I would not recommend him at all. He took a big chunk out of my tongue during a crown removal. The assistant blamed it on my tongue moving around during the procedure. I said, so the next patient is going to be told that there is a good chance a chunk of tongue will be taken out during a crown removal? They finally decided to use a tongue depressor to hold my tongue down and keep my tongue out of the way. Their excuse was that they did not anticipate the movement. What is this, the first time they have done this? Then the assistance kept running out of the office to get things. Why were they not prepared for all the tools and items they needed before I got there? There were more issues but I'm only going to concentrate on two: the chunk of tongue they took out and the disorganization. I'm not going back until Dr. Nguyen comes back.

I called Dr. Miner's office on Monday afternoon and the doctor agreed to see me Tuesday morning for consultation and possible surgery. He was able to do the surgery and remove both teeth with the speed I comfort I never experience before. It was just "top, top and pull" and the tooth was gone. Wow, it was amazing and Dr. Miner is amazing and absolutely the best! Today, I'm still doing great, no pain and no bleeding! I think Dr. Miner is the best oral surgeon in the San Diego area. He is also supper nice and made me feel comfortable and safe before and during the procedure. I was very, very scared but he was able to calm me down and still performed the surgery without sedation. In fact, the whole team in doctor Miner's office is super nice and welcoming.

During the cleaning, with my eyes closed, something was squirted into my mouth and I was told to rinse and spit. it was chlorhexidine antibacterial rinse... the exact type of add on I had already declined multiple times to multiple staff members, including the dentist and the lady who quoted me for the visit originally and reviewed prices with me :/ At checkout I was told I still had to pay +$55 because it had "already been used." I tried disputing it, but after waiting 20 mins while the receptionist dealt with another rly upset customer, I had to leave for work and just paid it. I left feeling disappointed and honestly taken advantage of.. being charged for something after repeatedly saying no to it is not okay. I hope the office takes consent and listening to patients more seriously in the future :(
