The food is wholesome, service helpful...I can ask any associate I can see and ask for an item and most of the time am taken directly to it, or they inquire if they have it...I'm helped; ambiance is better than a regular market because associates are all over the place ready to help. It's friendly....I do get a number of items ther, but only if I have to go to town for a dr appointment because it is sooooo far away. We live in south central Sanger, on the edge, and it takes nearly 1/2 hr to get there. I don't drive much anymore, a which makes it hard to shop for wholesome goods. We have a Grocery Outlet in town for some wholesome, organic, low chemical items, but Trader Joe's has other things of that genre GO doesn't carry. The GO gets people from the foothills, outlying towns, and has a good customer base. Trader Joe's needs to look at locations between Sanger and Clovis or just come to Sanger (there are several locations that would be suitable, especially in /near the Walmart shopping center...). The two stores located closer to each other would benefit from each other's clientele...they'd be hugely busy and profitable (it's about the money, right?), since they'd be near the 180. Tons of construction has brought people here from all over CA, and they miss their TJ and used to miss the GO, but now we have one. C'mon, TJ, see the light and get a store open anywhere from Sunnyside to Reedley, and you'll be sitting in lettuce! We need some wholesomeness here for tourists, too, since we are the gateway to the Sierra Parks, have tons of ABnBs, and tourists like TJs. You can't lose planting a store in the Sanger area. read more

Covid hasn't been easy for a lot of us especially first responders like me a Nurse and my boyfriend working in Radiology who Xrays Covid positive patients for over a year now. So as a way to heal, we started collecting houseplants. Unfortunately I went to this Trader Joe's after getting off a 12 hour night shift and found plants that I didn't have in my collection, only to be approached by the manager and told, "You are only limited to one plant.". As a PAYING customer, I couldn't believe what I was hearing because this is America. We live in a free country, this is not communism Trader Joe's. My first time here. Checker was super friendly. Store was clean. Lots of fun snacks. I love the dehydrated mangoes. Hazelnut cookies are delicious. Bought 2 bottles of wine. One I've purchased before elsewhere so I know I like it. The second wine was pretty cheap and it great. Looking forward to trying the other items we bought. read more

The staff is always upbeat and will go out of their way to help us find a product or hold one for us if they are out. The store is always clean. I enjoy going early in the morning when its not busy, that way I can chat with the staff for a few and catch up on life. It's a Trader Joe's, so if you've been to one of them, expect the same ol stuff and experience with this location. Of course this isn't a bad thing. Goes to show Trader Joe's makes sure their stores offer all the same familiarity. I've been to this location when the Fresno location is out of something--which seems to be common. That is why I gave that location 1 less star, and this one perfect. This location is older, but doesn't take away from the Trader Joe's experience. This location actually feels more Trader Joe's than the new one in Fresno. Maybe the darker interior, and smaller parking lot--its something. But in the end, they are all just another great Trader Joe's location, with this Clovis one always coming through when the Fresno one runs out of a particular item. read more

If you want quality customer service, this is the place. The workers are constantly sanitizing to keep things clean and ready for the next customer, but they all keep positive attitude. The flowers are always fresh, and always reasonable. A few of the workers there are always quick to show me new arrivals, which are always beautiful. The produce is always fresh and delicious. Their organic assortment is fairly priced, and I have always enjoyed finding items that I might not typically fan in a grocery store. I have become a huge fan of Jackfruit, and though it is typically VERY expensive, their can version is very reasonable and fresh. It never has a metallic taste to it. More businesses should take a trip inside a trader joe's and see how a business should be ran. read more

Trader Joes people are very friendly and happy here. I always get fantastic service with a smile, so it's one of the reasons I keep going back. Clovis is missing a few items I used to get on a regular basis in North Beach, SF (Strawberry Yogurt O's!) but I do like how samples are always prepared continuously and happily, instead of being "made to order" as slowly as possible in SF. lol I'm sure there's a reason... there was once a Chinese accidental hipster who stood for slices of tangerines again and again- awkward. I got some Korean kimchee for $1.99 on sale... It is probably on its way to be phased out... It was pretty bad. Go to Korea Mart in Fresno. I think the kimchee in Vons is better!!! Also, grabbed a bag of Korean Shingo dried pear in the nut and dried fruit section. The pre-made sandwiches such as the falafel rolls and chicken terragon have been lifesavers for lunch. Sometimes, I make sandwiches with the lavash flat bread, which I've come to love in Persian restaurants. Himalayan pink salt is also awesome! Just a few grinds, and that's enough. The wild fish (frozen cod or refrigerated salmon) are also delish. As for the organic produce, it is often cheaper than the organic stuff in regular supermarkets, so I like to grab the blueberries once in a while. Milk is also very reasonable at $3.19/gallon and OJ at $1.99/quart everyday. I don't recommend the turkey chili... omg the gas :( It tasted good, though =P fyi there is no discount for bringing in your own bag. read more

