I've come here a few different occasions, and one of the times, I did have to wait super long on a walk in, but I realize that was out of their control. Today, I called to see if they had any openings and they had a 5:15. I rushed over there and explained that if they can, try to get me out by 6pm because my son had a soccer game. Ofelia in the front desk was so nice and got me in quickly. Liz was my nurse, and she was friendly, quick, and helpful! They got me in and out and was so gracious. I stepped on a screw and needed a tetanus shot and decided to come here. They were so nice and friendly at the front desk and helped me get through everything as a first time patient. But the entire reason i wanted to write this review was because of Bianca!! I am so scared of needles and shots and she couldn't have done a better job. Just getting into the clinic and the older front desk lady barley greets us and doesn't seem to have any urgency . I already don't like the service just based off the attitude . I took my 4 year old for the first time because his fever was not going down and he was coughing. His regular pediatrician unfortunately passed away and we were appointed to another Dr. In town, it was worst experience with her, she wouldnot see my son nor prescribe antibiotics, so I brought him to Dr. Kanwar Grewal. Who was very understanding and caring, right away he told me that my has pneumonia and gave him the medicine and X-ray orders. His staff was very very kind and friendly, we were treated with care and patience I am so glad he was there to help and take care of my baby. Honestly he was god sent in my eyes, because as a mother it's so hard to see your child in that stage. I came in for a PPD (TB) test and physical for a new job after work at 7:15pm (they close at 7:30pm). Even though it was almost closing I was greeted by 2 lovely big smiles at the front desk. I am going through insurance and name changes due to just getting married so my insurance card was giving them trouble. They were so patient and nice. I got in right away and Doctor Grewal was in the room within 5 minutes. He was quick and knowledgeable. The nurse who administered my TB shot was gentle and quick too! I will be coming back if I can't get into my regular doctor again. read more

I used Tracy Urgent Care for the first time on Sept 26, and it definitely won't be the last. It started with how easy it was to get an appointment. they stay open late, which is nice for working people. their office staff are friendly and courteous. The medical staff were very professional, but personable. they made me feel welcome and confident that I was getting quality service. I came here on numerous occasions for a worker's comp injury & I felt Dr. Grewal genuinely cared for my wellbeing & ensured that I recovered efficiently. He is also very accommodating & understanding as he was able to squeeze me in before his lunch even after it being my fault & being extremely late for one of my appointments. Had to get a TB test for work and this was my third stop wish it had been my first. The place on central apparently does not take private insurance. Then Sutter was trying to give me some line of crap that I can't do a walk in and I need to call my primary physician. Was done with her ignorance and tried Tracy Urgent Care (have had good experiences here already so should of started here). The two ladies working the front desk Ofelia and Liz were so helpful and courteous. I got into a really bad car accident and came here after because of back pain. I waited almost three hours to be seen then to be judged for my age by the doctor he tried to prescribe me muscle relaxers when I am in pain and nothing for pain I am having a hard time walking because of the pain in my back and this is how I was treated. ZERO STARS!!! I have visited Tracy Urgent Care on several occasions for different reasons. This particular story begins exactly 1 week ago, Thursday May 18, 2017 due to a productive cough that I had had for several days. I was prescribed Phenergan with Codeine, antibiotics, Diagnosed with an Upper Respiratory Infection with Bronchitis & sent on my way by Dr. Grewal. The next day I started getting a headache in addition to the severe cough & called to ask if there was anything in addition that I could get prescribed to help with the cough because I was miserable (a friend of mine had been prescribed albuterol for a similar prognosis). I spoke to the front desk (not sure which staff member possibly Jessica Sopa) and she told me I had to wait a few days to see if I got better. I asked specifically if the Dr. could prescribe something like an inhaler & asked when he would get back to me. They had NO answer. Basically the Dr. may or may not get back to you. The doctor, Dr. Grewal NEVER got back to me. By Saturday, I still hadn't heard back from the doctor. At this time I had an earache, a headache, shortness of breath and felt worse overall. My husband talked me into going back to Tracy Urgent Care. We saw Dr. Grewal again & I asked if he could prescribe me an inhaler to help with my breathing, he quickly wrote the prescription, my husband wanted to get me a prescription for my headache & the Dr. quickly suggested NORCO & I refused at that time because I didn't feel I needed that. He also gave me labs to do on Monday if I hadn't improved. On Monday, I didn't have the headache or earache but still had the lingering productive cough. I had other labwork to do so I did get the bloodwork done (which I haven't heard back from Dr. Grewal about). Finally last night May 24, I requested via CVS.com to refill the codeine with promethezine syrup because I still have the lingering cough (which is common with my diagnosis of upper respiratory infection and Bronchitis). Today, I checked with CVS as to why my prescription wasn't ready. They said the Dr hadn't responded, at all & that they would re-fax the prescription. I asked them when the original request had been sent over & they said May 24 at 8:41pm. There would be no reason for them to not have the prescription ready except for the Dr. chose to ignore the request. I called the Tracy Urgent Care office as soon as I got back to Tracy from jury duty (where a terrible cough is a horrible distraction especially when they won't excuse you). I spoke to Jessica Sopa @ the front desk & she first told me that the pharmacy CVS is not allowed to refill this medication via fax. She then told me that I would have to come in to be seen to get a prescription. They will not give you a prescription without being seen. I do understand this but I had already been seen twice within a 1 week period actually a 3 day period! I have already paid 2 copays and made 2 drives there. Jessica Sopa proceeded to tell me I should have asked for a refill when I was there last on Saturday. This was ridiculous because I wasn't out of medication on Saturday I had just gotten the prescription filled on Thursday when I first visited Tracy Urgent Care & saw Dr. Grewal! I didn't know I'd still be hacking up green and yellow mucus today. I wish Jessica didn't lie to me and say CVS isn't allowed. If she said, "it's our policy that you must be seen for any prescription". I would have been fine with that, but she LIED. Anyway, after speaking to Jessica Sopa, I spoke to the pharmacist at CVS who informed me that the prescription promethezine with codeine CAN be refilled via fax. It is up to the discretion of the Dr which does make sense, BUT, I am just really frustrated & think Tracy Urgent Care doesn't care about their patients, they care about $$$$$. They saw me 5 days ago & won't refill my prescription or return my calls. They are in a convenient area but I'd rather drive to Livermore for better service and responsiveness from an Urgent Care Facility. read more

