I recently went to this tractor supply a few times based on a generator. I ended up buying the wrong one and then needing to return it and they worked with me nicely while getting the processes done as it involved working with 6+ people in the store because of purchase, forklift loading and unloading with my car and refund. been treated badly by the cashier both times I have shopped here. The 1st time the store manager was also rude and I had to take my refund to another TSC-a refund within the store policy as described in the website. The 2nd time I waited for my pick up order at the front with no one coming to help and the cashier said we'll get to you when someone comes up to help but you'll just have to keep waiting. At that point so could have just gotten the item off the shelf and gone through the checkout line so I headed to get the item off the shelf. I saw an employee who I then asked to help with my online order. He was very friendly and helpful (thank you!) and didn't even know I had been waiting at the front !! No apology from the cashier as we went past and he was told by the employee helping me that his call for someone to help me was not received. I recommend you go to another Tractor Supply. We bought a 1,590 dollar self propelled Toro 30 inch lawn mower. Hoping it would cut at least an quarter acre of grass. After setting it up we found the control to keep the blade spinning was junk. Did not work at all unless sitting on concrete. If you tried to cut grass the blade stopped. Spent an hour to adjust it to no avail. Toros most expensive lawn mower is a piece of junk. We took it back to Tractor supply the next day. Reagan was very helpful and refunded our money. I just hope Toro takes this mower off the market until they get their sh... together and put out a product that works. I love the people at Tractor Supply, always helpful and stand behind what they sell. read more

I live in Austin and this is the only place within 50 miles that has a (decently priced) kayak. Everywhere else I looked is sold out unfortunately. So I drove an hour out of way to go here and snag the last kayak they had. When I got there, I had a hard time finding someone who could help me. When I finally did, it was a blonde woman, she wasn't very personable and she seemed like she was having a bad day and frustrated. She kept walking around trying to figure stuff out and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to stay put or follow her bc she didn't really say anything to me. She rang me up and sent me on my way, said someone was gonna help unlock the kayak so I could put it in my car but I wasn't sure where I was supposed to meet the person who was going to help. I stood around until I eventually just walked outside and there was an employee standing out near the kayaks there asking random people if they were the one who bought the kayak... there was just a lot of confusion and unclear directions between staff and customer. This Tractor Supply is my favorite. The staff is always friendly in a folksy way and the feed seems fresher. The store also has a bigger footprint than some others: it's more open inside and the aisles seem a little wider. Sometimes, there might be only one cashier and the checkout line can get long. Usually, they'll open another lane before the customers become too frustrated. This used to be a pretty good place until recently. My son and I stopped by on our way home last Saturday to pick up some horse feed and we ended up getting there shortly before closing time. We couldn't find our normal brand and type of horse feed and ended up walking around the store looking for an employee, with no success. With only one cashier working, I got in line and waited to ask her if anyone could help us in locating our normal brand and type of horse feed. We finally made it to the cashier (Anna) who was super friendly and nice, a personality that one would expect from a Tractor Supply employee. However, she had trouble looking up our normal brand and type of feed, repeatedly passing it over in her price book. She finally found it and looked it up in the computer, which showed that they had 38 bags in stock. I then purchased four bags and she got on the PA system to have an employee bring it up front. Time passes and she gets on the PA system again, with no employee responding. Frustrated, she begins to look around and then heads out the front door. She starts talking to some man smoking a cigarette in the parking lot and walks back inside, telling me that the manager would now be assisting me. In through the front door walks the manager, a man who has what looked like homemade/prison tattoos all over his arms, was dressed like a biker and had nothing on indicating that he was a Tractor Supply employee, no vest, no name tag, nothing. (Picture has been added.) After finding out what feed exactly I had purchased, he walked back to the feed area, quickly returning to tell me that they were out. I informed him that both his employee and the Tractor Supply website showed that the store had 38 bags of the brand and type of feed that I had purchased in stock, suggesting that it might be in the back. He replied, "Hey, feel free to walk back to where the feed is and look for yourself, bud. We're out." I asked him if he was concerned about their computer system showing that their inventory was off by such a large amount and his reply was a resounding, "Nope!" My son, who followed him to see where the feed was actually at, then asks me, "All he did was look where we were looking, why didn't he go into the back and look?" I could only reply, "Son, I'll tell you when we're in the truck, this is neither the time nor the place to discuss this life lesson." The original cashier then set up a register for the manager to refund me my purchase. The manager however tried and tried to refund me my purchase. He didn't know how to operate their registers and had to be walked/talked through the processing the cashier. A younger me would have dressed the man down for sassing me and being indolent. As long as that man is an employee of Tractor Supply I will no longer be a customer of theirs. read more

As far as general supplies, I haven't had a problem finding what I've needed or with what I've needed being in stock. The main problem I have had on MANY visits is someone being there to fill propane tanks. And I learned early on that I needed to call in advance to make sure someone would be there. But even after calling in advance, there were times when no one was there. Apparently only two people are certified to fill propane and one of them is a guy that frequently works the overnight shift. Not sure how that helps the customers since they aren't open overnight. My advice, secure better employees and get more people certified to deal with propane. I love getting my propane from Tractor Supply because they are the only location that charges by the gallon (which ends up being about $9-10 to fill an empty tank instead of $22-24 at Lowe's or Home Depot) but you need to have people on duty at all times, not just some of the time. If customers can't get there until after a normal work day to get propane but your one guy only works until 4, that does us no good. Fix this big problem and I'll gladly change my review to 5 stars. read more

A woman named Chelsea identified herself as the manager (which is not true) and although everyone us in camera she accused me of "switching" which is not true. She yelled at me and she asked other customers to yell at me. I simply wanted a sale price which was posted to be honored. She screamed and asked customers to call the cops. When the cop arrived he caught her telling lies about a number of things. I have tried to call Tractor Supply Headquarters but some of their numbers dont work and others dont take messages. I have spoken to the real manager of the local store and he is aware of this problem. Please dont shop here if you expect to be treated like a human being. read more

I am so disappointed to see that my go-to TSC has such a low Yelp rating. With that being said, I go here 3 times a month and spend nearly 500-600 in horse feed and supplements and dog and cat food. They are so extremely helpful and no matter what time it is, even when its minutes to their closing time they are beyond happy to help me load my car and/or check the back for additional bags of beet pulp, or whatever my strange request of the week may be. Its never difficult for me to find assistance if I need it and they are just as friendly as can be. Additionally they are knowledgeable about all animals and have sane and sound advice for all classes of horses, dogs and cats. They deserve their 5-stars and I have visited TSC in many, many states and cities. I love my Bastrop folks!!! Thanks ya'll!! You win in my book! read more

They offer services for propane and most of the time you can't get any because apparently they dont have anyone to do it because so far their excuses have been ( I'm the only one here and cant leave the register, the other person didnt show up, nobody working is certified) WHAT A JOKE!!! I would pick zero stars if it was an option. They need to just change their sign out front to maybe Garden Ridge. The floor is taken up with too much shit from China to put in your yard and on the porch. You go back to farm and ranch supplies and all the shelves are empty. Take for instance this time of year being parasite season for livestock. They have nothing to help you with and of those problems. They always tell me there shipment is on the way.... really that's funny your candy and toy truck always keeps the shelves stocked. I have looked at their big selection of implement parts wow none of those parts fit anything people own... I guess that's why they are still on the shelf. Store is in a good location but their business model sucks and customer service is even worse. I stopped there a while back and picked up a roll of fence. Went to check out and the lady asked what the fence was for. I said we have sheep.... she said oh those are goats right..