For a person who loves to cook and get real good quality food, this is the place for me, its even better than whole foods because they offer the same quality things but its cheaper here. Trader Joe's is the best grocery store to get organic foods, fresh flowers and orchids , high quality ingredients for cooking, artisanal toiletries, cutely packaged groceries, artisanal grocery items (such as tempeh and real good coconut milk) with a store size that doesn't overwhelm a shopper ( get in and out easily), and finally with prices that aren't cheap but not as expensive as Whole foods. Trader Joe's always markets the most bizarre grocery items you can't find anywhere else and they pride themselves upon quality ingredients, so I do frequentlu shop here. The Clovis trader joes is "THE BEST" traders joe's in Fresno and Clovis metropolitan because the store layout is more organized and much more spacious compared to the Fresno Trader Joe's , parking is private and easy, the produce are always updated and fresh and the workers here are really friendly and helpful and they are so efficient that I hardly have to wait my turn when checking-out. The best part about this Trader Joes is the convenient service, just roll your grocery cart or set the basket and they will pack everything nicely and properly according to the grocery, the workers here take real good care to place the items according to its proper organization, and not mixing things that shouldn't in their famous paper bags. My favorite items to get here is the Tempeh $2.99, sparkling water $2.99 and the best Moscato Asti wine in the world at $8.99. I also love getting my fresh live orchid plants here because its cheap $12.99 and its always long lasting. I could almost entirely get my groceries done here because everything here is good, I just try to avoid the meats because they are more expensive since they are organic, and for a student that kinda crazy. But overall trader joes especially this location is the best. read more

For the past few months, the credit card swipe machines are not functioning properly at this TJ store in Clovis. I have told the manager/s, but they have shrugged it off or said my card must be defective. Fortunately, my bank fraud center monitors it and contacts me every time the card does not register when swiped and/or inserted, I have to go through a series of questions and reviews and waste my time confirming the transaction after I return home. TJ should upgrade its credit card machines and not cause so much trouble for customers. I tried to post the complaint on their website but that function of "contact" does not work, either! read more

Much more spacious store than the Blackstone location. Pretty much the same selection, though. Not as many organic products as I would like, especially in the meat and prepared food sections. Lots of goodies, though, that you won't find in a traditional grocery store. This location has much better parking than the Blackstone store, which always made me crazy. I like to come to this trader joes for all of our packaged and box foods, since they are minimally processed and realativly "clean" for the most part. Their produce section has some good finds, sometimes. But I usually find myself getting bread, ceral, and some frozen foods while here. My only complaint is they are often out of the foods I am looking for. Other then that the staff is always very friendly and helpful, I never have an issue waiting in line. In fact, this is one of the few places I have found that usually has all their check stands open! It's amazing how much faster things move when there is more then two open! read more

Everything I buy out of Trader Joe's isn't a problem to me but the manager or whoever that spoke to me was an issue. I came in and the first thing I do is let a cashier at the front know that my dog is a service animal so that someone is aware and I don't get followed around. She cheerfully acknowledged and said, "you're good! Thank you!" Shortly after walking past their produce a guy follows me as I'm on the phone and asks me if my dog is a service animal, which I happily tell him yes and state that I told a lady at the front. He looks at me like I'm stupid, so I show him on my phone that he is a registered service animal and proceeded to tell him that he is for asthmatic purposes. He doesn't even finish his sentence of, "that doesn't..." and continues to look at me like I'm some sort of idiot. He just goes "ok" and leaves. By the time I'm checking out, the lady bags my items and just drops my items like a filthy rad on the counter with the deadest "have a nice day," walking away before I could even say anything. It cost $0 to have a better attitude and smile, coming from someone who works with hundreds of people a day. read more

