The guys here are nice. We got a betta fish here and a small tank too. I will say the price is fair. It's clean and has variety of both salt water and fresh water fish. Had a good experience there and a nice talk with the owners. Come check it out, kids loves to see fishes and we only went because my daughter loves pet store and I wish we had more around Pearland that's family owned. I bought 2 fish and 3 crabs for a total of $95. 1 fish died after 2 days, the other fish with the crabs are alive. I bought around 6 fish back in July 2019 from there and they are still alive. They would not refund me or give me a replacement. They said they don't carry no warranty on fish anymore. They should have told me that before I bought the fish. They told me I should get a professional to take care of my tank, that is why the fish died. Then they said they have a 1-day return, then they said they had a 2-day return. They are claiming we return to many fish. We have returned 1 fish. You can make up your mind on if you want buy fish there. I don't think my tank looks bad. read more

I usually get my fish tank products and fish at Petco... I've been in Pearland for 8 years. I fell upon the Fishbowl and More Store driving around and stopped in... It was so nice having someone that knew about fish tanks and fish! At the chain stores it seems like it's young workers that are not properly trained with all the questions... it's very hard to keep up with cleaning my fish tank with our crazy schedule! The owner recommended a pump for me that I purchased and also mentioned they had guys that would come out monthly to clean your tank... I thought it would be expensive but it is very reasonable and last week they came out.... I was more than satisfied! They went above and beyond and did an amazing job! I like to try to use local, family owned businesses when possible. I was new to saltwater tank when I first went to this store. I've spent at least $2,000 there over the past 6 months. Carlos was friendly and I told him I was new to saltwater tanks and do not assume I know anything. He seemed willing to help me learn but in the end, I noticed he would only tell me part of the story so do not depend on him to teach you anything, my mistake. I tried several times to get them to come clean my tank but they continued to put me off so I stopped asking. I purchased several corals there but the last one I bought I asked about it's health because the way it looked. He assured me the coral was fine but had been handled or something that caused it to look like it did and that it would come back out. After at least a month, I am still nursing it back to health. Their inventory is very small and could not seem to get anything I requested. They celebrated their second year several weeks ago and against my instincts, I purchased a used tank from Carlos. He said the people traded it in and he took it down and assured me it was in good shape. The tank's plumbing started leaking a little at first then within 4 days of my purchase, it was flooding the floor. I found a piece that had been superglued so I assume the previous owners did not tell him it leaked. He said he would get me the parts I needed to repair it. Called him a week later, he sent email to his supplier and was told the parts was on the way and should have it by the end of the week. That was 4 weeks ago now and still no word as of last Friday, 10/26. I contacted the manufacturer and I got the parts I needed within 4 business days. I will tell you there are other places that provide much better service and a much bigger inventory. Fish Bowl and More has very little to choose from and with the treatment I received there for several months, I will not cross their threshold again. read more

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING...The store and livestock look quite nice. Even the owners are nice and seem extremely knowledgeable..BUT....My husband and I treated ourselves last Christmas (2017) to the new Water Box. We shopped around and found the Fish Bowl online...only a little over 30 minutes from our house. So we made the trip to see what they had. Store reminded me of The Fish Gallery in Houston and even made the statement to owners. They had the Water Box on a Black Friday special, so we bought it....along with all new everything except for fish or corals. Had it delivered and they took our old tank. Followed their directions for setting it up with very little problems. Over time got all of our own corals and fish (which I had for 3yrs to 20yrs) back into the tank. All was fine until I went back and bought a torch coral. That is when all hell broke loose. ICH...yep ICH...I have never had it in my tank and 3 days after putting the coral in my tank, I had ICH. Of course I went back to the Fish Bowl to verify what I already knew and was told my fish must have gotten to stressed. After crying and crying because I knew this was a death sentence to the fish I had owned for years, I let them know what I knew. The ICH came from the coral I had bought. They of course denied it and of course I lost ALL of my fish. They weren't the cheap damsels but instead very nice ... I mean very nice....tang (yellow, brown, blue, sailfin, scopas,) coral beauty, assorted gobies & blennies and the MAN of the tank, my pride and joy a Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish. Of course this did not affect any of my none fish animals (shrimp, starfish, snails, crabs). I tried a hospital tank but as we all know it is a total waste of time but tried anyway...saltwater ICH is a death sentence---period. When I questioned them about catching it from them, I was assured it came from own fish...bull&%$. So after treating and watching my fish die one after the other, I now had a very expensive tank with coral and inverts for months...6+ to be exact. I waited until the summer before I tried fish again. I had my hospital tank with perfect water (my water is always perfect) and went back to the Fish Bowl and tried again....bought a yellow tang, a coral banded and a Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish. Guess what, the Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish had ICH within 3 days...yep ICH...within the week the yellow tang was sick as was the coral banded but no ICH signs. Took them back to the Fish Bowl and they were baffled. My water was perfect and the fish had no signs of ICH but they were most certainly dieing. They offered to keep them and nurse them because I was leaving to go out of town and both died by the end of the week...no ich signs. My husband called me and the butterfly fish died a week later....not surprised. Did they offer anything...and apology...money for all the fish I had lost or even for the 3 fish I just bought to prove to myself the ICH was from there (which it was) or maybe just maybe it was my fish...nope not my fish. So I have learned a very expensive lesson and usually don't write bad reviews but I don't want someone else experiencing the costly lesson I learned.... if you have never had ICH...ever in all the 20yrs I had owned saltwater fish and suddenly it appears after buying one item from the Fish Bowl...you wait 6 months and buy 3 fish from the same store and you have ICH again....what conclusion would you come to??? The same as me...don't buy livestock from the Fish Bowl. So I will only by fish from saltwaterfish.com and have them delivered directly to my house....I have never had ICH until I brought coral and fish from the Fish Bowl. Melody T. read more

Not very friendly service,I had them performing maintenance on my reef tank and little by little they neglected it by cutting corners on the maintenance end. They lost their customer cleaning schedule several times and left me sitting in my living room waiting on them to show up when I could have been at work. needless to say i waisted half of a day waiting on them to not show up . i started doing my own maintenance after that but gave them several 2 nd chances .i purchased salt water from them for awhile which soon ended when I started noticing sand or some type of substrate sitting on the bottom of my water jugs. As far as health of their display tanks I was not impressed . If you look at their tanks you will see alot of nuisance algae especially green bubble. I observed some dead fish in their tanks and have not had good luck with the ones I've purchased from them . Carlos is a very nice guy and is fair ,on the other end the guy that works the register most of the time is an idiot ( I think he is Carlos brother in law). read more

Recently visited because I heard it was the new "it" store when it comes to fish and aquariums. The customer service was phenomenal!!! The store is big and the coral selection is second to none.
