6-8 on weekdays when there is literally no line. read more

I was running errands around SF and did not have time for lunch. I had seen a huge line outside and wondered what type of establishment this ot was. I also took a peek in the window menu and still was curious type of snacks/ drinks they served here. I realized they had Boba drinks and I had ordered a Mango Paradise when they had no line. I knew someone in college who was working at Tpumps at the time and I asked her what was her favorite drink. She told me that she gets the honey mango black milk tea with normal sweet. The next time I went home, I ordered that and I never looked back. Sometimes I'll switch it up and get strawberry honey instead, but they're all delicious. Those two drinks are on the sweeter side, so if your taste buds can handle that, then try it out. If not, you can always ask for less sweet. I don't go home often so when I do, I go a little crazy with it. I once got Tpumps seven days in a row, and a couple of those days I got it twice. This is my favorite boba place but I wish there was one closer to where I live. I guess it just makes me appreciate it more when I go home. Tip: don't get the taro coconut. read more

I'm not sure if the other reviewers are not familiar with PMT is, but this store was unprepared, unfinished, and tasteless. I don't how this place could even get close to 5 stars... To be honest, I was skewed by all the good reviews before coming, and I was going to give this place 3 stars, but honestly, now that I've had time to clear my head, this place is like a 1.5... heres why: 1. This place isn't finished... or is it? If you look at my pictures, there is no real seating, the walls are pretty much empty, the front window is not cleaned, and the little bay window area on the inside, looks like construction has been abandoned. They also need to rope off the line, as it's a huge mess... 2. The lines are terribly long. This in itself wasn't an issue, until I realized why it took so long. There are just too many darn options! And I know people like options but the issue is, when I order a peach tea or passion tea, almost all places default to peach green tea or passion fruit green tea. IF they wanted black tea, they would ask for it, or else, it should be defaulted. Now, I don't often order taro milk tea, but I was ordering for my roommate... green or black tea? I have no idea... Options to choose from: a. Type of drink b. Green or Black tea c. Level of sugar (regular, light, none) d. What "toppings" (boba*, taro, red bean) 3. Today they didn't have the toppings taro nor red bean. Their pearls were a bit softer than I liked. Wonderful Foods a few blocks down has the perfect pearls. 4. The cup is flimsy, it's terrible to hold, and my gentle hands caressing it still felt like I was going to crush it. 5. I ordered Passion Green Tea with Pearls, half sugar. My first gulp was a bit sweet, but after that, it tasted completely watered down and flavourless. I don't mind, I actually prefer less sweet than overly sweet, but this was a bit much... I usually get a drink with ice and let the ice dilute the drink. This time, when I received my drink, my ice was already melted, and my drink was lukewarm, and overly diluted. This is the same with the Strawberry Green Tea my friend got. 6. The menu is an eyesore. They use a bunch of different sizes and it's really hard to read... 7. Personal peeve, Pearl Milk Tea is the direct translation of what this stuff is called in TW/China (its called Zhen Zhu Nai Cha); you'll rarely hear it as Boba (which translates to boobs). I guess there's no chinese on menu, so this place is catered towards non-chinese people. 8. The chains Ten Ren and Fantasia are much better, and if I want milk tea, i'll be going down the street to wonderful foods. There is no Credit Card minimum! that's a plus... oh and, I uploaded zoomed in pictures of the menu for you so you can study it ahead of time. Also, look at bullet #2 and be ready to order. NOT Recommended, and I will NOT be returning until this place gets their stuff together. Not worth the wait... NO hours posted anywhere... sorry guys, I forgot to ask. It's $6 for a drink with an extra serving of boba and you can create any drink combination you want because have a bunch of different syrups for all their flavors. Their boba is always fresh & chewy and the drinks are remarkably consistent. My favorite combinations are (1) black milk tea with brown sugar & marshmallow, and (2) passion fruit, tangerine, and guava green tea. While I normally love regular boba I loved that they have the option for popping boba here! I've heard about this place numerous times and I always just thought it was probably nothing special. I had a friend come before and told me it was overhyped and not worth the wait. I came here today for a drink after going to a bakery across the street to finally try the T-pump craze. The line was out the door which I heard was normal, so we stayed. Waited in line for about 30 mins. But getting the drinks only took less than 10 minutes... I think it's a good concept to be able to pick 3 flavors for your drinks instead of just one at most boba places. I went with the mango green tea, one iced and one hot. I order this at a lot of my favorite boba places in Sac so I wanted to compare. I was pleasantly surprised! I could tell a difference in the drink from all the other mango green teas that I've tried. I'm not quite sure what it was or what they do, but it tasted great. I was super full though so I didn't finish much of my drink. I had 3/4 left and ended up spilling it when I got home.....you can imagine I was extremely sad to spill 3/4 of my drink that I waited half an hour for :( I live an hour and a half away so I hope to return soon! read more
