So nice to have one of these in my local area and across from my massage place. I haven't heard a bad thing from anybody about this place but if I have to say anything bad, it's the choice of vegetables and fruits....although you could find sliced up packaged ones for those who don't have time to prepare. Parking lot as this location is ample unlike some locations I know. My favorite items to buy are chicken apple sausage (these sell out quickly so we stock up a few), buffalo mozarella and pomegranate non-fat greek yogurt. Trader Joe's offers reasonable and unique food items. The mailer is immense with words and it's not your typical local grocery colorful store circular. Too bad they don't attach a coupon like 10% off your total order....oh...that's me talking marketing....I'm a marketer. I guess they are doing so well that they don't need to offer "marketing" deals. oh.. just discovered this at this store, if you have kids, the kids can ask for a free balloon of their color choice. read more

When I first came to college I had a hard time finding reasonably priced organic and interesting food. I grew up with parents who only shopped at farmer's markets and Whole Foods but those places are so expensive. Trader Joe's is my happy medium. This Trader Joe's has a excellent selection. I can get all of my favorites like the jabanero hot sauce, banana chips, spicy tortilla chips, organic soda, and delicious pre-made salads. The prices are really good, similarly priced to a normal grocery store. The staff is also incredibly nice, especially the cashiers. It's always a pleasant surprise to have friendly cashiers. Yes, the parking isn't great and the selection is on the small side. I kept running into people with my cart and I had to wait a long time in certain sections while people made their selections but honestly it's worth it for me. I wouldn't go here if I were in a rush but if you're looking to try some new things, check it out. read more

Everyone who works at this location is super nice - and I generally have a great experience - but the last few times I've been there they have been out of some staples that I go specifically to get there - like their Coconut Milk and Cookie Butter ! I have to start off by saying, if I could give it 3.5 stars I would. Since my rating a place with 4 starts is like most people's 5's, you get the point. I find the choices to be plentiful. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. The lines usually move along nicely and I do like just jamming my cart next to the register without having to unload it. The prices for what they sell is mostly good, but be careful...you can actually get a few things cheaper at Whole Foods. Yes, I know that sounds nuts, but think about it. The Peanut Butter Panda Puffs that I buy for my kids sells a ton more at Whole Foods so they can keep their cost down. My two complaints are very specific to me. I wish they had more organic food. They have a lot, but they are less discriminant when it comes to this kind of stuff than other stores catering to the eco\health conscious consumer. Also, they need to stop offering plastic bags as an option for bagging. That said, I so really like it here. read more

My biggest complaint with this place is the location. It's the.worst. Parking is horrrrrible and once you've found a spot, when your ready to get out it is a nightmare. Trader Joe's is conveniently located in the center of town so I go there often. The employees are friendly and normally helpful, and the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to King's across the street. Plus, they have a lot of good food that's easy to prepare. I also like the fact that everything in the store bearing the "Trader Joe's" name is non-GMO. Yay! The last thing that I want to eat is food containing Monsanto's franken-wheat. My main only complaint about this TJs is their inventory management. They run out of stuff all the time. It's so annoying. IMO, brown rice is the sort of staple that should ALWAYS be in stock. I readily admit I like the Westfield store more.It sells wine and beer and I like to buy there now again because the selection is often interesting and the prices good.That said, you have your usual run of reasonably priced Trader Joe's products .A good place to buy coffee, olive oil,certain toiletries and some good frozen foods.Not bad for cheese.Let me note this place , at times , has a really weird , rude clientele that can make the shopping experience less than exhilarating.On the other hand, I like the stores employees , who seem decent sorts.I wonder at times how they stand the clientele. read more

