I've also had fun conversations when I go through checkout, so friendly! Unique Finds | I always find unique items to try throughout the store, as well as my usual favorites, including: walnuts, almonds, caramelized onions & cheddar cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Thai veggie gyoza, Japanese style fried rice & don't even get me started on the peanut butter cups...yummy!! I never shopped at a Trader Joe's until being turned on by a friend last year. This is a beautifully structured facility with excellent help and assistance from there well qualified staff of employees. My only criticism is the awful layout of the parking lot and the way carriages are stored. Deliveries are ,made street side and getting a space is very narrow and difficult. The inside offers wide aisles with great selections. The meat area needs to be expanded and they should offer hot food takeout and other offerings. I spent about $114 on Monday evening and they should also offer some Rewards program like RALPH'S and they should accept coupons too. Nevertheless, the quality of the food is first rate and they really need to offer more cleaning supplies. If they did, all of my shopping would be here and not AMAZON. This has to be the best Trader Joe's location in America. Situated right next to Marina Del Rey and the big REI store it offers a Hollywood style experience. First of all, it's huge. Way bigger than your average store. Even before you enter you're greeted by rows and rows of flowers, fruit, vegetables all artfully arranged like a magazine shoot. The customers are the coolest, hippest most beautiful group you've ever seen. You almost wish you could pull up a chair and just people watch. Staff all as helpful and friendly as you'd expect. Best part is the store has tables and chairs outside to sit and watch the boats. It's right on the bike path so I'll be stopping often. read more

Great store great employees, except, today, 5/27/26, at about 11 a. m., there was a woman, in the store, walking around with a little dog. An employee stared at her, from a distance, as I caught his eye. I didn't see nor hear, any employee, remind the dog owner, that dogs are not allowed in the store, with service dogs exempt, not emotional support dogs. There is a sign outside. This needs to be enforced. read more

I come into this trader joe's almost weekly and yesterday was just a hard day and I had to use a wheelchair. The employee Megan went completely above and beyond and walked me almost all the way around the store helping me find and reach things I couldn't. Not only that but after I was done she carried my groceries to the parking lot and loaded them in my car. Absolutely made my day and was such a nice young lady. read more

Came out to explore the marina and came into Trader Joe's to grab lunch rather than blow 30 bucks in a restaurant. What I love about this store is you can get the same products that I get in New York and they taste the same. It wasn't crowded and lines were fast. Like most Trader Joe's, this location is a bit of a love/hate relationship for me. The parking lot is chaotic at best (tight spaces, constant traffic), and the store itself can get very, very busy, especially during peak hours. That said, once I'm inside, it's everything I love about Trader Joe's... Great selection, fresh produce, and all of the fun seasonal items that make shopping here a little adventure. The staff is friendly and efficient and I usually find everything I need...plus a few impulse buys I didn't plan on. While the parking and crowds can be a headache, the quality, variety, and value make it worth navigating. Trader Joes saved my life..so to speak. I purchased some green hydrangeas from a local florist and in 2 days they were starving for something. I had just visited TJ's in the Marina after an event I had and guess what they had plenty of. So that next morning I got up early to pick up a few bunches, got to my other event and I had time to cut them and place them in the beautiful vases. TJ saved the day!! read more

I have visited several Trader Joes locations and I have to say this is one of the best locations I have visited so far. The store is located next to the waterfront at the Marina. The store is clean and well stocked but smaller in size compared to other stores. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is very challenging with limited spaces and only two ways to get in/out. read more

On August 5, 2025, I entered Trader Joe's in Marina del Rey with my small dog in the cart, as I've seen other customers do with their dogs (on leashes, in purses, etc.) without signage prohibiting it. An employee, Yuri, approached me aggressively, yelling that my dog couldn't be in the store and wasn't a service animal. I explained that my dog is trained to alert me when my phone vibrates for medication reminders, but he dismissed this without asking about its role and demanded I leave, offering no alternatives like leashing the dog, which I would have done to comply. I agreed to leave but asked to take Yuri's photo for documentation. He consented and posed with his badge visible (see photo). As I walked to my car, Yuri followed me into the parking lot, recorded me and my dog with his phone, and acted in a way that felt threatening. I asked him to stop recording due to my discomfort, but he continued. I recorded him as well to ensure my safety. This escalation shocked me, especially since I've shopped here often and seen dogs welcomed. I'm disappointed by this unprofessional behavior, which seems inconsistent with Trader Joe's pet-friendly reputation and the typically friendly demeanor of their associates. I have contacted corporate about this incident and hope they address it to ensure fair treatment, especially for customers with service animals. P.S. The attached photo shows Yuri posing voluntarily for documentation, as I requested. He later claimed he chased me to scare me into deleting the photo, which I find concerning and inconsistent with his initial consent. read more

