This is the third time getting my groceries at this Trader Joe's. I usually don't come by to this Bascom location because the parking here is horrendous. A few days ago, I was here to grab a sandwich for lunch (on a weekday), and I decided to get some groceries as well. I have always loved the wide selection of organic and/or gluten-free items at Trader Joe's. Especially during the pandemic, Trader Joe's frozen pre-packaged meals have helped a lot. These tasty meals make eating at home all the time more bearable, giving me a respite from my own cooking. Trader Joe's staff are always super kind and helpful, and the guy who packed my groceries ... he was amazing! See below ... see how he packed my groceries into the cart! Such efficiency! Probably my #2 favorite Trader Joe's, though I submitted a picture of cat Doobie eating their pistachio ice cream for the pet wall and they rejected him. However they have free watermelon suckers and great location (Pruneyard). Friendly workers (but that's all Trader Joe's). Horrible parking (like all Trader Joe's), but this one has an largely unused lot toward the bank if you don't want to circle like sharks playing backup roulette. read more

The worst tj in the bay area. It is the only tj that charges customers for two bags for double bagging groceries. On a top of it even if you specify one bag, they double bag it anyway and charge you for two bags. To make the situation worse the manager just laugh at you when you raise the issue. read more

I love coming here. My girlfriend specifically likes this particular branch because of what they offer that she does not always find that other Trader Joe's stores. She finds all the cosmetic materials that she needs, and I find all the snacks and fruits that I like. The staff is helpful and everything moves pretty fluid. I would hope that this branch would be able to move to a larger location because of the parking and the amount of traffic that comes in. Granted it is a prime location, but for whatever reason the parking is horrible. Of course I know they can't control the parking, but it would be nice to be in a place where I wouldn't have to worry about my car being scraped or blocked in by drivers who may not know how to use the lines. Who doesn't like TJ's! They have great prices, unique items, well laid out stores, and great employees. Some of my faves: Organic white or brown pre-cooked rice. Makes meals super fast and easy. I pair with veggies and/or meat. Pineapple juice and pre-cut and packed pineapple chunks. Cilantro dressing Orange chicken BBQ chicken although I often leave the bbq sauce packet off the chicken because of the sugar. Any fruit or veggies. Cold brew concentrate - again, fast and easy when needed. At the holidays - Kringle! Omgosh it's like food crack! read more

Used to be my go-to Trader Joe's, but recently the employees I've come across seem to be more rude and unhappy. Had experiences where cashiers are basically chucking the grocery items after scanning, mostly noticed when they are by themselves and don't have a bagger. Even if they're eggs. A couple times some of the items were knocked off the counter because of how they were throwing it, with no apology. Other times I've been double and sometimes triple charged for one item and they've had to correct it. Only to double charge me for another item immediately afterwards. Now, I stare at the monitor to make sure the quantities are correct. Employees used to greet other customers, give compliments, ask how their day is, etc. but now I hardly see that. I go here almost every week and now I hear workers talking about how "they don't pay me enough to do that." "I'm off the clock, people keep asking me for help." "They should pay me for all the work I'm doing." And this is openly in front of other customers. It's a bit weird to witness. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day but openly for everyone else to see? It ruins this illusion that Trader Joe's is a super friendly and welcoming place. I still go here, but I'm saddened by my recent experiences here. Maybe I've just run into those that are just miserable, but there's definitely others that still give a warm smile and are great to hold conversations with. Trader Joe's was recommended to me by several friends with their brand products I tried when going to their homes or they would give them to me to try. When I finally went there in Campbell I was pleased to find they had their brand of organic frozen vegetables, salad dressing, breads, chicken and other meats, frozen dinners and other things that I eat regularly that are not only better than Safeway and other stores but also much less expensive. The employees are all friendly that add to the relaxed atmosphere and keep things stocked. The Campbell location is also close by and there's plenty of parking. read more

