I already got hired at three different jobs which I'm going to work all three cuz I'm a beast like that. 2 part times and a full time. At least 2 of them I'm taking for sure. but I want my back pay. Don't ever work for Isiah Bingham or his dad or that lumber yard they suck! After 10 months of all the overtime I worked in extra work I put in when no one else did And I couldn't even get a single dollar raise or even over any sick days or vacation. If there ever was a company that operated not by the books it's them. I swear I don't even think they have a book to go by. Either that or they lie on all their paperwork. And they should be safety audited. I got injured pretty much everyday because of unsafe working conditions and poor training. They treat their employees like crap and the other employees treat each other like crap and swear and yell and are completely unprofessional. I worked hard. Meanwhile, the lead on the truss table is always on his phone gets to take however many paid days off He wants and takes as long of breaks as he wants without any repercussions. He does not lead and he does not train or answer questions from his co-workers, just greets them with disrespect and arrogance. I voiced my concerns on safety and the mistreatment of each other there and was only met with confrontation and my supervisor even put his fists up and threatened me and told me to shut my mouth. They just wing it everyday. Lousy.

The owner John said it's checking. You should've dried it in your garage before you put it on.. I thought this was kiln dried wood ! Sad! I spoke to a lady today who also did the same as I did, and she's having the same problem and cannot believe how cracked the boards are. I have never bought wood that is this poor..

We have had horrible contractors work on…read moreprojects throughout the years here are a few examples: patio-worker said he wasn't going to dig into the hill anymore, we have awful soil, he wasn't hand digging he was using a excavator, but he flat out refused to dig what was specified the landscape plan small scale kitchen re-model--sink got moved as well as refrigerator, contractor didn't hook up the water line to refrigerator correctly which leaked. New wood floors were covered during the work, when the work was done, floors were ruined because of the slow leak that we didn't detect. Garbage disposal wasn't hooked up, when the faucet was turned on, water went all over the floor basement remodel- contractor only visited the job at the very end of the project, he looked around and said "it came out better than I planned, I'll have to charge you more" Those past experiences made us wary of doing any more improvements on our house, but I wanted a larger kitchen, so I went on the recommendation of a co-worker to give Suburban a call. They had just finished her kitchen and it was beautiful. Our kitchen was done in 2013. It came out great. In 2023 it was time to update our 35 year old bathrooms-2 full and one 1/2 bath. I ended up calling Suburban to do the work. They are true craftsmen and professionals. They make recommendations even though it will mean more work for them like adding a light in the shower or updating our can lights in the kitchen because there a better lights available now than 10 years ago. There are several other things that I appreciate about them. They communicate constantly about what needs to be done. They are easy to reach. They are trustworthy and show up every day and work a full day. You will know when they will be there and what time they will leave. They do the work, they don't sub it out to someone else. I also felt comfortable with them in the house, they seem to genuinely like working together which added to the positive atmosphere. It can be very stressful to see your house in a demo state but they gave you confidence knowing that it would look great when done. They will also tell you how long the job will take. In both kitchen and bathroom re-model jobs they were completed on the day they said they would finish. That is so important. When your house is a disaster with all the demolition it's nice to know it will be done in 3 weeks (kitchen) and 12 days (bathrooms). I couldn't be happier with them and their work. I highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of having work done in their home.

Several years back I purchased a granite vanity top (with porcelain sink) for our bathroom. We…read moreprocrastinated installing it and then decided to sell the house. The vanity top traveled with us to the new home. Of course, as life would have it, the top did not fit in any of our bathrooms. The granite was very light in color, and looked similar to marble, so I held on to the top in the hopes that we could use it in a future remodel. Just for kicks I called Upstate Granite to see what the cost would be trim the the top to fit. The receptionists answered a few of my questions and then passed me on to a gentleman. He asked me very specific questions and gave me a quote over the phone. He told me if I dropped it off that afternoon, it could be completed by the following day. After chatting with the husband and and making further measurements, we realized more trimming would need to occur. We took the top over. The same guy (sorry, I can't remember his name) was available. He asked questions to get the full scope of the project, then advised us on the best solutions. He did end up trimming and polishing the top for us -- in less than 20 minutes. The piece is now installed and looks great! I can't compare prices, as Upstate was the only granite company I called. Their showroom is quite attractive, so I imagine I could have found a smaller place, with less overhead, to do it for less. However, I was pleased and would most likely return to them if I had future granite/marble needs.

We tried a couple of other companies, but could not get it without a seam right down the middle ! Then we went to Upstate; they looked at our drawing and said 'no problem'! We were elated! One week later, they delivered our granite top (jn one piece) through snow at our house and up the seven stairs! Their crew of 4 healthy men did a fantastic job...it is beautiful!!! Last, but certainly not least...they gave us the best price. THANKS UPSTATE GRANITE!!!
