After turning 50, going through 30 + years of the hairdresser carousel, menopause and an enormous amount of stress, my beautiful long blond hair was slowly starting to turn to straw and it was getting shorter and shorter. Short hair was just not a great look for me. I began to think about extensions and came across several reviews of Hair Addict on local Facebook and Instagram reviews. I also stalked their IG page and noticed some beautiful work she had done for charity to a woman that lost her hair due to brain cancer. It was incredible and I had to check this salon out. In November of 2021, I walked into Hair Addict, without an appointment, to check them out. I was greeted by her amazing staff who introduced me to Angela, the owner. I was so depressed and I think Angela really felt for me! I hated my hair and always wore a hat to cover it. Angela immediately made time for me to evaluate my hair and discuss the process of extensions. I then discussed the cost of services and ordered my new hair. A week later, I was transformed! I felt beautiful and more like myself again! I cried and then Angela gave me a hug and we cried together! In those moments in life, all the sacrifices you make come full circle. I know it is just hair but it was really important to me and my confidence was boosted. Angela and her staff do impeccable work. Angela is a master in her craft and is constantly educating herself and her team in her field of expertise. If you get to know her well enough, you will know her backstory, her struggle and see why she loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into her work. I will NEVER again go to another salon. The Front Desk staff is great about communicating pricing and appropriate tips which has always been awkward for me in the past. Due to their success and growing clientele, they moved over a year ago to an expanded space and it is beautiful and welcoming. Quality extensions and professional hair Services in general are not cheap.You get what you pay for, especially in this business. I found this salon through social media and was immediately impressed by the work they shared so I contacted a stylist about booking an appointment and was told to come in for a consultation. I came in for my consultation to speak about what color I was interested in doing and the possibility of some extensions. After showing the stylist the color I wanted (i'll include the picture) I was quoted $370 for cut and color alone, at that point I made a quick decision and said F it i deserve this and booked the appointment. 2 days later after a full 8 hour shift, an hour and a half drive to the salon, and 4 hours in the chair I was BEYOND disappointed with the way it came out. Don't get me wrong the salon itself and the energy and the people working there are great but I am not the type of person to sit there and complain about the 4 hours of work someone had just done and was seemingly so proud of (as i believe most people can agree they would also bite their tongue in a situation like this) I would have said something had I known sooner than after the blowout, but when I'm sitting in a salon chair with no mirror in front of me for hours while 2 rounds of bleach are going on my head and I had no idea what it looked like the whole process what else am I meant to do but trust the stylist. So it wasn't until AFTER the blowout that I realized this was NOT AT ALL the color I had asked for. But I put a smile on my face and walked out the door after paying $370, went home and just cried over what I had just spent over half my paycheck on and now have to pay a different salon to fix because I refuse to go back to this place because I simply don't trust them..

I asked how much a single process color service was and I was quoted a price for 70 dollars. When I went to pay they told me my price went up to 155 dollars for my color treatment. They said because they had to use 2 bowls of dye(one bowl would have sufficed, especially between the little gray coverage needed and the amount of product that needed to be removed from my forehead and robe) The 155 dollar price was also after cutting my hair from my mid back to just below my chin PRIOR to the color treatment. I have had my hair colored at another salon in the area when I had much longer hair and the price was always the same regardless of how much product the stylist used. I paid the full price for the services because that is the right thing to do but I will never go back and neither should you.