Do yourself a favor and go in the evening when they rotate staff. The front desk gals in the morning make are a nightmare to deal with. They are unprofessional and extremely rude! Luckily, I was scheduled to come back in the evening and saw a noticeably different reception. This was my first time ever visiting Tracy Urgent Care. The reason for my visit was suspected sinus infection and bronchitis, and no time to schedule an appointment with my primary provider. The parking lot was completely full so I was a bit worried. From start to finish, this office was efficient and professional. I was courteous to the front desk girl and she was courteous and helpful in return. I waited a reasonable amount of time. There were no issues with my insurance. (I keep it up to date and have educated myself on my policy in order to know what to expect.) The lobby and exam room were both clean. The MA girl was charming and did a fine job with vitals and history, and Dr. Grewal promptly attended to what I needed, no nonsense. I share the sentiment in the previous review by Rachel P, and think that Yelp seems to produce too many unreliable reviews and as such, I tend to only use it to find businesses and hours/addresses etc. Unfortunately, it seems that many (certainly not all) folks: a. can't properly advocate/communicate for themselves b. have unrealistic expectations from health care c. expect benefits from a system that are disproportionate to the contribution they have made to it d. think they are more knowledgeable than those treating them and consequently far more bad experiences make it to review sites than good ones. I wanted to take the time to leave one of the good ones. Disclaimer: I am a medical professional at a hospital within a major health network, and would say I have a significant amount of knowledge regarding the expectations of healthcare service. This is the second time coming here after a while because my last visit wasn't pleasant. I just decided to try it out again. The front desk was pretty helpful and nice, although one nurse was not approachable. She seemed annoyed and like she didn't want to be there while she was helping me. The doctor came in rushed and asked me questions and pretty much ignored what I was trying to say and came to a conclusion really fast. (He was in the room for 2 minutes) I felt rushed and like I wasn't being heard. I'm prettysure his diagnose is not what I have. FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE SAY THAT THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS NOT AN URGENT CARE CENTER. Don't be fooled by the name, you will not get seen here immediately. I came in today (5-20-14), because I was advised by an advice nurse through the VA as I am a veteran, that I needed to see a doctor immediately because of the symptoms I was having. The advise nurse said I need to go an urgent care in my area so naturally we looked up "urgent care" in Tracy and this place popped up. My wife and I came in and I mentioned my symptoms to the front desk people. I signed and filled out whatever paperwork they had and we had some questions as to what the difference was coming here to "urgent care" as opposed to going across the street to my primary care doctor at Sutter Gould. A clear answer wasn't given and I waited a few minutes, the front desk lady asked how I was doing and I told her I was doing fine - better than yesterday but I felt okay. I sat down and my wife told me I can just go and see Dr. Vakshouri, who is my PCM. The lady came back and mentioned the doctor won't be able to see you till after lunch at 2:30 pm. Then I said well what's the point? I might as well just go across the street and see my PCM. My wife was furious and started ripping them a new one mentioning that she has never been denied medical attention at an "urgent care". one of the nurses came out and explained that the medical office is not an " urgent care" emergency room type of clinic. It's just a private medical office with a clever name. As my medical issues were not of importance they mentioned I could be seen at 2:30 pm again and my wife proceeded to question them and give them a piece of her mind. So the nurse actually called us in and said the doctor will see us. I rationalized that it would be better if I just waited and went to my PCM since this office isn't really an urgent care. Overall, I can't say whether or not the service here was great or horrible. I wasn't even seen by a nurse or the doctor, although I'm not sure the front desk lady has the right credentials or experience to triage me in the way she did. Whether she was the doctor or the nurse, upon hearing what my symptoms were she should of acted just like the advise nurse and made it sound important in regards to what it was affecting. Definitely won't be going back. REMEMBER!! IT IS NOT AN URGENT CARE FACILITY!! read more

