This store is like an oasis among grocery stores. It is always bright, cheerful, and friendly, full of delicious, healthy choices that are easy on the wallet. I love coming in to see what amazing samples they have for tasting and what new wines, beers, and specialty beverages they have featured. It's nice to be able to grab snacks and packaged foods that aren't loaded with preservatives, as well. The staff is very friendly, as well. There is one gent specifically that always offers great drink ideas (both alcoholic and kid-friendly) every time I go through his line at check-out. This guy is the rule, not just the exception! I feel like almost everybody just loves Traders because it's upbeat and positive and friendly and the staff is super helpful for the most part and even the checkers go the extra mile and seem really personable and sweet. You really have to read The Fearless Flyer or whatever they are calling their catalog these days, in order to see and appreciate all that they carry since it is crammed into a relatively small space. I think they tend toward quality rather than just nutrition and organic but all together it is a unique experience and well worth it. The prices are good and fair and some things are really fancy and delicious. Their line of personal care items is good quality and very reasonably priced. They really back up their products and if you ever have a problem they remedy at cheerfully and immediately without question and that is unique. read more

I like Trader Joe's; they have a relatively unique selection at affordable prices. Unfortunately, they keep discontinuing my favorite vegetarian and vegan items and they do not have that many to begin with. Also, I am somewhat bothered by the constant "reformulating" of things that do not need to be reformulated; they went ahead and changed my Tofu Edamame Nuggets a while back and I've hated them ever since, the taste is just not there anymore. read more

I love stopping in Trader Joes a couple times per month. Their produce is always very fresh and delicious. They are a little pricier then the chain grocery stores. But they have numerous items that you usually can't find at them other places. I love their Brussel sprouts they are the freshest and tastiest I've found . I also get my Kale and my Feta cheese here. Another great bonus here is you can try anything they have before buying just ask they will open anything. They will gladly take returns on anything if you don't think its up to their standard. I love this place! Head here for grocery shopping, you won't be disappointed! I love coming here, everyone is always super nice. My little three yr old loves pushing around the little carts they have for kids. There are employees all over if you need help finding anything and they are more then happy to walk you to the area for the product (not just point or say down blah blah blah aisle) I'm always satisfied with my purchases. I have always been a big fan of Trader Joe's. They have such friendly and helpful staff, plus amazing food finds. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Trader Joe's. My husband went to the Trader Joe's in Batavia tonight to buy wine. They refused to sell him any alcohol because he had recently gone to the DMV to get his ID switched over to the Real ID. The DMV hole punched his old ID and gave him a paper temporary ID until the Real ID comes in the mail. The person that checked him out down right refused to use this legal documentation as his identification. I couldn't believe it. It is very well known that when you get a license renewal or when you have to change anything on your license that you get a temporary in the meantime. I will not be shopping at this location from here on out, as they are not training their employees adequately. read more

I'm planning to make a better effort for noticing names. Many times over this crew has gone beyond the rim of customer service. If it's not sincere I can't tell! They are so smooth in what they do. The caring additude is unbelievable! From the beautiful flowers awaiting your entry, till you're greeted with the BEST complimentary coffee, or the latest, and greatest of an array of cheeses and exquisite wines. Also complementary. Till you're greeted by a willing and able cashier, this service from the front of the store too the back makes the shopping experience so pleasant. So much so, that you won't mind paying! I never have been to a Trader Joe's before recently and kept hearing good things about it. I love it! There are some of the neatest foods here and some of their own brands are very delicious. Like the peanut butter filled chocolate covered pretzels. They had strawberries that were out of this world as well as really tender chicken breasts. The variety of foods was really fun to look through. There is a lot of heathful foods and the prices aren't bad either. I got a big bag of stuff for $15 so I was happy. The fat man makes a once monthly pilgrimage from the sticks just to shop at this little jewel of a place. We take home bags of frozen veg. Always nicer than the FRESH stuff on sale at our local Sullivans. The wine selection and prices are the best. The "Sleepless in Seattle" blend coffee is another fav. Lots of high quality stuff on the shelves and very well priced. Another bonus are the hordes of fellow shoppers noodling their way down the aisles, many of them very pleasant folks willing to stop and chat. I love this store. The selection of prepared foods is excellent, and the prices are not as high as you'd think. I buy a lot of prepared salads, yogurt, frozen meals, and fruit for my lunches at work. I appreciate that the prepared salads have the full nutritional information listed, so I don't have to guess. Their selection of frozen meals is so much more interesting and flavorful than what I was used to with Lean Cuisine and Weight Watchers. The other great part about this store is the employees. They actually make my day better, because they look you in the eye and seem to actually care about how your day is going. If I don't know what to try, they are happy to recommend something or give me a free sample. read more

