Colorful flower bouquets. They looked fresh and healthy.

After having lunch at the Pruneyard I decided to stop in at Trader Joe's. I don't shop there very often due to the crowded parking situation, but a Yelp friend frequently posts photos of the delicious items she finds there and it made me want to go back. It's a nice size Trader Joe's and wasn't too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. I immediately found the shelves with new items and picked up a bag of yellow curry potato chips I wanted to try. I also got a small bag of Colombian dark chocolate sticks with crispy rice. When I tried both items later they were delicious. The dark chocolate is rich without being too sweet and has a bit of a coffee flavor that I like. The chips are addicting and a little spicy, but not hot enough to stop a heat wimp like me. They had containers of fresh strawberries, which I can never get enough of, so I put one in my basket. Then I headed for the sweet treats. So many to choose from. I grabbed a package of Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins and a little bag of mini chocolate chip cookies. It turned out they both tasted great, especially the lemon cookies, which would be even more delectable dipped in lemon curd. I usually like to look at the frozen food and pre-made sections, but didn't want to buy anything cold today since I had errands to run afterward. I'll be back soon to take another look around.

I came here today specifically for the 12 days of Beaty advent calendar. This Trader Joe's is located in the Pruneyard. It was really busy inside but luckily they had what I wanted. They had 4 advent calendar's left. I bought two. One for me and one as a gift for my friend. There are 12 different beauty products inside and they are $19.99 a piece. I'm very happy that I found them. They were sold out at the Trader Joe's I usually shop at.

I ordered some white mums, baby breaths and eucalyptus for my son's baptism. Although I did not receive all of the white mums I wanted I am grateful Ally, the manager called the other stores to see if they carried them. It is not Trader Joe's fault, they warned me they may not get all the same types of white mums I like because shipment comes in a set of various mums, but I am grateful they were able to get me a lot of the flowers I needed for my son's baptism. Great service, I got to keep the buckets for the flowers which saved me time and money to buy buckets from Home Depot. Ally helped bring my flowers to my car and helped placed my flowers inside my car. Thank you Ally and Trader Joe's for your excellent service!

First time at this Trader Joe's. It is everything you will expect at a TJ, and items seem well organized and well stocked. Parking can be a bit hectic during lunch time, but that is not TJ's fault. Like all the locations you'll find seasonal items and flowers, which are worth checking out. If in doubt you can ask the store clerks, and they will provide some information. Another good way to see what new items are available is to check out their newsletter, which also has a lot of good recipe ideas. Thanks TJs!

La Fin Du Monde! Cheaper here than Total Wine ($8.99).

The entire bakery staff is always helpful and friendly, but I want to give a special shout-out to Sierra for her incredible service yesterday (Wednesday, 3/25). I stopped in to get French bread for my mom (it's her favorite!), and Sierra went above and beyond. Usually, when I ask for bread to be sliced at other stores, it's met with an attitude, but Sierra was so kind. Even though the slicing machine was broken, she didn't hesitate to hand-slice the entire loaf for me herself. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really made my day. Huge thanks to Sierra and the rest of the bakery crew for always taking such great care of their customers!

I started looking around for other options and found out that Lunardi's bakery actually sells burnt almond cake and that people say it's pretty good. So I asked my husband to go pick one up for us. The 8" cake was only $24.99, which honestly felt very affordable compared to a lot of bakery cakes these days. From the very first bite, I was so happy we decided to try it. The custard filling in the middle was so good and the cake itself was soft, moist, and full of flavor. They were very generous with the almonds all around the cake too, which gave it that perfect burnt almond cake texture and taste I was craving. The bakery also mentioned that they usually have them available, which is dangerous information for me now. Lol. Definitely will be back whenever I need to fulfill my burnt almond cake cravings again!

I had already called and gone in person to two other Safeway locations, and even though they had plain cakes sitting in the display case, they told me they couldn't decorate one because those were "for orders." I understand it was last minute, but it felt like no one was even willing to try. When I called this Safeway location, the woman on the phone kindly told me they didn't have any cakes with flowers or a spring theme ready. She must have heard the disappointment in my voice because she asked me what I was looking for. I explained the situation and the kind of cake I was hoping for. Without hesitation she said, "You know what? I'll make it for you. Give me about an hour." They didn't just take a plain cake from the display case. They actually asked me what flavor I wanted and made the cake fresh in the flavor I chose, and then decorated it exactly how I imagined it. The piping and flowers were absolutely beautiful. You could tell they really took their time and cared. What touched me even more was the little details. They carefully taped the bottom of the cake to the box so it wouldn't slide while I was driving, making sure the piping and decorations stayed perfect. That level of thoughtfulness meant so much to me. When I picked it up, I honestly almost cried because it was so beautiful. At the bridal shower everyone kept complimenting it and asking where it was from. It tasted amazing and became one of the highlights of the day. Those two wonderful women in the bakery didn't just make a cake -- they saved my best friend's bridal shower. They worked so hard, were so kind, and went completely above and beyond for me. I truly feel blessed and so grateful. I even thanked God for them because in that stressful moment they really felt like angels. I hope they get the recognition they deserve, because customer service like that is rare. I have never experienced anything like it, and I will never forget their kindness.