Trader Joe's in Marina del Rey is such a gem with it being tucked next to the harbor with those gorgeous waterfront views that makes grocery shopping feel way more peaceful than it should. The location itself has this chill, coastal energy that instantly puts you in a good mood. Staff are super friendly, shelves are well-stocked, and the store's always clean and organized. Decent parking (a rare win in LA & trader joe's ). Whether I'm grabbing a quick snack or doing a full haul, this TJ's makes the whole experience feel like a breezy walk by the marina. This store is right on the water at the marina which is nice. They have tables outside if you ever want to grab a packaged salad or wrap and enjoy it outside right on the water. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They always make an effort to make conversation when you check out at the registers. The selection is nice. The frozen food section has a lot of variety. The store is clean and well stocked. This is one of my favorite TJs in the LA area, and I'm glad I live so close to it! This place has gone downhill since the male manager left. The floor used to be better staffed so you could actually find employees to help you find things. They used to all seem so happy to be there. Nowadays there are not enough people on the floor to help. It looks like the employees are rushed or stressed to get things done. Probably because they are short staffed. I think the new manager is female. This Trader Joe's has really gone downhill since she joined. She seems to have an attitude with the employees. We are happy to see some of the longtime team members still around but we are nervous that they are going to start quitting if the female manager keeps it up. read more

Easily one of the most beautiful Trader Joe's locations as it's located in the marina overlooking the water and beautiful boats. The parking, however, is horrendous. The spots aren't large enough for my compact car and it's so small and packed. The store itself is also miniature in comparison to the Trader Joe's in other areas. I was constantly running into people and having to move my cart so it wasn't an enjoyable shopping experience. Felt like I couldn't browse or check out the food because I and others were always in each others way. Most of the products are there but some of the featured stuff at bigger stores didn't seem to be there. I wish Trader Joe's had more locations in the area as the two here are too small for how many people go. read more

Terrible experience at Trader Joe's today. Very sad. I came in with my service dog (approved by a doctor) when this random lady approached me and started harassing me about my dog. I politely told her to leave us alone. Then moments later a manager comes up to me and also harassed me about my dog. I told her I could provide a note and she ignores me and asked me what service the dog provides. I again offered her a note. This went back and forth until I decided to just leave my stuff and get out. Will never be visiting this store again or any Trader Joe's at that point if their management does endorses a "policy" which is relative to complaints of Karen's and has no respect for the care guide of my doctor. read more

I love this Trader Joe's! It's so special, peaceful, and located in a beautiful area. Try the ORGANIC dried mangoes; they are incredibly good! This TJ quite possibly has the nicest location of any TJ store, being adjacent to the boats in the Marina. Buy a salad, eat outside and look at your yacht! The store itself is spacious and has a good selection. The staff is terrific- friendly and helpful, in the TJ tradition. They sometimes run out of items, but that's a problem for all the TJ stores. Parking can sometimes be a problem, as the lot can fill up quickly. But overall this is an excellent TJ. read more

I normally don't do grocery stores (with rare exceptions of bad experience or what I'm about to say. A grocery store doesn't have much to it), but feel I have to leave a response, due to reading factually incorrect reviews claiming there's a lack of parking. It's got 4 (I believe parking zones). The parking spot in front (obviously). The one across the street. There's another parking lot in from of the TJ parking lot. There's a parking lot behind Trader Joe's next to the REI (I do this one all the time). You just can't take carts outside the TJ lot. There is 2 hour free validation where the manager desk is for lots around TJ (after it gets expensive). Just scan your ticket and you're good. It does have the best parking for TJ LA due to this (with the view). Unfortunately, some do not know this and only park in the TJ lot. The view is the best of the TJ too. Eating lunch there is nice. read more

While the actual Trader Joe's is wonderfully upscale with wider pathways to shop, the parking lot is a complete epic failure. They need to have a crew directing traffic in their lot. Two people cut in ahead of me waiting for a parking space where someone was pulling out! I almost went "Madea" on them, but a cooler head prevailed, thank goodness. I'll stick with my Trader Joes on Sepulveda in Westchester next door to Panera Bread. Everyone in that store is genuinely happy to be working there. read more

As gorgeous of a spot it's at and being walkable for me, and me already being a TJ's fan, this TJs has been my go to for groceries or even just meals for me when I was just a wife, and now mom. The ONLY complaint I have is parking but like my best friend says, what TJS doesn't have shitty parking? At least we get to struggle with parking with a view. For the applauses, thank you so much for having a gorgeous view and convenient tables so we can enjoy a sandwich or whatever unnecessary but delicious snack we get. For customer service I am so impressed w obviously how friendly and accommodating they are. Special shoutout and gratitude to you staff for helping me lug out water gallon to my car when I was pregnant w my first son (and always offering stickers or whatever thoughtful convo) when this guy became a crazy toddler. Thank you staff today for opening a new cashier for me within seconds when I stood in misery while my second baby (newborn) was crying like an absolute maniac throughout my shopping experience. Definitely the most breathtaking TJs location being right off the water. If you get a grab n' go meal - be sure to go to the lower patio to the left of the front door - there are chairs and tables overlooking the Marina (there's a handicapped-accessible ramp)! I happened upon here while in the area, needing to do a Valentine's Day errand. The lot is huge (by TJs' standards), the flower/plant selection is also huge and the inside is spacious. I found everything I needed, no problem and the cashier checking out is equally as friendly. If I'm in the area, I'll be back! read more