I tried TJ's because I had been on a diet that had me buying items like quinoa and cale that I couldn't find at other grocery stores. I had the idea that prices would be sky-high like the boutique food stores. I was wrong. The prices are a solid value. These are the same folks who own Aldi after all. I love Aldi but TJ's provides me with a shopping adventure every trip. Highlights for me are the cheeses, single bottle sales of craft beer, sushi and salsa. What a great place to walk in and experience world class customer service! After being checked out by Charlene this afternoon, I had politely asked her if they were having any trouble with the integrity of their grocery bags - specifically with the paper handles coming loose. She had not heard of anything specific, but she graciously asked me if I had any problems. I then told her that one of my bags tore at the handle about a week ago and she immediately pulled a Manager aside (named Kathy), and within 10 SECONDS, Kathy confronted me and she asked what had broke. I told her that a bottle of wine fell to the ground and with no questions asked, she promptly walked over to the wine aisle and retrieved the exact bottle of wine that broke on me. She then said she was extremely sorry that the incident happened. Now, who in their right mind could not make this one of their favorite places to shop? Customer Service is everything these days, and obviously Trader Joe's has this totally in control. Congratulations and thank you to both Kathy and Charlene. P. S. I love this place. It's got great food, an excellent selection of things I don't think you can find easily anywhere else. My wife introduced me to this place and I like it. The atmosphere is sort of old timey it does try to be a trading outpost. A personal thing I like is how certain things are named. Trader Giotto, Trader Jose, etc for items that are based on specific cultures. It doesn't change anything but shows a level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail that lets me know they care about their products. Also single servings of alcohols if you just want to sample something and not make a huge investment. Great for expanding your palate without breaking the bank. read more

This is the first review for anything that I have written, but my daughter and I were so touched by the kindness of two of your staff members, that I felt compelled to write and say thank you. This past Saturday, Dec. 20th, my daughter and I were in doing a bit of shopping. We were both deeply saddened as we had just come from the vet's office where we just had to put our beloved Takeshi (a 10 1/2 year old female Akita) down unexpectedly. We had Kishi (as we called her) ever since she was 8 weeks old. She was a great dog and a member of our family. There was an employee doing a wine tasting that day. My daughter and I were standing in line to be served our taste of wine when the employee looked at my daughter's black hoodie (which was covered in Kishi's light fur). She asked my daughter if she had a white dog. My daughter responded that we used to but we just had to put her down. The lady came out from behind her table and gave my daughter a great big hug and expressed her condolences. As if that wasn't enough of a touching gesture, when we were checking out, the girl bagging our groceries asked how our day was going. I told her "we've had better days" and told her that we had just put our doggie down. She also expressed her condolences. But the most amazing thing was, this employee walked to the door with us, grabbed a beautiful bouquet of white flowers and handed it to us saying, "I know this won't bring your doggie back, but please take these." My daughter and I were so touched, we cried all the way to our car. That small act of kindness meant so much to us that day. I just wanted to say thank you to these two wonderful, caring employees! We did not get their names, but hopefully you will know who they are and give them our appreciation for the kindness they showed us that day. Keeping it simple. Good healthy food at good prices and polite, knowledgeable clerks to boot. Worth the bit of a drive to bypass the other grocery stores. Great if you're one of those people who doesn't need 50 aisles of choices to pick out your meals for a few days. Also good for avid label readers and people who don't want to take out a small loan every time they stock their freezer. Keep in mind that they use fewer preservatives so it you aren't going to eat it in the next few days of buying it pop it in the freezer because it won't keep in the fridge. read more

I love Trader Joe's. I don't do all my grocery shopping here, but it is my favorite place to shop for food. There is a great selection and I think the prices are great. Some people think Trader Joe's is expensive, but I buy a lot of vegan/vegetarian/natural/organic stuff so I have found that Trader Joe's has a lot of those items at cheaper prices than at Meijer or Jewel. I think if you care about the quality of your food you'll find that Trader Joe's is a good value. There are just some really great foods here that you can't find (or are harder to find or more expensive) anywhere else! For example: frozen garlic naan, pretzel loaves, Everything Crackers, pumpkin pancake mix (seasonal?), organic microwavable mac & cheese, meatless corn dogs, Sweet & Spicy Pecans, Puffins cereal, large cheese selection, Veggie Rolls, Joe-Joes (better than Oreos), etc. In addition to the great foods and great prices, I love that the store isn't huge, so shopping won't take forever and things aren't too hard to find. I also love how they really encourage shoppers to bring reusable bags because I'm all about recycling :) read more

I can not say enough good about this grocery store. I appreciate their fair prices on organics, good quality food, etc. -- but it's really more the atmosphere. I was diagnosed with several food allergies and was having a hard time helping, and one of the clerks actually bought me some tea he recommended just to be nice. Another time I went in and they had a whole festival going on, complete with a large ukele band. And today, after hearing I was getting married, the clerk disappeared for a minute, then came back to give me a gift of a bouquet of flowers. I love this Trader Joe's because of the great customer service. I absolutely love the flower selection. I rated 4 stars and not 5 because when I purchase fresh organic produce, it often goes bad within 2/3 days. I purchased a bag of fresh organic green beans and three days later fuzz was growing and the expiration date had not been passed. I now get most of my organic fruits and vegetables from the freezer section. read more
