DEAR GOD YES. Went today and it was amazing. Extremely clean, extremely open. This store eliminates the need to get in line and continue your shopping as the line stretches to the register. Also, while we were in line, we realized we'd forgotten a red onion and the cashier rang her bell and sent someone to get one and bring it back to the line. Even if this is offered at every TJs, you'd never dare at the Market St location because of the swarm of shoppers behind you. I really enjoyed this shopping experience. Also, the brand new parking lot next door validates parking for up to an hour of shopping so gone are the days of waiting in a queue just to get into the parking lot. Yay! read more

YASSS ANUTHA WUNNN! At first I thought, "why in the world would they open another location in the same vicinity?" Then I remembered, the first center city location is a sh*t show. The demand was TOO high and the supply could not keep up. There is a line EVERY morning before they open at 8AM. How do I know? Welp, I used to work nearby & every morning I had to go to this Trader Joe's location to pick up fresh fruits & snacks for a high end client. It's insane how busy it gets. It's like Black Friday everyday at the other location. Thankfully, we were blessed with a 2nd location just in time for the holiday season! This Trader Joe's is conveniently located just a block from Reading Terminal. It's not too busy yet since it's still so new, but I'm praying both locations can forever meet the demand of us loyal customers. The shelves were all stocked and it made my heart so happy. I was also informed by a crew member that they plan on opening more locations in the city in the next few years, so I'm excited for that! read more

This place exudes happiness. Everyone here is so happy. The aisles are large and the floors bright. Went in got me some frozen Knafe, pizza, Chinese food and baked cheese curls. I was CARBING. Also, met the loveliest worker there, London. Shout out to London who was very helpful and so knowledgeable where things are. A Trader Joe's like almost any other, it does the trick, is closer to Midtown village (if that helps you) and it's helped reduce the massive crowds at both "Joe's" locations. Plus, parking nearby is ample and it's a far less annoying location. Trader Joe's is the store you want and this one has the same fast moving line (but less intimidating looking). I've got back several times for odds and ends and it combines well with swinging by Reading Terminal Market! Just glad they built it! Will be back! read more

Can't really add too much as Trader Joe's are fairly consistent store to store. It has the typical Trader Joe's goodies with the exception of alcohol due to PA beer and alcohol laws. I like how they have miniaturized the number of check out lanes a while back that allows for the line around the store for checkout to go relatively quick. There is parking available in the lot above but validation is only done at certain times and days. I find it puzzling the Philly only has 2 stores in the city proper which doesn't seem enough considering the population, but I digress. read more

Excellent customer service; superior protocol in COVID guidelines. The line is long but it goes fast. The shelves are always stocked and if it's not, the next day, it is stocked again. Not one time have I ever encountered a bad cashier. They're so friendly. Way to go! read more

I feel that Trader Joe's is worthy of an upgrade from 4 to 5 stars upon my most recent visits there. I've started coming to Trader Joe's in the past weeks. I have been so impressed by Trader Joe's efforts to keep their grocery store a safe and hygienic space for all their customers. The staff purposely limits how many people can go into the store at once, so the store is not overly crowded. In addition to that, staff members spray hand sanitizer on every customers hands before entering the store. Just these two measures alone are enough to impress me and had me coming back here, instead of the competition over the past few weeks. Then, I noticed a few other changes, now reusable bags are not permitted in the store because they might bring in germs. Today, while waiting in line, a crew member came out to the customers waiting to enter, giving a speech emphasizing the importance of social distancing!!! Wow!! Their efforts are really impressive!!! I haven't seen any other store care so much about social distancing and keeping people safe! I might add, everybody at the store has been friendly and welcoming. It's always a friendly place with great customer service. I have become a much more regular customer here! I applaud all of their efforts to keep their customers safe! I really like the store a lot, I enjoy a lot of the selections of food that they have, including plants and vegetarian sections. Staff members are always eager to help and are friendly! Whenever I check out at the cashier, I always tell them that I save so much money and it's true! I always leave feeling like a not only got a good deal, but good quality food. Friendly cashier "Validated" my parking ticket, and I asked the manager exactly how it works there, and still when I left I was hit with a $16 for parking less than half an hour. Pretty expensive for a trip only for a bag of onions. read more

This TJ's location is fantastic. I live within walking distance, which makes it incredibly convenient but they also have a garage attached and will validate parking. There is often a wait to get in with COVID, but the lines move fast. On your way in, you get a spritz of hand sanitizer and a sanitized cart. The store (even during peak hours on the weekend) is usually well stocked. The staff here is what really makes the location great. They are incredibly kind and helpful, and always are super thoughtful in bagging my groceries to make them easy to carry home. read more

Words cannot express how much I love Trader Joe's-- amazing selection of products, affordable prices, seasonal offerings, and Crew Members who went above and beyond. I tend to go really early or really later during the day to beat the rush hours cause the lines outside the store can get pretty intense. Going to Trader Joe's has become part of my weekly routine. This is the best Trader Joe's... the woman in charge during the day, I believe her name is Alicia, is wonderful. She is a very personable and easy to talk to. Madness reigns. The first challenge your soul must endure is the parking lot. You wait with your vehicle half blocking traffic making a perfect vortex of anger that encompasses the street and the store. Once you achieve admission to the lot, you discover this is a false achievement. Other motorists stop and start, seemingly with no thought or plan. Turns once begun are quickly abandoned. The drivers, seemingly immune to geometry. At last, a space opens up, but the price is having to enter the store. Inside, human beings scramble like beetles whose rocks have been upended. Though the aisles are wide it is impossible to avoid physical contact with the other shoppers. It is a grotesque parody of the bizarre society. It is as if dumb animals have been granted only the amount of sentience required to mock humanity. The aisles are not labeled. You must search for every item. The constant walking up and down causes a numbness that borders on profound despair. Your conscious mind registers this as a mere annoyance, an inconvenience; but on a cellular level your aching body cries out in weariness. The fatigue you feel is a warning. Millions of years of evolution trying to save you from becoming mired in the tar, from sinking into the warm blackness and being reclaimed by the Earth itself.
