I brought 7 total for my nieces

I love TJ, but don't like coming here on the weekends bc it's too packed. However, I was so happy I found the mini Tote bags here! The blue and green colors are sold out, but I got a total of 7 for my nieces. Cashier said someone actually brought 40, so they have to put a limit of 10 which is still a lot. These are so cute for little girl or as a lunch bag. I only kept one for myself bc one is enough.

Trader Joe's. I like Trader Joe's. The only thing in general that I dislike is the limited edition items and the portions may be on the lower side of things. This specific location is always great for me. It's somewhat spacious compared to the one on university Ave. My favourite time to go is during the morning; the earlier the better. Stamp members are always nice and willing to help you. They make their way to leas you to the store, oh and you can literally try anything you'd like. Since this location is near or in the zone of what is considered a college town they got six pack glass beer or so that's what I heard a staff member say. Some items are unique here with their beer. Anyone seen an A's logo on a tin IPA? BART?! You can't miss the frozen section, always nice, quick, easy, and tasty meals speedily for a uni student or anyone pressed on time.

Everything But the Bagel Seasoning is now a must. Sitting right next to the sea salt, pepper grinder, Kikkoman, and Tampico on my counter! I'd had their version of the smoked salmon and actually enjoyed the seasoning more than the fish. You truly can put this on everything. Salads, grilled proteins, and veggies. Maybe even fruit! $1.99 a bottle so shake it up!

I enjoy that every Trader Joe's will evoke the same sense of familiarity wherever you go. You know exactly what great products they have, and approximately where they're located. The store is always clean, organized, and well-stocked. Trader Joe's excels at having their own brand of many packaged foods, and it's cheap! Some of the staples I always get are the Trader Joe's brand of Greek Yogurt, hummus, almond butter, nuts, and frozen foods like Chimichurri rice and bibimbap. They also have a good assortment of pre-made packaged foods like veggie hummus wraps, packaged salads, soups, etc. Trader Joe's biggest weakness is its produce. It's just not its forte. The assortment is limited, with maybe one variety of apple, mango, etc.. And the produce is also usually more expensive than regular stores. My strategy is to go to Berkeley Bowl for produce, and Trader Joe's for staples and packaged foods. You get the best of both worlds, and can save a lot on groceries!

This is a great Trader Joe's with their healthy products, and good prices. This one is a relatively small store, and sometimes it is really crowded around mid-day. I have waited in line for 20 minutes there. My recommendation is to go early--like 8 am. There was no waiting in line outside. Trader Joe's is so popular that if you go later in the day--they may run out of what you are looking for. Did you know that you can ask to try a product before you buy it, and you can eat as much as you wish. They also have a hassle free return policy. Don't love it--return it. Their staff is friendly, too. And remember, go early and miss the crowds.

The store itself is fine, but the parking lot is an absolute nightmare. Too small by a large margin and one-way lanes. Hate hate hate.

Ask the Community - Trader Joe's

When are the viral mini tote bags back?

Does anybody know if they recycle batteries? (WF does on Telegraph does.)

I've never seen any receptacles at TJ accepting recyclables of any kind.

5-Star Review for Uriah at Sprouts…read more I wanted to take a moment to recognize Uriah for the exceptional customer service he consistently provides. I have been shopping at this Sprouts location for years, and he is truly one of the best employees I have ever encountered. Uriah is always knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely pleasant. No matter how busy the store is, he takes the time to help customers with a positive attitude and a smile. His attention to detail and commitment to customer service never go unnoticed. One thing I particularly appreciate is his dedication to food safety and cleanliness. I've observed him changing his gloves appropriately when preparing sandwiches and meals, which demonstrates both professionalism and respect for customers. What stands out most is his consistency. Every interaction with Uriah is positive. He is helpful, approachable, hardworking, and clearly takes pride in his work. Employees like him are a major reason I continue to shop at this location. Sprouts is fortunate to have him on the team. If there were a higher rating than 5 stars, I would gladly give it. Uriah is truly a 100/10 and deserves recognition for the outstanding job he does every day.

I was offered a free taster of chocolate candy. That was fun. I love the store colors. It's a grounding experience. I had a taste for crab patties. They had some ground crab, however. I hope they will consider carrying crabcakes one day. Otherwise, I rate this place a 10. Yummy desserts.

The place had a farmers market/Sprouts kind of feel and carried predominantly organic produce. They have almost every type of product but maybe only 1-2 brands for each. I liked that there were many plant-based options, from cream cheese to frozen meals or sweets, but I was disappointed that they specifically didn't have nondairy yogurt which is one of my go-to's for breakfast. Almost everything is organic, and the price reflects that; a regular 15oz can of tomato sauce was $4. Besides that, it seems like a safe and convenient place to shop with their wide selections. But there's a reason for my continued patronage at this store: it slashes my grocery budget by at least 50 percent, if not more. It makes a big difference during these inflationary times. I used to stick with packaged goods, but in more recent years I've also been getting as much produce as possible at this GO. It's quite a bit less than at the other grocery store I often frequent, a family-run business in the Dimond district. It's not hard to find quality produce here, and they have a respectable amount of organics. The one thing that keeps me from giving this store a full five stars is the fact that they allow signature gatherers to set up shop by the front door, and these people thrust their their damn clipboards and pens in your face when you try to walk in. Today, when I politely declined to fork over my signature, the woman told me, "You should try to give a hoot about this," which was quite annoying. I'm not going to put my signature on something I haven't researched beforehand. These things are not always what they seem to be. In any case, I go to Grocery Outlet to do my shopping, not to debate ballot initiatives with people I do not know, and certainly not to be shamed by them when I don't give them what they want. I really, really wish the GO would not allow these signature gatherers to harass their customers, who are not there to engage in political discussions. In fact, I wish they wouldn't allow these people on the property AT ALL.
