Twas four days before Christmas when all through our apartment we searched here and there in hopes that we could locate the receipts for all the gift cards we had purchased for our kids as part of their Christmas gifts. But with no location of those receipts off to Traders, I returned with all six TJ's gift cards in hopes that the receipts could be recreated. After J explained my predicament to the Manager he smiled and wirh a wink said "follow me this way" and to the nearest register we arrived and as I handed him each gift card I heard him exclaim this ones $25 and this ones $50 until he had identified each Thank you Captain Mike the Store Manager for all your help back then. Hello there, This message is to inform to you about the experience that I was encountered for this location on 05/21/2026. The store associate was assisting me her name is Kendra. She comes across very nasty. Kendra is very unprofessional for using that tone of voice to tell me that she is talking and I needed to listen? I was trying to explain to her that I am buying for others. No attitudes from me there. Employees aren't management, she isn't running the show. It is unfortunate to deal with someone that doesn't have their emotions regulate. Especially while you are working dealing with customers. She seemed to be unhappy every time I came in. She is completely inappropriate, I could imagine people like her creating toxic and hostile environments for people at work. While is imperative to hired the right people on the team. Your people's behaviors reflecting the company brand name. Prior to this incident the same lady that response to my call. I was inquiring about the new shipping for the bags coming in. She is flat out telling me doesn't have time to go to the floor and look it up. I've been to several locations this one is the most judgmental and condescending ever. I didn't know these poor behaviors still existed in an operations. I'll give it zero if they do exist. This particular Trader Joe's seemed a bit larger than average. But mostly it seemed the staple items were more spread out. I couldn't really spot additional items unique to the store. The wine selection seemed more diverse. And I say that this even though my home Trader Joe's is in Napa. The store seemed pretty crowded to me for a Tuesday at noon. If this is any indication it must be mobbed after 5 pm. That would also explain why the inventory is more spread out and why the shelves held more product. Service was the usual brisk pace. TJ's is my favorite store for the kind of supplies I need and for their good personal service. However, I have recently bought Multigrain crackers there and the last 2 times about 1/2 the bags had crumbled crackers. This has happened when I had guests to serve. I have a photo but don't know how to attach it. Otherwise I would give TJ's a 5 star for service - but this problem limits my visits. read more

This Trader Joe's is very close to where I live. Love that convenience to just go get things in a jiffy. The staff is helpful and always have enough counters such that the wait isn't a lot even during busy periods. Their vegetables and salads are top notch and I love to buy plants for them. This TJ's location has a better parking lot than most. There are even some shady spots. The flowers are very good here too, better than other locations. Overall, it reflects the wealthy community where it is located with a better overall experience. That said, much like any TJ's this LG location is often very crowded and busy, especially during peak times like weekdays between 3-6PM and weekends. If I had an open schedule, I would try to shop here between noon-2pm on a weekday to avoid the long lines and busy crowds. This traders Joe carry a variety of mochi ice cream. It's a small store filled with a lot of fresh produce and fresh flowers. Also bought some fresh corn on the cob here. They were sweet. Ample parking as well. read more

I love the selection of food and new items that keep coming into the store. It can be a little crowded on Sundays and Mondays, so likely avoid those days. I do! I'm never embarrassed to return an item if it's not quality after opening, for example, a bag of Brussels sprouts. They never question the return. Love that! Thank you! You know this Trader Joe's is in a nice part of Los Gatos however I have heard that people are often targeted here so watch your wallets and your purses and don't be leaving it in your shopping carts. Came here right after going to Whole Foods & not finding anything I wanted there for lunch. It's raining the doors at Trader Joe's we're wide open when I walked in I was confused why it looked like shipment was happening. I assume who stopped me was the store manager & said we don't open till 9 am, I apologized because I truly thought they'd be open after 8 like most grocery stores and since the doors were open. As I get back into my car I see them close the doors to the store & than that's when I was able to see the store hours on the door. When doors were open I couldn't see it & honestly the way he approached me was a little rude. Tip: to avoid this in the future since most grocery stores open at 8 am & don't have time to look online hours up. If the doors were closed I would of been able to see the time on the door. Also, doors shouldn't be open if all shipment is already in the store to avoid this confusion for customers. I was honestly on a hunt for the mochi Ube pancake mix that came out last spring, and quickly ran out. Lol I was pleasantly surprised as I walked into this Los Gatos Trader Joe's, and smelled the sweet aroma of all the fresh fruit! As I went up and down the isles I found a few things that I hadn't seen at other locations, so perhaps Trader Joe's is somewhat like Costco, where they only get things that will sell to certain areas? Hopefully somebody from Trader Joe's will reply back to this. Hee Anyways, as I walked up to the baking aisle, I found what I was looking for!! Ube pancake mix!! I am gluten-free and don't eat eggs due to earth, lovely food allergy, so every year I find this lovely delight, I stock up on boxes enough for the next year! Sad to say, but this particular Los Gatos location has a two box limit! I'm completely understanding since last year people were selling them on eBay for $10! Goodness, inflation online! I don't agree with that, but I do have a number of food allergies Like gluten, egg, as well as chocolate, peanuts, and well you name it! I was happy to purchase two boxes here and with ease!!! I will be back again later in the week to get two more boxes so I can eat pancakes all year long because Trader Joe's waffle/pancake mix that is gluten-free gets boring nine months out of the year! My go to for a quick shopping stop. They always have exactly what I need and I don't have to search because of the small but capable footprint of this location. Today Melinda helped us find what we needed. She recommended olive oil which we bought and love. She recommended two kinds of tomatoes, so we bought both. Really tired of seeing recalls for items like "pieces of metal" found in Trader Joe's Multigrain Crackers" (see Aug 31, 2023 FoodSafetyNews.com), which impacted my family, and now "plastic" in Trader Joe's Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings (see photo from store) which we, apparently, narrowly missed. I feel like a) these are NOT contaminants I ever expect to be entering my food, especially products like crackers and frozen food and b) maybe Trader Joe's corporate has gone too far pushing suppliers for low cost deals. I'd be willing to pay slightly more not to have see recalls like these with such frequency. That's twice now in less than one year at this store. read more