Great place to shop! I love coming here for a good selection of cheeses and meats, lots of different kinds of snacks, and the strong beer and wine selection. My favorite thing about Trader Joe's, though, are the frozen foods. I'm addicted to their frozen mac and cheese, the gyoza pot stickers are so easy to throw in the streamer with rice for a quick meal, and the orange chicken is so quick and easy. At university, I lived on their pizzas and sweet potato fries, which are still good and have only a few ingredients. For healthier options, they also have edamame and pre-diced and frozen fruits that are perfect for smoothies or snacking on. I've also been experimenting with the frozen fish options - the scallops, for example, are pricy but large and tasty and you get a good amount in each bag. The snacks, though. I'm also a fan of the mochi! I swore by their almond bark but sadly it was discontinued, but the peanut butter cups, mini cookies, and chocolate covered marshmallows still go down well in this sweet-toothed household. I've knocked off one star because I'm not all about how they serve the fresh produce here. A lot of things are packaged into bags or nettings so it's really difficult for me to buy the right portioning for my meal plans for 2. I also end up with extra, unnecessary packaging a lot of the time, so that's frustrating. Usually I will reserve my trips to Trader Joe's for the things listed above, and get my fresh produce at SaveMart. The staff here are always super cheerful and friendly, always happy to help. Love TJs and this location! A regular at this location for 5 years. The staff has always been friendly, except for one time at checkout but it was an elderly woman who was clearly concerned about covid (which is understandable) and kind of mean despite us being masked up and very socially distanced... question is why was she working at the checkout where contact with customers is non avoidant? Very confusing because it wasn't busy and there were other younger employees doing the rounds... also her helper/bagger was about 20 years old Wish she would have been assigned elsewhere so we could have left smiling like always but this was our only negative experience. Best time to come is around 10am I've found due to the shelves being fully stocked but also very little customers in the store. read more

This Trader Joe's is located near the Me-n-Ed's on Willow and Nees. Tucked in the corner, it's one if my favorite place rs to shop. You'll discover something unique there that you'll just Have to try and the price won't be outrageous. We have any favorites here so I won't list them but I do encourage you to come and explore a Trader Joe's near you! The only negative - the restrooms are now often leas than clean. This is not due to anything other than patrons who can't seem to be clean. As long as you or your little ones don't need to use the facilities, you'll be great. read more

I don't normally think of a grocery store when I think of reviews but this guy at TJ's made my day. My daughter is a food diva (think Mariah Carey) so when she sent me her list of grocery items for an upcoming visit I headed to TJ's. On her list was cranberry, almond and chocolate trail mix. Do you know how many configurations of trail mix TJ's carries? A lot. Casey helped me go through every type. No luck. We gave up and I finally took a pic to see if she could help. Called them to ask if they carried sugared lemon slices. The fellow I was speaking g with mentioned that he recollected they did, but would check for sure in the compute. He took me play by play as he searched the inventory on the computer then telling me that the product was discontinued. He also took the time to tell me when they were discontinued. I appreciated that time was given to answer my question and even share a bit of addition information. This is where I do my weekly grocery shopping. Everything comes from TJ's except for produce and meat, which I buy from Whole Foods. Their prepackaged salads and sandwiches are nifty, they sell awesome frozen meals (their pesto bowls are addicting), and their selection of beers and wines is great. TJ's is known as a kind of European market; it's not a 1/2 acre supermarket like its American equivalent. They also pride themselves on offering "green" cleaners and detergents. Yeah, their selection isn't as vast as Whole Foods, but their prices are a heck of a lot better and you don't have to deal with the "Mother Earth" pretentiousness of Whole Foods, either. read more