Horrible receptionist!!! They are all very rude and it seems like they don't know how to do their job. Dr Grewal is amazing and the only reason I come back to a crappie establishment. The manager/ owner should really consider some customer service training. Their are plenty of companies that offer those services. I didn't come I today for an office visit, I actually came in to make a payment. The receptionist told me to write my name on a post it and would look it up after she took the post it from me. 45 min later I get up to ask if I can finally pay my bill and if she was able to look up my acct. She said I never gave her the post it, which I did, but she could still look up my acct. After a few seconds she found my account and I paid, and she then found the post it on her desk, how ridiculous. Horrible place with good Dr. Unfortunately. read more

This is a 2 part review. We went to the UCC yesterday after a fill in doctor at our pediatrician's office blew us off. First part...from office staff...I'd give them 1 star! First off, at 9 in the morning and people are sick, they do not need to hear your loud abrasive voice "talking" to the patients. I felt like I was being yelled at...but that's besides the point, that is just a preference. But second, I should NOT be able to hear your gossip about other employees that work there. And my 7 year old should not hear you cussing when you are gossiping about your co-workers. Second part, the doctor. We saw Dr. Ali and I was very happy we did. Like I said, we went to the UCC after a fill in Dr. at our pediatrician's office pretty much blew us off. Dr. Ali actually heard me and listened to what I was saying. Thanks to him, he ordered Xrays and we figured out that my daughter has pneumonia. (Something i mentioned to the other dr.) I called in one day and asked what hours they were open and they told me they closed for lunch at 1. I showed up at 12:30 (5 minutes after I called) and the lady at the front desk informed they aren't taking any more patients. Nice of you to tell me that when I talked to you 5 minutes ago! Then I had a really bad bladder infection. I have had them before so I know what it is when I get one. The nurse had me leave a urine sample. Then the Dr. comes in and lets me know that the urine didn't "look" like it was infected. "look" like? really? He didn't even test it! Then when I told him I know I have one, I have had several before. He said ok, I will give you some meds. That is not the way I have EVER had a dr. find out if it was truly an infection. The very last time I will ever go again was when my son was very sick. I called in for an appointment. 1 hour later they still hadn't seen me even though I had been scheduled. I called Sutter Gould while in the waiting room and they saw me 10 minutes later. This place is a JOKE! Don't waste your time/money. read more

Tracy Urgent Care is our preferred provider for sore ears, sore throats, and fevers. They see adults and children alike and their flexible hours have saved us on a holiday more than once. The wait can be long at times but never as long as Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. The visit is not free but it's never as expensive as ValleyCare Medical Hospital in Pleasanton. Never had an issue with waiting too long. Dr. Grewal is very professional, he gets through ordering & reviewing the age-appropriate tests, vaccinations, etc. in very reasonable time. Was visiting family for a couple days in Tracy when I had an allergy-asthma attack that my regular prescription meds were not helping. I looked up on my insurance web site to find a local Urgent Care and this was the closest one. I did a walk-in and when I got there, the doctor wasn't in and would be back in about an hour, he was on a patient call that was at the hospital. I wasn't gasping or coughing so could wait another hour and asked the receptionist if there was an appointment available in an hour, she said yes and put me in that time slot. She suggested that we should go ahead and fill in all the paper work now so that when I return we wouldn't have to take the time. I though that was a great idea. So when I returned a few minutes before the appointment, I didn't have to wait since paperwork was completed. I was taken in right one time, and only waited about 10 min for the doctor to see me in the exam room. Dr Grewal was very personable and listened to all my concerns and suggestions before deciding what I needed to alleviate the symptoms. I didn't feel like I was in a medical office factory where they schedule patients every 10 min or double book patients, so they physician rushes through the exam. I'd give them more Stars if it weren't for having to come back after an hour to be seen. Otherwise I thought everything was great. Side note: From my experience, most Urgent Cares have a long waiting period of 30 to 60 minutes, I've waited 90 min at one that also does work related drug testing, on average anyways. read more

Poor customer service. Be prepared to wait for hours if they're busy. I've been here 3 times and only seen a doctor once. It's usually a nurse practitioner or physicians assistant. If you have a severe health issue go to Sutter Medical Hospital which is about 3 miles. If you know what you need make sure you let the MD, CNP or PA know up front what you suspect you have, the different meds you've tried and what has proven to work. I say this for a reason. I sometimes get colds which sometimes turns into bronchitis. Over the past 4 decades, Iv'e been put on various meds but only a Z pack works. Most Dr's will not prescribe a Z pack until they've put you through Amoxicillin or something.. If Walmart or Walgreens is reading this, please consider having Urgent Card types of services at your 24 hour stores. It would be good for everyone. read more

I had COVID-19 test done there. It was excruciatingly painful (a 10/10 pain level) for close to a minute or so, and the swab came out bloody. I inquired that this test, even though the swab has to go "pretty far in", is not supposed to be super painful, have lingering discomfort (which I have still, 1 hr later), or come out with blood. I have no conditions that would explain the blood. read more
