Visited Trader Joe's on a Saturday afternoon to pick up a few items. First time at this Trader Joe's, Culver City location. My sister in law lives around the area and she frequents this location. Glad we stopped by here. Parking is convenient and plenty of parking spots available in the garage. Many shops also available to frequent just walking distance to the parking garage. Great customer service at Trader Joe's and this store is fully replenished. We stopped by to pick up fresh flowers. There's plenty variety of fresh flowers. This location also carry the lavender mini totes everyone was looking for. They also have other colors being brought out by the store employees. This Trader Joe's location is now added to our go to list of stores in the Culver City area. read more

Parking was pretty easy, they have a parking lot on the same level that you enter through around the building. It's a easy quick short walk if you find a good spot! I walked in and there was a lot of staff on site, I asked to see if they had those cute pastel bags for sale right now, but they were sold out, hopefully in early May they said they will get some in :) the store was very bright and clean, even though people were stalking shelves. They had their carts and boxes in a neat and orderly manner. I really appreciate that in a store! Being able to maneuver around when people are trying to get in and out quickly it's so important for shoppers. I went in looking for some of the Trader Joe's, Sephora, dupes, apparently they make different products for different seasons, and I guess I was searching from from the summer stuff that they had made like the watermelon overnight mask. Anyhow, I ran across some fragrance, free body butter, so I'm gonna give that a try, and I was curious about their body firming Butter with glycolic acid . I have more than enough skin cream already at home so I'm gonna pass on some of the other stuff for now! I would've never known that if a staff member didn't answer that question so I'm glad they were very knowledgeable I just found out that they had a raw cheese imported from Italy that is aged from a girlfriend a couple months ago! So I was happy that I was able to easily find this! I bought the biggest chunk possible ! Next time, if I find somebody around that area, I'm gonna ask them what other raw cheeses that they carry. I tried to look for some pretty healthy snacks, I was a little disappointed that all of their dried fruit for the most part adds either sugar in it, or a seed oil like sunflower oil, or some of them add a preservative. I didn't end up buying any of them, but I did find some organic freeze dried berries! I grabbed a couple packs. I'm gonna give them a try. If anyone happens to know any super clean snacks at Trader Joe's please drop me a message! I was looking for the baby cornichons -- they're the tiny, tart pickles, kind of like mini gherkins.. a.k.a. French style pickles.. I asked one of the staff that was stalking the shelves next to me, and he was nice enough to go check if they are out of stock or when they might be getting some in because he didn't know where they were and we were looking at all the pickle shelves . but turns out they were actually out of them and they will come back in stock closer to the end of this month. I did have a random question. I was looking for some organic coconut cream and coconut milk that didn't have any gums in the ingredients .. I was actually able to find three different ones! I found one coconut cream that was organic with no gums! So I grabbed some of those I also found some coconut milk and two versions. The first version said it was reduced fat and the other one was just original and both of them had no gums and the same ingredients There was a guy stocking next to that shelf so I decided to ask him if he happen to know the random difference of why one would be reduced fat, if it's the same ingredients. He said he wasn't sure so I decided to check online because my suspicion was that they probably water one down and dilute it so it would be less fat content. And yep, I was right! So I ended up getting the normal one with more fat in it because I can add water myself if I want to, depending on the recipe . All in all, staff was really nice. I didn't have time to grab more things this trip. Checkout was quick! Turns out I didn't need to get my parking ticket validated, they said that I can park in the parking lot for free up to one hour and then there's probably a charge. ;) read more

This Trader Joe's location is nice. Always has what I'm looking for whether it's snacks, produce or craft beer. In this case I took home some cranberry juice, cheesecake ice cream bites and a soap bar. Also the staff is usually very friendly and helpful and there is also a parking lot next door for your convenience. read more

Parking is in the garage and it can get backed up. If you're trying to find popular new items, this place will most likely be sold out unless you're there right when it's stocked. This is not the easiest location to get to because it's always busy and crowded. read more