This was a really nice location. They had small shopping carts for the kids, which my daughter loved and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The store itself is a little on the small side compared to the locations I've been to here in so. Cal, but they had products we don't have, so I enjoyed seeing what products they carry. Honestly I like this TJ better than the fresno location. The parking is easier, the store is nicer, and its less of a hassle. I have had no problems with anyone working there and always get the best service so it really makes for a pleasant shopping trip. TJ's is great, cheap, and healthy. Anyone who knows me is aware of my more than slight obsession with Trader Joe's, and the fact that I have shopped in more than 14 of their stores is hopefully enough to convince you that I know what I'm talking about when I say: THIS TJ'S IS WONDERFUL!!! For starters, it's HUGE!!! Easily twice the size of some of the smaller ones I've lived near in the LA and Chicago areas, and their bread selection and grocery section are both far more extensive than most. It also comes with a GIANT parking lot, unlike many of the TJ's stores where the lot holds something like 15-20 cars and causes traffic jams worse than the 405 on a Friday afternoon in West LA. That said, it's still your friendly neighborhood Trader's with awesome food products and good produce at reasonable prices. You're not going to find high fructose corn syrup or trans fats anywhere in the store, and let's be honest... there's something about walking up to the register with your little reusable canvas tote bags that makes you feel like you're a better person than the lame-o's at Vons down the road. (Portlandia anyone? Come on, be honest. You *know* this is you.) ;] I can see how it would be a tough sell on someone trying to provide for a family of 8 or something, but for 2-4 people in a household, it's perfect. Don't believe me? Start with the $2 frozen pasta lunches or $3.30-ish Indian foods, master dinner with their creamy tomato bisque in the refrigerated section with a gouda quesadilla made with onion chili tortillas, and surprise that special someone in your life with their frozen S'more sandwiches for dessert. I really enjoy going to trader joes because the staff is really a joy to be around and the stores are always clean. I'd describe Trader Joes as a healthy/clean/organic and urban grocery store. It's similar to whole foods in some ways but a little less expensive. I really like the fact that it has small already made meals and really good salads. I also love the fact that it has a nice variety of different wine and beer. My favorite things to buy from here are their pre-packaged salads, oils, pastas, toiletries, frozen foods, sweets and snacks. We have been going to trader joes since we came to USA in 2005 .Great store quality groceries not too big of a choice but a lot of it own grown and made products Customer service is great as well But lately compare to one year ago a lot of products are going up and in prices For example yogurt Trader Joes brand from 2014 $2.99 price went to $4 which is now not many people can afford to buy In my opinion groceries branded by trader joes should not go up in prices people go there particularly for those items and now we have to find different brands organic and well made by affordable prices ! Trader Joe's Clovis, CA - Willow Avenue I made a quick detour to Trader Joe's this week to pick up something to eat and drink before class. I had never been to this location so, I was eager to check it out. TJ's has been a favorite of mine for a few years now. When I lived in Sacramento I would make weekly trips. However, upon moving to Fresno I learned there are only two in the whole area. Walking in I realized this TJ's location was on the smaller side. I got sour looks from a few customers and some employees as I made my way up and down the aisles deciding what to buy for dinner. I settled on a Salad and a TJ's sparkling water. With my four items in hand (I grabbed a few seltzer's for the week) I made my way to the cash registers. However, the lines were really long and the other registers had no one at them. I waited while debating which line to get in during which a TJ's employee walked up and told the woman behind me she would take her at the next register. I followed behind her. The women kindly suggested I go before her being that I only had a few items whereas she had a cart full of groceries. I thanked her and proceeded to the register. I greeted the clerk and she responded with a VERY unpleasant look and a rude "I'm taking her first!" The woman behind me stepped in and told the clerk she had suggested I go before her. The clerk gave me another hostile look, proceeded to ring up my four items, while avoiding eye contact, and hurriedly handed me my change. I wished her a good day and received no response. As I fumbled to put my change in my wallet I overheard her interaction with the lady behind me. She was very polite, gregarious, and professional with her. She even asked her if she had found everything alright ( I struggled finding the sparkling water). Furthermore, my first experience at the Clovis Trader Joe's was unpleasant. The employees were rude, the store was smaller than I expected, and, as previously alluded to in prior reviews, the clientele and employee population is VERY homogenous. In brief, do yourself a favor and drive the extra 3 Miles North to the one on Friant Rd. Where they have a larger selection of products, actual sense of customer service, and common courtesy. read more

Trader Joe's at Nees and Willow Ave. in Clovis, California We buy literally 95% of our groceries here. For many products, their prices are generally 10 to 15% less than the nearby Save Mart and Von's-Safeway, with better quality--e.g., no product in the store contains that vile high-fructose corn syrup or those "fake" fats in snacks. Their wide range of really interesting products in all categories positively dwarfs the supermarkets, from cheeses--literally half the price of the same ones at Save Mart--to canned and prepared goodies, nuts, and snacks. Their fish and meat selection and quality are top-notch and--again--10 to 15% less than the supermarkets. Their beer and wines also cost less than either the supers or BevMo. Although most store team members at TJ's around the country are friendly and helpful, the Clovis (California) Trader Joe's stands out even more than the other TJ's in the special care and attention of their clerks, who have always gone the extra mile for me. read more
