My older dog is super sick, probably crossing the rainbow bridge to heaven soon.... My bigger yung dog is depressed and not eating either. I was worried something was up with the food. I came in and she gave me loads of samples to try and get both my dogs eating again. She gave him a big treat on the house and was so supportive! I know we have lots of options in the valley. It's not all books though, there's stuff for kids too, like activities and games. Gifts like locally made skincare products and some interesting homegoods, and lots of shirts. They have pretty much all your needs when it comes to taking care of your animal and livestock feed. We have alpacas, a goat and a sheep. Hay is priced reasonably. I have 6 dogs plus the occasional fosters so it's great to be able to bring them here for $9.99 each. I appreciate that they offer shampoo, conditioner, brushes, and towels. My only issue is the dryers. For about a year, one didn't work at all and the other only has really cold air. It's a hit or miss on if they have nail trimmers. Maybe I've gotten lucky, but I haven't encountered other folks taking a really long time like other reviews are saying. I don't believe a time limit is necessary. Some pups are easier than others. For example, my Husky is gonna take a lot longer to dry than my MinPin. I think folks are just unreasonable and impatient. I've had 8 folks ahead of me and still been able to wash my dogs within an hour which I think is reasonable. The staff has always been incredibly friendly, especially with my reactive foster dog. My husband was walking with our dog through the store and an employee who also trains dogs approached us with tips. Super helpful and made us feel better. The pup is reactive and the only way he'll learn is by going out into the world to be desensitized. We've encountered some horribly folks at other stores, but here, everyone was caring and helpful. No judgement!

Leaving Palm Springs, I wanted to check out a new restaurant in Morongo Valley. Needing some…read moretimothy hay pellets for my five rescue bunnies at home (and knowing that my usual LA feed shop would be closed when I arrived), I made a stop into this feed shop, which literally just opened up. While still in the process of getting the store fully stocked, I found just what I needed and the 50# bag of feed was priced really well! They will be selling curated vintage items and arts and craft items in the living room, the back rooms will have new and "gently used" tack. Soon they will have hay, which I also buy in flakes or sometimes a full bale. I met both co-owners who are helpful and friendly... and a gorgeous long-haired shepherd, who cI believe was working the register (see photo!). I was invited back to their grand opening celebration in early April. When in Morongo Valley, I'll definitely be back to load up on pellets and hay. Wishing this new business well!

The owner is always present, inviting, and knowledgeable. I remember bring my Lola in for the first time and the owner instantly told me what breed she was just by looking at her, gave her treats, and a back rub. I currently live in Morro Bay, CA, which is approximately two hours north of Santa Barbara and five hours north of Big Bear and I drive down twice a month for Lolas Dried Chicken Necks and Turkey Neck. Yes, I drive 5 hours one way just for these treats. The owner offered to ship them to me however I love coming in and visiting. There's a certain level of human interaction you miss out on by not visiting in person. Olivers is located in the scenic village surrounded by mountains and the lake. Oliver's is fully stocked with treats, well being products, and toys to keep your poochie baby happy. Oliver's also has another addition by the name of Mackswel. He's always friendly, smiling, and were both from Brazil which is cool. I really love this place and encourage everyone who cares about their poochie babies to stop in. I guarantee you'll keep coming back!