First off, what IDIOT allowed this strip mall to house EIGHT RESTAURANTS with limited parking? Seriously stupid decision and thats the drawback. You will have to HUNT FOR A SPACE if its near lunchtime 11-2 ish. great helpful staff makes shopping easier. where do they find these nice folk? the food is decent, some is low priced, some high when you look at the price per pound. I love the ready made meals such as stuffed peppers and chicken picatta. good frozen veggie and fresh veggie selections. Trader Joe's has moved across the street to a smaller location. There is much less parking, but you can always park in front of another store. Unfortunately, goods are organized much less logically than before. I keep having to hunt for the new products shelves, search for my curry sauce and chocolate and lean up and over shelves. The chocolate is perched on top of the frozen foods (the shelf above) which makes no sense to me at all! Half the time I forget something, half the time I come home with something I don't need. I have no idea if they do this on purpose! The layout in the other store was more logical and I never had an issue finding items. I think they do this on purpose and follow the "IKEA" concept: The home furnishing chain's mazy layouts are a psychological weapon to part shoppers from their cash, an expert in store design claims. Now the refrigerated items are hodge-podged across the walls and grated cheeses are in a different refrigerator from wedged cheeses which are in a different refrigerator from cheese slices/cheese sticks. Try and do shopping when you have to hunt for three different cheeses through three different refrigerators. I think the old store had one refrigerator that said "CHEESE" on it and held (bizarrely enough, CHEESE). That worked for me! The rest of the store held on to these principles of obvious labeling. TJ's stopped giving away the balloons (due to latex allergies) and now give kids stickers (which kids seem to enjoy more!) They used to have huge signs about how their products have no GMOs (Genetically Modified) ingredients. Those signs have disappeared, so I hope that this is still their policy. Otherwise, off to the health-food shoppe! We still love Trader's, though, and will keep buying their organic foods. They are far cheaper than Whole Foods. Products we especially like are the "healthy" cat treats, scratching posts, tortillas, Mediterranean hummus, Lobster Bisque, Gyoza (pork, chicken and shrimp), organic chicken broth, organic ketchup, organic milk, organic Greek yoghurt, organic apples, CLIF bars (organic for kids), fresh pastas and organic tomato sauces. read more

I come here after work once a week or so. All the workers here are friendly and very helpful unlike the bigger grocery stores. I usually buy random groceries here. So I don't usually do all my major grocery shopping since they don't have a large selection like bigger stores would. I have to complement TJs for their pet foods because of the good quality ingredients. Some minor complaints: - I have noticed from time to time that some items I am looking for are missing or the sign for it may be missing. - I wish they sold some items more in bulk, such as pet foods, annoying buying 20 single cans - I've noticed with some of their items the packaging can be quite frustrating and difficult to open. But I guess that's more of an overall TJ complaint, rather than this specific store. read more

I've never had one problem with the staff as they are all very friendly. 3.5 stars to be exact. The good: - very clean location, which is very well stocked anytime i have been there. I tend to drop in on my lunch hour to get some grocery shopping in when I don't feel like being raped by the prices at other local grocery stores in the area (i.e. kings). -Samples are always well stocked and given out by very upbeat employees, then again i know thats pretty much a requirement to work at TJ's. Also, you never feel like you're inconveniencing anyone when asking for an item's location. -checkout always moves quickly. This even goes for the rush of the lunch hour shoppers. -prices are reasonable and plenty of natural foods to choose from. the not-so-good: -the organic food selection could stand to be a little better (in terms of produce) but, hey, I know it's not whole foods. -the parking situation is pretty miz. be ready to fight for a spot if you're going at peak time. Especially being located in a strip mall, you're bound to have to do a few loops to find a spot. The takeaway: -if you're in the area and want to grab a few items for a reasonable price and do not want the overwhelming experience that larger grocery stores have to offer, definitely check this TJ's out. Plenty of items to appeal to many varieties of tastebuds on top of service with a genuine smile rather. read more

