I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your store. On 03/03/2026 I came in to purchase alfalfa hay and asked a young male clerk if it was in stock. During our interaction, he repeatedly yawned and shrugged his shoulders while speaking with me. His demeanor made it very clear that he was annoyed and inconvenienced by having to assist me. He then had to call another associate to ask whether alfalfa hay was available and when the next shipment would arrive. The second associate, a blonde female employee, advised me to speak with a manager. I left the store feeling very unhappy and dissatisfied with the level of customer service I received. Later, I called the store and spoke with Kayla Henderson. She stated that the employee was new and that I needed to have patience. While I understand that new employees require training, yawning repeatedly in front of customers and shrugging as if assisting them is a burden is not acceptable customer service behavior. I also informed her that when I previously brought a concern to her attention last year, I felt dismissed at that time as well. During this recent call, she responded with "whatever" and hung up on me. Being hung up on while attempting to address a legitimate customer service concern is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I am not writing this letter to cause trouble, but rather because I believe customers should be treated respectfully and professionally. Ive always loved Tractor Supply since I first heard of them in Texas. Perfect store to get feed for horses,cows,chickens,dogs etc. I mainly like to get my dogs food from tractor supply. This particular store was on my way to LV from SF. Location was just off the highway. Easy exit. Easy entry. The associates here were really friendly and helpful. I ordered a pellet stove and was told I had to pay for the shipping after the fact that it showed it was in my local store in Tehachapi Ca. I paid almost $200 dollars for a 3 day delivery.. it's been a month already and it just got here. Tractor Supply send me a review and when I filled it out they took 2 weeks to tell me they can't put that in their reviews SOOOOOOO!! Here it is. I gave them a 1 star rating, and a NEGATIVE -5 for lying to me on the website saying the product was "IN STORE" and could be picked up... i then gave them another -5 for not letting me post on their own company reviews even though they SURE TOOK MY $$$ IMMEDIATELY!!.. Their online inventory is accurate, they are SUPER FAST at assembling and readying online orders. They have a great selection of horse products at competitive prices. I've been coming here for over 3 years and the employees have been universally friendly and helpful. 3 years into the pandemic, I still wear a mask if indoors for any length of time, and I appreciate that I've never felt judgment from staff and some of them have worn masks recently too. Believe it or not... They did not have what my husband needed for the tractor. The store is amazing and full of all sorts of goods. Clothes. Boots. Tractor stuff. After my recent visit to TSC in Bakersfield I've had my eye on some nice winter coats from their website. I do a lot of outdoor activities throughout the year, and often in terrible weather, so I wasn't looking for a fashion statement. Sturdy, comfy, and warm; those were what I needed in a good coat. Kevin P and I were on our way to the desert for some rockhounding. We stopped in early Saturday morning and looked around. Their clothing selection was much smaller than the Bakersfield store, but they still had exactly what I was looking for: a coat! There to the right of the entrance was the winter clothing section. Anything you could possibly need to stay warm in the chilly mountain weather. Here I found my bright pink RealTree jacket. One of the warmest, comfiest jackets I've owned. It's not exactly subtle, and you won't find me rocking this on date night but it is exactly what you need when battling the snow, ice, and freezing winds. Tractor Supply also has an interesting assortment of Christmas gifts. Tons of tractor toys for the youngin's. PLUS! Country Chic Christmas decor. Even wrapping paper with barbed wire, cowboy boots and more. How about that! read more