Their raw materials area is bleak and lacking and yet, bizarrely enough, they will carry oddly-specific items like canned young jackfruit. But yet heaven forbid one should look for something as commonplace as cinnamon sticks?! This TJ's has all the usual stuff one expects from a TJ's in a rather cramped location―even by TJ's standards. The parking lot is a shit-show but that's ok with me as I usually walk here due to the proximity to my abode. Staff is the usual friendly TJ's employees, and are fairly helpful. If you've been to one TJ's then you've been to them all and this one is no different. I like coming here because it's pretty convenient since I'll go to Whole Foods and then swing by this Trader Joe's to get some other things on my list. Although I've gotten some Atlantic Cod here which was not expired on the package but when I opened it the smell was so foul I knew it was bad. I went to return it and even they couldn't stand it either LOL. Anyways two more times I've gotten some fish here and both times it was slimy and discolored, with an off smell, which means it's probably not safe to eat and unfortunately it's not very convenient for me to have to come all the way back to return it since I'm closer to the Saratoga location on Prospect Road , so I just ended up tossing it out. At least now I know not to get fish there. I'm really not sure why this is happening but maybe they don't stalk it right away when they get the delivery. I'm wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem. All I know is I'm not taking any chances here with getting fish. read more

This is my go-to store for groceries. It's close to our place and I love it. The prices are so affordable and lots of organic options--especially when it comes to produce. This store is small and it's kind of a pain to have to run to another store since TJ doesn't carry everything I need. But that's okay. No big deal. I love Trader Joe's and I love this particular location. Parking is pretty easy as there is a huge lot. You may have to walk a little bit but there are plenty of of spots usually available at lunch time (1215pm) and after work (5pm). Everything is very organized and super clean. They always have samples in the back with the items used right there as well. Everything is laid out really well and the employees there are all friendly and open to helping you. There are quite a few cashiers making all the lines go pretty quick and everyone is very nice. read more

Trader Joe's is the best grocery store chain I have ever been to. It was love at first sight in 1990 in Rancho Palos Verdes. Unfortunately, the quality of produce has been horrendous at this store including bad sweet onions, butter lettuce, and arugula. Also, I have been finding expired meat for sale. COVID update - As if I didn't love them enough, TJ's is an exceptional model for how to handle social distancing policies. They really are on top of it. Spaced out markers on the ground, short lines that move quickly (can't say this for other locations), hand sanitizer when you walk through the door, kind staff who wear their masks properly, etc. (now if only customers would do the same...). Major kudos for trying to keep yourselves and all of us safe during this difficult time. read more

This location has ample parking and super friendly employees. Product wise, I'm a big fan of their edamame hummus, sweet Italian chicken sausage, fresh chicken tenders, sourdough english muffins, lavash bread, frozen naan, frozen breaded chicken, persian cucumbers, marinated artichokes, canned chicken for chicken salad sandwiches, certain wines, lemon curd, jalapeno artichoke dip... and they have great prices on eggs, milk and cheese. Since shelter in place has started, this is my favorite Trader Joe's to frequent. They are very well organized, the staff is friendly, and the line moves quickly. I appreciate that a manager comes out to give an update while we wait in line. I was there today and compared to other shopping experiences this one is very low stress. They offer sanitizer in and on your way out of the store. Also, I wanted to note that they are now allowing reusable bags, however they are to be kept in the cart. They will then bag your groceries for you outside of the store. I think that this is an amazingly flexible response to protocols that keep changing. read more

Generally, Trader Joe's is awesome and has a great variety of items. However, consistently at this particular location, the staff is pretty rude. When I check out l, I usually help with bagging of items but here they expect you to bag while they basically wait for you to bag everything. They don't even say thank you for helping out.