Who would have thought grocery shopping could be so enjoyable. I stopped about 9:30 this morning to grab a few things..well if anyone else shops at TJs you know that never happens. I went to get in line to check out and a checker grabbed my cart with a huge smile and said "I am happy to help you". I said Okey dokey...as they always ask "did you find everything ok" I mentioned "I only needed radishes"..with a full cart we both laughed..She was not only kind, but thanked me for brining a bag and while she was packing it she made sure nothing was squished in the bottom. We joked about folks not bringing their bags and she mentioned she is guilty of that as well something's. More laughter...Her name was Felicia and I think Trader Joe's needs to make sure they thank her as well. What a fabulous way to get a dull chore completed with great customer service and laughing!!! I hate to give him only 4 out of 5 stars but feel like the parking situation has to be at rest especially when the Prineyard gets busy - which can be pretty often. It certainly doesn't help that the store is right in front where everybody wants to park and not back near the garage but on the bright side that does let the employees collect the used shopping carts quickly. Selection is fantastic, even during the pandemic I can't think of anything they didn't have that I wanted. Staff is always friendly and now that covid is in the rear view mirror knock on wood they're happy to bag your groceries for you. Plant selection could be bigger but they do the best they can with the space they have! read more

This Trader Joe's is located in the Pruneyard Shopping Center - just at the edge off Bascom Ave. It's a cute store but has less merch than most TJ's; I couldn't find many of the things I regularly buy there. Employees were still nice as ever, but parking is tricky due to it being in the same plaza as a ton of other stores and restaurants. read more

I miss going to Trader Joe's at this location when I use to live close by. All of the staff are all super friendly, and they always prioritize customer service. Parking sucks, but it's not so bad on weekdays. I came back today because I was close by the area, and I'll never forget the sweet lady that helped me with my groceries to my car seeing that I was pregnant. Thank you! A worker, Leecha, turns around and asked if there was anything she could do to help us out. She went in the back to look for our item and found it. Full disclosure, I LOVE Trader Joes! I love their salads, the marinated meats, their Mint Chocolate chip ice cream, their Mango Peach Orange juice, the cheese selection, and of course the Joe Joe cookies. I seriously could go on naming products I love. Suffice it to say I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's. This location recently remodeled and expanded into the adjoining space and is now twice as big. The aisles are wide and the staff is friendly, with many long term employees. I love TJ's so much that I'm willing to forgive that the produce is just OK, and the parking can be really tough during peak hours. Inadequate parking is my pet peeve, and I make sure to plan my shopping trips during low volume hours. Did I mention how much I love Trader Joe's? read more

I always love going to this Trader Joe's. They are always very friendly, welcoming and are always willing to help you out if you need anything. The foods here have great quality. I love their cheese selection! It's great priced and they have an awesome assortment of cheeses. Their microwaveable lunches are great! I enjoy their chicken tikka lunch plate and their Mac and cheese is to die for! I always buy my 99 cent get well/blank cards here too. Amazing Trader Joe's with plenty of parking out front. Easy to see from the streets and easy to access. During peek shopping hours, the store can feel a little tight. But it's designed in a way where you can go with the flow and pick up groceries along the way. The employees are really friendly and super helpful, always asking if I need anything or if they can help me find something. Fresh produce, excellent selection of prepared meals to-go. I love this Trader Joe's! The employees are always so friendly and helpful. I've never been to another grocery store where all the employees are so happy and ready to help you find what you're looking for. Every time I have to go to another grocery store for something I'm disappointed by the customer service and think "I wish it was more like Trader Joe's". They have also done an amazing job with social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic. We're 6 months in now and they still limit the number of shoppers and sanitize everything, I feel very safe here and it is the only store that makes me feel this way. They are clear on what you're supposed to do and where to stand, which most other big retail chains stopped doing months ago. Don't really shop here that often, but when I do...boy do I find GREAT deals on really healthy ish! For a chicadee who burns everything she tries to cook...I really like the ready-made lunches/dinners that Trader Joe's has on display. Super yummy! Especially the chicken dinner entrees. I've also heard great things about their frozen entrees and desserts. We came in here the other day to find some really good healthy sliced bread. And we ended up leaving with an awesome deal! Trader Joes branded MultiGrain Sprouted Bread :) They also have a great sample station in the back left corner of the store. I feel the prices here for organic products are a lot cheaper than Whole Foods...but the variety is pretty much limited. I also have yet to try some of their 2 buck chucks. Trader Joe's had been around for many years and so far their service and products remain consistent. This place is no exception. Aisles are well organized, products are good quality, service is good. If you're new to Trader Joe's: well its not for everyone (at least I think so). Definitely cheaper products, some are unique but some areas like meat, cheese and some veggies need more quality options. Otherwise, it's good to have this store in this area. read more

