This Trader Joe's location had become my go to spot for groceries. I'm here on a weekly basis getting cheese, nuts, ghee, tea, wine, and cauliflower rice. The employees are always very friendly and the parking is free. I would suggest you don't ho during prime shopping hours on the weekend bc thus little grocery can get slammed in a hurry. read more

I love everything about this place. My only complaint is that it's not close enough to my house. They have great staff working the samples and wine tasting, as well as the registers. Usually busy but moves quickly in the lines. Great prices and frozen dinners and things for parties. We get all of our snacks and wine from here. The parking garage is free but always packed, if you go to the above one near the Starbucks you can just go down the stairs. Also, my other suggestion is to avoid the 3 buck chuck and grab one of the $5 or $6 wine that is excellent. read more

If you like crowded aisles, a short supply of eggs, milk and bread, and long checkout lines, then you should come here on Sunday's in the afternoon. On the weekdays, this place is much better. With a great variety of wines. For most of their products, they offer the organic version. I love their sliced soft wheat organic bread. In the produce department, they offer different mixes of leafy greens, which I love. The parking garage could be a bit congested. As aforementioned, avoid coming here on the weekends unless it is super early or later at night. I love Trader Joes. Thank you for existing during my lifetime. read more

It is with such appreciation that I write this review! I have been shopping here for years and have always received excellent customer service. I had just purchased a load of veggies when I received a phone call that my grandmother wouldn't live much longer. To add, it was a week before Mother's Day. I made an emergency trip home to visit my grandmother (7 hours away) and she died 2 days after I returned home, so I had to make another trip back. Long story short, the manager Jeremy committed to replacing them and gave me beautiful flowers when I arrived to pick them up. I actually enjoy grocery shopping at Trader Joes- is that weird? They always have fresh produce and bread and coffee and food to taste. And where else can you get decent wine for less than $5? The staff members are so friendly also. I've asked them to check in the back when the shelves are empty and they always do so cheerfully- try that at Giant sometime. It's also cheaper than Giant/Safeway but they don't sell all of the staples. My only gripe is that the Old Town location seems to run out of food often, so I usually frequent the Falls Church location near my office. read more

This location was always a good 3 stars, with a decent selection, friendly staff, and convenient location, but they've recently remodeled and just about doubled the size of the store. They still don't carry absolutely everything you'd want (if you're a soda addict like me, the selection is a little sorry, but I've learned to love iced tea), and TJ's no longer carries King Arthur flour, but this location has greatly increased their fresh produce and wine sections. So it still has a decent selection, friendly staff, and convenient location, but now it just has more. read more

I love Trader Joes. The price is right, there's tons of organic and free samples that help you plan meals with their products. Additionally, it's a great place to buy real sourdough bread. This Trader Joe's gets really packed so we come here in the morning on weekdays otherwise, it's tough finding parking.we made a mistake of not getting our parking receipt validated and ended up paying. The stars off is for the meat as I have yet to have beef or pork that was good- they smelled bad. Also, I don't see a lot of workers like the ones from Annapolis so I feel like they're understaffed for three years now lol. I can never find help here even when it's slow in the store. read more

The employees are just above and beyond sweet. I had a really bad day and went shopping at TJ's. Checked out, looked for my keys and had a brief freak out when I couldn't find them. They let me go to a quiet corner to look through my bag and then an employee named Rob helped me retrace my steps. I left my keys in my car which was still running in the parking lot. Then I drove home, realized I forgot my groceries back in the store. Absolutely embarrassed, I went back in to get them and they were so nice and understanding and gave me a free bouquet of flowers because. Just because. I'm a huge Trader Joe's fan but I have to put only four stars due to the silly parking garage and tiny location. When they expand, I'll be more likely to face the crowds. I am a TJ's fan and am incredibly disappointed with this location. I went yesterday to buy the breaded chicken tenders. There were none but I was told they would be in today. I went back this afternoon and they were still out of them. Is there a distribution problem? Are the staff unaware of what is going on? I will never visit this location again or recommend it. I never would have wasted my time going back if the product wasn't going to be in. Beware of what the staff tell you and of the availability of products. read more

A huge plus: I've never had a problem finding a spot in the underground lot, which is a nice feeling compared to finding a spot at the Baileys Crossroads TJs -- that can feel like you're searching for the holy grail. The store is spacious, well-stocked (except Sunday morning/afternoon) and with friendly staff. The lines are never long, or as a long as the Foggy Bottom TJs. The wine and beer section is quite large and with wide variety. In short, shopping here makes me happy and complete. read more

Finally, TJ's has expanded! Rejoice! The old dinky produce section and wine sections has moved to a whole new section where Blockbuster used to be. Thank goodness they knocked down that wall and made TJ's bigger. They're currently still expanding and moving things around, but man, am I glad. It seems to be less crowded (I went on a Saturday around 5pm) due to the open space! Now we can all walk around and love TJ's together without bumping into one another! Can't wait to see what else they do to the store! My latest discovery at TJ's: 50% less salt cashews and 50% less salt pistachios. Delicious! read more

Believe the hype- this location is one million times better than Bailey's Crossroads, although I have yet to try the Clarendon location so I cannot compare it to that. What I can say is this location has fresher produce than Bailey's and more of a variety of options too. They are always doing beer and wine samples and their selection is much larger as well. I sampled a double IPA that was on sale and ended up purchasing two bottles for later in the week because it was so delicious. Staff is typically friendly at every TJ but the past two or three times I've gone to Bailey's there is this real jerk working who can't seem to be bothered to answer any questions and when questioned about something on the food he was handing out as a sample, his response was "I don't know". This locations staff has always been more than helpful and the lady giving samples of the delicious uncured pastrami sandwiches with melted mozzarella on rye took the time to suggest other bread options that they offer that would make a good pressed sandwich when we were none to thrilled with a whole loaf of rye. This location validates parking and is larger so I don't find it to be so claustrophobic. This location and Bailey's are about equal distance from me but I think I will find myself at this location far more than the other. read more

I'm not a huge Trader Joe fan to begin with, but this location is terrible. It's always super crowded and staff are so unhelpful and unfriendly. I don't think I'll be returning to any Trader Joe's in the future. There are a few select items I'll buy, but it's not like you can do all your shopping here. They are always out of something or there's something they don't have you want. If I have to go to two stores anyways I'd rather go to Mom's instead which is way better. Seriously I cannot give TJ's higher than 3 stars. Even though I like a select few items, like the Chimcurri Rice and chick pea salad, many of its products and selection are SEVERELY lacking. I bought the mozzarella there and had to throw it out because it wasn't even edible! You can't even buy mini-carrots or parsley there! What kind of a grocery store is that??? Great Trader Joes in a great location. Plenty of garage parking but there is also on street parking for those who hate garages. Can get a bit crowded at certain times like Sunday afternoon but still manageable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Kinda shocked because most tjs are really great. This one is pretty small even compared to dc, the aisles are tight and there is usually a line to checkout. The cashiers are not as quick as other locations and dont seem to have the usual tj spunk. A shame because the area itself is nice. read more

I dig Trader Joe's and this one in particular is no exception. Choose your times wisely though because during peak hours it gets crazy busy. You know what that means, a bunch of richie pretentious asswipes banging carts to get to the last almond crusted tofu filet! That said, off-peak, the place is money. They're always in stock of my extra large PB Puffins at cheaper than anywhere else prices. The wine selection is better than expected given the small size of the store and those prices are great too. When they finally come out with the TJ brand TP I'll shop there for good! read more