I dropped into this Trader Joe's when I was already parked in the adjacent garage for lunch at the Citizen Public Market. I love when I can knock out errands while I'm already out, and since I mostly judge Trader Joe's by their parking situations, this one gets an easy five stars. The garage is confusing if you're trying to go to the upper levels for general parking, but the ground floor is devoted to 45-minute spots for Trader Joe's customers, with one hour free, no validation necessary. I'm used to Trader Joe's with postage stamp-sized lots with no spots and no maneuverability, so this garage is like an A+ by company standards. I like Trader Joe's generally, though I usually end up shopping at the bigger markets now that I need things like Easy Mac and Stonyfield Farms yogurt smoothies. I had exactly two things on my grocery list when I went in, and I found one of them (there were blackberries, but no shallots, unless they were deep in hiding). It was a fast trip, at least, and service was friendly and efficient. I waited in a short line and it went quickly, even with two tiny ancient ladies cutting in front of me on accident. I don't tend to shop for groceries in Culver City, but I'll probably swing by this Trader Joe's whenever I'm parked in that garage. The good: I came and got snacks for my toddler so she wouldn't be upset during our longish ride home. We got the peanut puff snack and a chex mix-like snack. I love their snack selection and how they're always coming up with new products that are unique and their own. This location has a lot of fresh flower bouquets outside. This is in the downtown area. We parked a few blocks down on the street but there's also a parking garage option. I also like how their packaging is small and affordable so you can sample many new things if you're worried about committing. The bad: We got a snack mix that's similar to Chex mix but it didn't specify that there were spicy pieces inside! Luckily, my toddler only ate a couple and I figured it out before giving her more. The interesting: Joe (for whom the store's named after) died in 2020. read more

Walking through Culver City is always really fun when I know that Trader Joe's is a convenient stop I can make along the way. They do have a parking lot that's free for an hour, no parking validation necessary. I like parking here more than at other nearby parking lots because it's more spacious, although I don't know the other parking lots' validation situations. The entrance to this location is lined by their floral selection, with more flowers available inside the store. Inside, you'll see that this location is pretty spacious too. My favorite thing about them is their food is proportioned well for fewer or smaller serving sizes. This helps me to minimize food waste compared to other grocery stores where even one package of broccoli is more than I can manage during my meal prep. The staff are knowledgeable about what's newly stocked for the season and can let me know when things will be restocked next. They are always so pleasant to interact with during checkout. Overall, this is one of my favorite Trader Joe's locations and I'll continue to be a regular! read more

I love going to Trader Joe's, it's shopping without the stress. Every time I go people are nice and super helpful. Cheese and meat section never disappoint. Today however it was not very pleasant. everyone was being helpful; However, kaycee almost hated having to check us out. I understand that no one owes me a smile, but at least a "hello/thank you/ or have a good day" is in the script even if you hate the costumer. This location is smaller than others. I go here sometimes if I need to do a quick grocery shop for my Trader Joe's favorites after doing errands or grabbing coffee in Culver City. I can do a quick loop around the store to pick up some flowers, produce, frozen food, and snacks. I also like getting their cute $0.99 greeting cards. Since it has a smaller selection, it seems they don't always have new or seasonal items available right away when they're featured online or stocked at other stores. The staff is consistently friendly. They seem fully staffed because there are several registers open. The lines move quickly even when it's busy with someone usually readily available to help bag your groceries. read more

One of the best TJs I've been to. Why? Indoor parking (one hour free) -- a blessing on the hot days, spacious isles, and hard working staff!! Don't take me wrong - all TJs are pretty good but this one seems to have a bigger space so it's easy to push the carts around, and, they seem to have a bit more stock. Always love their cooked/sealed packages of meats - the carnitas is my favorite! For $5.99 you get enough for a nice meal for 2 maybe 3 people. Their heirloom tomatoes are 1/2 the price of what you might pay at Eataly and their Persian cucumbers are always fresh! Also have a nice cosmetic section where you'd fine eye creams for under $10! The only thing a bit difficult is the traffic in this area. Lots of restaurants and pedestrians all the time.... Culver Blvd and Washington are always busy so in and out may take a while. read more

Definitely love this location! Easily in walking distance from the Metro Expo line and has an actual parking garage, which is a rare treat for TJs fans like myself. After going through their affordably beautiful flowers to decorate with, enjoyed this spacious location with all its healthy options. I didn't interact with staff other than checkout, but it was early on a weekday morning when I was here, so the location was "empty" by TJ standards and shopped with ease. This Trader Joe's gets five stars from me because they have one of the best COVID-19 protocols I've ever experienced since the start of this pandemic. They have line markers every six feet to get into the store and the same to get in line for checkout. They even have the person checking out stand six feet back while they're being rung up, which not every Trader Joe's does. They have arrows on the floor guiding you through the store in a single-file to limit crowding in aisles. I wish all stores were like this. It shows consideration towards their customers as well as their employees. I'd highly recommend this Trader Joe's. read more

