Everything should be easy Peezy WRONG! After cleaning up my dog's accident I spoke to the cashier about exchanging my dead fish. She said she needed the water from my tank and I was confused? I have the fish and receipt what does the water come into play. All my other fish are alive and thriving as they should it's been 2 days. She told me that's was policy and it just was confusing I can see if it was a week but no 2 days is ridiculous. I called customer service they were no help but again it states "In a properly established habitat, Petco guarantees freshwater aquatic life for 30 days from the date of purchase. A receipt is required, and a water sample is recommended for all refunds or exchanges. Ask a store partner for details. There is no guarantee for saltwater aquatic life, which have unique requirements and are very delicate. If you experience a loss of your marine fish, freshwater fish, invertebrates, or live plants that was purchased online at petco.com within 7 days of delivery please contact Customer Service at 1-877-738-6742 Recommended vs Required ...

My boss thought she knew better than Petco and the vendor so to get around the black out, she sold the ferret as a cockateil so she wouldn't get caught. If you have bought a ferret in the last 30 days, it may have distemper and has not had its rabies shots either. And if the fish lights are off, and the aquatics specialist is not there, THEY ARE LYING TO TO YOU. They just don't want to help you. Call corporate. Photos are not in order but are as follows ( things have been removed if they have an innocent person's name mentioned. 1) day one and two of crickets not being cleaned. crickets let off a gas that kills other crickets so if you wonder why half are dead before you get home, thats why. 2) animals with no food or water 3) Hamsters stress and die very easily. Petco recommends they be place in our wellness room and given electrolytes and probiotic for 48 before being placed on the floor. They do not do this which results in hamsters getting wet tail and dying within a week. 4) strange liquid on the floor after my day off 5) rat droppings and eating bags . It took 3 months to get it under control and i was told to tape bags that were eaten and to clean cat furniture they were nesting in. I refused. 6) six baby chameleons improperly housed all died 7) visible rat snap traps and Are reachable by customers and children. These have since been removed after I complained to the DM 9) failure to thrive bearded dragon left to die rather than put down. it suffered for weeks before it starved to death. 10) employee hold till payday area. Things on sale that you could buy that they hold back for weeks until they can afford it or the price goes down. 12) third day of spider molt and a filthy reptile cart 13) three day old dishes in Wellness number 14 ) Mahesh my district manager being made aware animals were not being fed 15 ) boss never called to get alarm codes for herself or others so she just had everyone use mine for 5 months 16) had a man ( no names but i hope he sees this, i will be a witness for you of you decide to report it to TWC) working for us for over a month without being hired, supposed to be being paid under table but she didn't even pay him so he hasn't worked at the store in 6 months but she won't fire him because she's afraid she'll be reported ( You know who you are, they are working out a way to fire you and not get a fine) 18) times my boss left early without asking leaving us short handed on important days like vetco. 19) pallets not placed 3 ft away from electrical equipment. Fire marshall would have a field day

At checkout, I was informed that purchases of this size do not qualify for a veteran discount, which was unexpected and not clearly communicated beforehand. The store environment is clean, organized, and very nice visually, making it a pleasant place to browse. However, the pricing on many essential items--particularly beginner supplies and fish--seems noticeably higher compared to other local options. For someone just starting out, the cost can add up quickly without clear value advantages. It would be helpful if the store provided more transparency around discount policies and offered better pricing or starter bundles for beginners. While the shopping experience itself is positive, the overall value for the price paid may not meet expectations for budget-conscious customers.

I fee like the name doesn't do this place justice because you think "supermarket" and think Walmart…read moreor something like that. It's definitely a huge store, but much homier than some of your traditional pet stores. I used to shop at Petsmart because they offered a coupon book of freebies when I first adopted my cat. I didn't even know places like Pet Supermarket existed! They are always running promotions on different items throughout the store and even sent some of the neighborhood customers $5 off coupons (no minimum purchase) to use for June through August. I popped in to buy my kitty some more food and saw that the usual brand I get was $3 off, so that combined with my $5 coupon was a great deal. I was scambling to tear off June's coupon, but the cashier chuckled and said I could keep it because they were meant to be reused. My cat has to eat the "fancy" stuff because she's allergic to basically everything, but they stock every single brand you could think of. And it's not just the expensive brands that have the deals. The last time I went, the Purina Tidy Cats litter was $1 off and offered a free bag of treats! My absolute favorite part about this store is that there are adoptable kittens that the employees encourage you to play with. You're welcome to pop open the latch and cuddle the kitties for as long as you'd like. They're from Houston Pets Alive, which is a no-kill shelter and adoption fees are only $50. The cats are positioned right next to the adoptable birds, rabbits, and hamsters, so there's plenty to keep them interested until you come visit!

It was for a local dog shelter in need. I bought out their supply of this particular food - 3 bags plus a neighbor's bag of another type of dog food. The employee who assisted me to select the dog food then walked me to the checkout counter. After paying, the checkout person then assisted me to my car using a dolly (it was over 100 lbs of dog food). Above and beyond - He offered - I didn't ask for the assistance. Both employees were very helpful. A photo of the dog food delivered to the shelter - not necessarily relevant, but just to let the reader know that I did deliver the contribution.