I love trader joes! This place is wonderful! Sometimes I sneak away on my lunch break to grab a snack, explore the store or do some grocery shopping. The food is also reasonably priced too. The staff is really really nice and helpful. I've had a situation before where I thought my food tasted weird after I bought it and called them and they said okay! Parking here is tough, but that doesn't keep me from shopping at this location! They always have the best seasonal foods - including all the pumpkin items you could desire! The store is clean with nice and knowledgeable staff members. Lately, I have found them to be more helpful than usual, especially when searching for items that are in tough to find spots or popular items that get purchased off the racks quickly! You can also "reserve" popular items when they are out of stock or just call in everyday until they are in! It's pretty fabulous. I know all Trader Joe's are similar, but this one really is nice to shop at! read more

Discovered this gem near my new office and this news has me uber-delighted. I always love me some Trader Joe's and this one is really no exception. The Kobe beef burgers are AWESOME (in frozen section), especially over some arugula salad mix and a splash of their Gorgonzola, cranberries and walnut dressing (so stay away from this if you have a nut allergy). And all of this will come out under $10 - yes, Kobe beef for under $10 and they're 2 whopping-sized patties too. Their sampling area is so good, but bad for me. Each time I pass by, I cannot resist trying whatever they have on display and then on top of that, I also end up buying those add'l ingredients (usually a combination of 3 or 4 TJ items). Totally didn't have "beef-less" meat on my agenda, but now after I tried it in a croissan-wich, I gotta have that, plus the flaky buttermilk croissants, plus the specialty marinara sauce too. read more

I have been shopping here at the Florham Park T.J. for over 15 years and most everything is good EXCEPT their Chicken Breast Strips for dogs. I apparently have had multiple dogs get sick and 1 almost die resulting in over $8000.00 total in suffering and vet/hospital bills. I have informed them twice now that multiple vets have strongly suspected these Chicken Breast Strips for causing severe pancreatitis, high fever, throwing up, stomach pain etc. in my 3 dogs. They don't even know where the meat comes from. The biggest problem I have and the reason for writing this is after telling them a second time they still left them on the shelf for others to buy. Why don't they at least pull them from the shelves and investigate or discontinue use altogether? That is most disturbing and please do not buy them for your pets! read more

I love this Trader Joe's for so many reasons. First, the food they offer by Trader Joe's brand is the best quality and the most inexpensive, especially compared to name brand foods at other grocery stores. Second, the size of the store is relatively small, making it easy and quick to shop or grab a single item if needed. Third, the staff is outstanding. The cashiers are very friendly and talkative and the staff walking around the store is more than happy to help you find something. Also, they have free samples and always free coffee and often times, I will buy the food after tasting it. The shelves are very well stocked, they are rarely out of an item I need. The only downside to this store is the small fresh meat and fish section, there are not many options but there are definitely enough. Also, the parking situation is often difficult at this plaza. I would avoid going on a Saturday morning, it gets CRAZY busy and the check out lines get pretty long. Otherwise, I would rather do my entire grocery shop here than anywhere else! read more

I love the affordable organic fruits and veggies, and multitude of snacks without preservatives. The Trader Joe's marinara sauce is incredible too.The plethora of organic soups without preservatives offered by Trader Joe's preservatives is a staple in my home too. The staff at TJ is friendly, caring, and always willing to help if I can't find something or need a suggestion. The store is clean and constantly re-stocks with fresh food items. I make at least two trips to TJ per week. The only negative is the awful parking situation. Parking is difficult anytime of the day that I come. I always fear backing up when pulling out of a spot since people seem to walk into moving cars in this very busy parking lot. But this won't stop me from shopping at my favorite "grocery" type store. read more