I actually love this Trader Joe's location more so than the others I've been to because of the area that it's in. The parking can be very terrible as it's in a shopping mega plaza w/ all these boutiques, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, etc. but I think this one is organized, well stocked, clean, and the service is always friendly and quick. Not to mention the customers are nice and friendly for the most part too. My favorites: personal pizzas, frozen/refrigerated delicacies (dumplings, fat free buritos, chicken tikka masala, salads, wraps, LOTS of types of cheese, and lots of types of deli meats).. it's mostly healthy so I don't mind paying a little extra for quality and taste. If I could afford to do ALL my shopping here, I so would. read more

I've been shopping at this TJs for years. The employees here have always been really friendly and helpful. I recommend shopping at TJs most of the time for their variety of different food. Right now during our current Stay at Home order for COVID-19, this store is a sanctuary. A week before the order changed for stores to keep a low number of people in the store they doing this. Plus the cart wipe downs and offering hand sanitizer to you before going inside. They are keeping the shelves so stocked that when you take a item it's being restocked. So if you have COVID-19 shopping anxiety, come here for a zen like experience. read more

Trader Joe's is our primary/first stop for weekly groceries. The one in the Pruneyard is usually less crowded Monday mid-afternoon. I have loved TJ's since the original store was it, on the border between Pasadena and "South Pass". Love the staff, too. During the CoVID-19 pandemic, they have a senior/disabled line, with priority entrance. I visited last weekend at 9:15, not knowing they had a senior hour as well as the separate line. Still the same number of folk at any one time. My hands and cart were sanitized on the way in. The first week, longer disinfecting and gloves, but that's downgraded a bit, but still effective. Dry goods have limits, but you can buy a dozen oranges. TP is one pack per customer/household per day/visit: call to ask what their stock is like before you head over, if that's what you need. Perishables were well stocked. They are passing out bananas for free at checkout on March 23rd, but my last visit, it was asparagus. That's sweet, trying to keep goodwill and people leave with a smile. Everyone was so pleasant, if not cheerful. They may be serious about sanitation, but I heard laughter inside. read more

