Jacob is clearly comfortable and experienced with anxious dogs. Both guys showed us where to find towels, and scrubby brushes, they stepped in and helped us when needed yet also gave us space when they saw we were comfortable. This place has towels, leashes and collars and even smelly sprays at the end like a car wash! Overall it was such a great experience in customer service, and an amazing experience for our anxious 75 lb Bull dog. It was great exposure for him with new sounds and new people. The day I was supposed to be released, I was very ill. We emailed Petworks to ask if the dogs could stay a little longer; they could. That happened again, and again. Every time, Steve and Cheryl told us to focus on my healing and not worry about the dogs. It was a month before I was out of danger and well enough for my husband to not be with me 24/7. That entire month, Cheryl and Steve and their team took care of our dogs (10, 13, and 14 years) who'd never been boarded and must have been confused. It was an incredible gift to know our dogs were safe and well cared for. We're forever grateful and wholeheartedly recommend Petworks.

However, when my husband and I changed jobs, we need a place with longer hours to accommodate our commute. We brought him to Petworks and it's the greatest. You can tell that everyone here is incredibly passionate about the animals who come here. The owner, Stephen, is an amazing guy. Actually everyone there is pretty amazing. We were "those customers"--our dog as our little fur baby, so we're needy and worrisome and the type of customer most would rolls their eyes at. We never felt as though they were burdened. Quite the opposite, they cared for my dog the way I personally would, and for that I owe them the world. It's great to have that peace of mind. Additionally, my dog is an Australian Shepherd, so he's incredibly energetic and quite difficult to tire out. Every day he'd come home happily pooped, and every morning he'd pull his way in to see all of his daycare friends. Our dog was also groomed here on several occasions, and he's challenging to wash and cut (he isn't a fan of baths and he is a giant fluff ball with a lot of fur), and they did an amazing job. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough, and for me that's rare. There is 1 review on here from years ago claiming her dog caught kennel cough, but Petworks requires you have your dog immunized for kennel cough, so I would take that with a grain of salt. To everyone at Petworks, thank you for the 200+ times you took care of my Yawkey (yes, I sat down and actually did the math). Anyone who's lucky enough to live within close proximity to Petworks, bring your dog here! You won't regret it.

Instead, the groomer completely shaved him without calling us or asking for permission. Anyone experienced with this breed should know that Collies should never be shaved. Their double coat is essential for protection against weather, brush, and sun exposure. It also helps regulate their temperature year-round. Our dog is an outdoor farm dog, and his coat plays a critical role in his daily life. Since bringing him home, his behavior has completely changed. He is now reluctant to go outside in the rain and cold, which is very unlike him. Previously, we could barely get him to come inside. We are now deeply concerned about his comfort, sun exposure, and risk of overheating as the weather gets warmer. We took him to the veterinarian following this incident, and they were shocked. They explained that shaving a Collie can cause long-term coat damage, as the undercoat often grows back faster than the outer coat, resulting in uneven, patchy regrowth that may never fully recover. Unfortunately, we've experienced this before with another Collie due to an inexperienced groomer, which makes this situation even more upsetting. When we contacted the owner to express our concerns, the response was incredibly disappointing. There was no empathy or accountability. She stated she expected our call, laughed at our concerns, and even claimed she knew more than our veterinarian. We are devastated by this experience and would strongly caution others especially owners of double-coated breeds to be very clear about expectations and to choose a groomer with proven breed-specific knowledge.

They didn't have her in a collar on a leash on the table so she was able to jump down and hide inside the wall of the van. A professional groomer would never allow that to happen. The owner was rude and blamed my cat telling me it should medicated. My cat has never been aggressive with other groomers. DO NOT USE THIS CLOWN SHOW! FYI- neither employee could communicate. One was deaf and the other spoke no English. At least send one employee who can communicate with your customers.