I am obsessed with the Pollo Asado and the Brisket - 2 of my all time grilling favorites . This store moved to a larger space, but it seems like the aisles are still crowded. The good news is the checkout is pretty easy, and everyone here is so nice and pleasant. I haven't experienced the parking angst that others describe, but call me lucky. Love this location, especially when compared to the Manhattan locations, mainly because of lines. This location rarely has very long lines (mainly during evening rush hour times, which is expected). Still, long lines here aren't the out-the-door-down-the-block lines of Manhattan. Lines don't even get long enough to reach the aisles. The staff is friendly and helpful (seems to be that way at all locations), and the selection of products is quite good. The one crazy thing about the whole shopping center is how difficult it can sometimes be to find parking, even at 2pm on a Wednesday. The lot is pretty big, but can fill up something awful at the most unexpected times. read more

The staff at this Trader Joe's is incredibly helpful and cheerful. I stopped by on a Monday evening after work to pick up a few snacks for lunch the next couple of days and was delighted to find the shelfs full of fresh prepackaged salads that are perfect for lunches!! This was my go-to Trader Joe's when I lived in nearby Madison. I miss it. It's never too busy and there is always parking available. The customers are civilized and pleasant. The employees are very helpful and friendly as most Trader Joe employees are. I once was looking for unsalted crunchy almond butter for a few weeks so I asked an employee. They looked it up on their computer and told me when the next delivery was so I could come back on or about that day. Sure enough it was there when I came back. With the craziness that goes on at the Millburn and Westfield locations, I may just come back to this one even though it's out of the way. read more

I would be more of a fan if it wasn't for the customers. Not sure if it's the layout or what but of all the TJ's I go to this one has the most people standing in the way consistently hindering you from actually food shopping. I think people go there just to look at food and kill some time. I actually once saw someone giving a tour, no really a tour, to a friend of theirs. "This is where they keep the frozen food. I like their frozen fish. See on the label here...". They had two carts, a cart in front and a cart behind the two and successfully took up a whole section of frozen food to talk and point at stuff, not shop. I wish I had taped this bizarre moment. Again, not the stores fault. And I passed this discourtesy of customers off as a fluke. But every time the people are just rude and act as if they are the only people there. It's a food store, not a museum. Not to sure who wants to spend their evenings food shopping. The staff are always helpful and super nice. Great, expanded location. The store has moved across the street from its older location. It's larger and brighter and all-around better. There is certainly more produce, but more importantly, there is an expanded refrigerated, freezer and dry section stocking the Trader Joe's staple items. I cannot resist the cookie butter and I buy it as a treat for my students: getting a new generation hooked on the creamy stuff. The staff is always helpful and personable. Sure things are pricey here, but the selection is top notch. From pre-made frozen interesting meals to weird sauces and spices, Trader Joe's has earned it's fanatical fans. This location sadly doesn't carry the store brand wine or beer which are actually pretty good. Oddly though, they had a live band for the holidays so I guess that counts for something. Bonus points for having cart that you can strap a car seat into for infants. The rows are a bit cramped and it gets crowded, but the hunt can be worth it for the treasures you may find. read more

i love that theres a TJs on my route to work and after work. my wallet, on the other hand, does not. how can you not love TJs??? this one in particular has one of the friendliest cashiers and managers i've ever interacted with! this is your typical TJs .. so imagine everything from fruit to frozens to seasonal items to chips and bread, cards, chocolate, plants, etc. can't go wrong with this TJs! the only annoying thing is parking. you have to park a bit aways bc everybody is always vying for those spots but the walk isnt too bad! PROTIP: if you dont like something, bring it back. u dont have to have a receipt for it! however, they give you back store credit (which is nbd bc i shop there all the time anyway). PROTIP: not dog friendly on the inside. but i dont think any TJs is. :( read more

Pretty good store. I've been to better Trader Joe's before. While they do have an excellent selection of frozen food, that doesn't help me because I don't have a freezer (or a kitchen). Selection on other items is rather limited, and the good stuff seems to sell out quickly. While I was there I overheard a customer complaining because they were sold out of brown rice. Prepared foods and produce looked tempting but seemed pricey. I still go here but only try to look for specialty items that I can't find at the regular grocery store, or if I want a treat. read more