By far the friendliest trader joe's staff! Came during my lunch hour because I was bored. I figured I can grab some snacks while I'm at it. They were out of a lot of things I needed, but the employees went to check the back stock and apologized numerous times for not having them in stock. I love how they have so many food options and there are a bunch of "grab n go" items, which make it very convenient for those on lunch, or those who simply don't cook/like to cook. The seasonal stuff is the best...... Pumpkin everything is all I have to say. Got time? Stop by the area where they are handing out samples. It'll give you some inspo on your next meal. This is my least favorite for Trader Joe's. The parking lot was always a mess even before the construction. Now it's almost impossible to find a space. There's always someone panhandling in front and there's been a few purse snatches, if you can believe that. The store is crowded and there's always a pile up at the registers. Full disclosure: I do 80% of my grocery shopping at an Asian market, 18% at a large supermarket chain and the remaining 2% at "interesting places." To me, Trader Joe's falls in the interesting category. Even if you haven't set foot in a Trader Joe's, after hearing their fun radio commercials or reading their cleverly written mailers you want to. That's right, I know you do. I have recently been shopping at Trader Joe's more often than before because I'm making a few changes to my diet, and Trader Joe's has many of the things I'm trying. They have carved out a nice little niche in the upscale grocer space, with a smaller, more interesting selection than the big box grocers, and less expensive and [negative rant omitted] offering than the place with the nickname "Whole Paycheck." Everybody has their preferences. For example, I like kittens. So here are some of the things I've been enjoying lately at Trader Joe's: - their cheese selection is small but competent, on a tip I tried their goat brie and love it - their spin on Korean bulgogi is worth a try - organic carrot juice is sweet - they have a very simple, white gluten-free sandwich bread that should not be overlooked - the wine selection is good enough to pick up a bottle or three - they have this dark chocolate bar called Fireworks which is infused with chili peppers and some popping compound reminiscent of Pop Rocks -- this is the thing I tried today for the first time which motivated me to write this review - triple-filtered coconut oil is great for cooking, I have replaced my usual Canola oil with it - their avocados are goooood You should trade with Joe, IMHO. read more

I haven't been a traders joes fan for a while. But this one might have me changing my mind. Here's why... Trader Joe's has always had great packages items. Snacks. Pre made meals. But i always felt their meat was weirdly smelly and their produce was lacking. I went in the other day to get bread and walked out with a lot more. I gave their ground beef a chance and it seemed good! No weird smells this time. And their strawberries were red, ripe, and delicious. Their brand of bread was also really good, thick fluffy soft slices. Mmmm. It was kinda packed in there. I was lucky and found parking up front which doesn't always happen at the Pruneyard. I'm normally going to Whole Foods but I may try to frequent Trader Joe's more often now that I had a positive experience with their meat and produce (which is the kind of thing I mainly shop for, not packaged items) Keep up the good work Trader Joe's! read more

I came here - they were out of a bunch of stuff which is fine. Checked out, asked the cashier if I could exit through a specific door because I want to be aware of Covid flow. He said I could. Immediately when I walked out I was snapped at by a worker saying I can't go out that way and when I explained we I just asked and was told I could she flippantly said "oh well he's new, just remember for next time" like no... it's not my job to remember what your flow is... Trader Joe's Bascom in Campbell always has what I'm looking for at competitive prices. Prices are creeping up slightly cos of the overall economic condition in the country ( and the world, for that matter ) but at least some items are still being sold at the same prices, it's just that others cost more but I guess that is just economic supply and demand. I was able to find the things I was looking for very quickly cos I know this store being a frequent shopper here and I was in and out of the store in 5 minutes. The cashier Carmen was very friendly and even double-bagged my items, something not all cashiers do ( I did buy a lot of bottles of soda, after all, but not every cashier does that anyway ). I'm glad they still sell Ritter Sport bars here at a great price. Those are hard to find almost everywhere! read more

I love Trader Joe's but I saw plenty of the staff that were wearing their masks under their chin for minutes at a time. Trust me I hate wearing masks but I have to wear one for hours at work too. If am near a customer but I need to pull my mask down for a second I step away. I saw a MANAGER (wearing a dress shirt and taking inventory) not wearing a mask for the entire time I was shopping but every customer is required to wear one?! Yes, parking can be a nightmare, but I've never had a problem coming here during my lunch break. I always feel so productive when I come. I get my grocery shopping done, go to the bank, and grab lunch all at once at the Pruneyard. My usual grocery list: - Trader Joe's French Village Vanilla Yogurt $2.49 good for the entire week. It's my "healthy" choice for breakfast at on the weekdays so I can eat whatever I want on the weekends. - Fresh blueberries $2.99 - Butter for the many baked items I try to make $2.79 - Eggs $1.79/dozen - Bottle of wine. There are lots to choose from. Oh, and save the planet by getting one of the $0.99 reusable bags. Plus every time you use it, they give you a raffle ticket. I still haven't figured out what the raffle is for. Ha! read more