I overheard some cashiers helping other customers and there was just an over all helpful and kind tone amongst people. **Still slaying it** By far, the most easy to access and expedient TJs on the westside. Don't get me wrong; all TJ employees are great, but at this particular location, they just seem to really go the extra length for their customers. Lines move quickly and they are always very kind and attentive. Like I mentioned in a previous review, the parking is plentiful and there's 45 minutes of free parking. I live up the street from this Trader Joe's location and walk there at least five days a week. The emplyees are really friendly, always helpful and genuinely seem like they want to be at work. They definitely run out of items at times, but that's to be expected being that it's in dowtown Culver and the high demand for their stellar products. This location has an especially good selection of flowers. Whenever I want to give someone a nice gift, I go and pick out some flowers and arrange a bouquet. You guys kind of got it together with getting rid of the clam packaging for the Persian cucumbers...but you're still adding more wasteful items?? Like, this is 2023. Unnecessary plastic packaging is a fat turn off. It's nothing out of the ordinary in comparison to other Trader Joe's. They pretty much have the same items as most TJ's stores have. The one up they have on others, though!? Guaranteed free parking. They are located next door to a parking structure. Free first hour. It IS a big deal. (At least for me!) Scouting for parking around here during peak hours can be a nightmare! (Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit, but... STILL!) As with other TJ's, the store was clean and very organized. The entire area was quite airy and open. I don't live around the area, but I was around for lunch nearby. I needed a few things from their store, and with Yelp to the rescue, it was a nice surprise to find one close to where I was coming from. Their items are a hit or miss. Ask for a recommendation from people you know before buying. Some of their ice cream options are downright gross because they don't use milk (ahem their mochi kind). Their pancake coffee loaf is also underwhelming. Apparently, they have a satisfaction guarantee but i never bothered. Some of their good stuff they discontinued and left me with sadness! The curry chicken pot pie that came in a quantity of 2! Their smores in the square clear container! Their cheese and jalapeño tamale from the frozen aisle! Get their sliced brioche in a loaf and their foccacia bread that isn't cut up. Their everything smoked salmon. Their peaches and cream, bananas and cream, and strawberries and cream yogurt. Hours are great, there's parking, the fantastic TJ products (so many to choose from) and the legendary check out personnel - it makes the experience sooo easy and enjoyable. Always get the cobb salad and no fail the staff asks me if I want fork/s for this - notwithstanding the other choices from bison jerky to turkey sticks to salsa of various iterations. Whilst the prices are a bit more than Safeway, most of the time it's worth it, and you can trust the quality and freshness of the offerings (I even had one associate replace one of the salads I had brought to the register since it was one day before expiration, and she knew there were newer salads there). The TJs in my hood. The underground parking is a bit of a pain when it's crowded (you wait in line while cars park in front of you), but there's almost always a place. 5:00 on a Sunday. Sheesh. Really crowded. But the cashiers are still smiling, and aside from crashing into a couple of carts, I got in and out without a hitch. They have a great selection of nuts and cereal. I'm trying to go vegan so I appreciate all the choices. I noticed one of the reviews said you have to pay for parking. No, it's free for an hour. Maybe they charged when they first opened. read more

I love Trader Joe's. And Despite the worst experience I've had at this particular Trader Joe's, ill still love Trader Joe's. But in order to continue to love Trader Joe's I'll probably need to stop visiting this culver location. I always frequent the Beverly Hills Trader Joe's and they have the BEST staff and BEST covid 19 protocol. Very easy to understand and signs that help direct traffic in the right direction. The west Chester location is also great. This location at culver however has the worst social distancing guidelines and there's no one and no signs that explain what to do. (If they do, it's not doing it's job of capturing customers attention). How do you expect a customer to know where to stand and that you need to stay in the square that you're standing while the cashier is ringing up? DONT EXPECT people to just know and don't assume that everyone coming through those doors are repeat customers. (Although youre six feet apart in the square confined like a prisoner as the cashier scolds you the moment you step out.. I hope you realize there's no partition/plexiglass that is probably more safe for the cashier) I wouldn't have an issue if the cashier ringing me up (didn't get his name but he was working at express line on 9/21/2020 at around 6:05 pm) wasn't rude about the situation. All you have to do is explain nicely bro! Also, after you say the total, it's ok at that point to walk in front of you to pay with a credit card?! Makes no sense! Also, I don't mind but I'm sure there's other customers that like to see what's being scanned. To local management and field leadership, please address the social distancing guidelines at this location and train your staff better. I feel like the culture of this store is definitely subpar to the other locations. It starts from the top and trickles down. I'm confused as to how some of these ratings are so good. I do notice that it was great and recent reviews have been worse. It's probably a sign Trader Joe's Culver City. read more
