Pickle-Flavored Potato Chips & EBTB Bite Sized Crackers - VN
    Vince N.

I'm glad to see that TJ's opened up closer to where we stay at in Philly! I wasn't looking for anything in particular as what I really want is only sold during the holidays (the sweet & salty snack mix). But, because we don't have TJ's in Hawaii, I wanted to mosey around. I'm not a TJ's pro by any means but this one is small - similar to ones I went to in Dallas and Vegas, so maybe they're all of the same intimate size? I did find two products to try: Pickle Potato Chips and Everything But The Bagel Bite Sized Crackers. The EBTB potato chips could not be found.

Spending time with my daughter and did some food shopping with her. Looking for my favorite chips and dip. This market offers a good amount of organic foods but I'm not interested in that, only the fresh produce and chips. Never found any great prices at Trader Joe's but it's an experience without the savings. Oh yeah and the heavy paper shopping bags and not sure how long that's gonna last.

This was my first time inside of a Trader Joe's EVER!! Super spacious, clean and the employees were very friendly. I went because I was looking to see if their viral tote bags were still available (they weren't). I did find a couple of items that I don't think I would ever find inside of any other supermarket. The breads I purchased were delicious. The Red Velvet cupcakes, I ate all four by myself. (even though the goal was to share with my son) Will definitely go searching through all other TJ's in the area, but this one was nice

This is one of our go to's in Philly. No visit is complete without a stop to Trader Joe's to load my son up with food... Yes this is a Motherly thing. It is conveniently located to his apartment building which is great. Lines can be long but they move people through quickly. This is a larger store so they tend to have a larger selection and most of the viral favorites. Pricing at TJ's is great especially in a downtown area of a major city. This visit my son was working so went in for the viral totes for Spring. Staff there were friendly and helpful. They had only one tote left and sold it to me and indicated more bags would be there tomorrow at 3. Don't you know I was there at 3 to get the other colors. There was a limit but was nice to get my hands on these

Easiest 5 star I will write all month. I've become a super fan of the grocery chain and Philly did not disappoint one bit. I actually was not even looking for TJ, but stumbled upon them on a walk. An inner city store may be more rare I believe. So I had to check them out. The walk up was clear of debris and store shockingly clean and organized for a busy city location. Dependable staff like mine in Virginia Beach were friendly and answered questions. I found a few products I had not seen before like boiled eggs. Shelves were overall stocked well. Check out of my turkey sandwich, watermelon and water smooth. Staff bagged my order, smiled and presented my receipt to me. I would recommend.

I am not able to get here often, but am always pleased by the: Cleanliness Presentation Well stocked, but sometimes favorites sell out quickly. Staff always ready to help. So I have some favorites items exclusive to Trader Joe's. *My new favorite: Rosemary Vegan Croutons, a real game changer.

First time going to a trader Joe's ever in my life and it happened to be in Philadelphia since it was the closest walking grocery store.. Very clean and friendly store. A good selection of numerous items... Also a selection of things that I've never even had or tried before and since they were gluten free I ended up purchasing. I enjoyed soups. I wish that they actually had a deli because I didn't really care for the pre-packaged meats but I did what I had to do. Also the prepackaged cooked meats were Good as well.

Food quality has gotten progressively worse over the years. Last week, found a rock in a bag of chips. They refunded the chips for me. This week, opened a bag of dried mango, found weird bits and pieces of foreign material, specks of "dirt," discoloration, NOSE(?) HAIR. Won't be going shopping at TJs for a while.

Beautiful. Beautiful. The ambiance of this location particularly is truly beautiful, quiet, calm and the items are easy to find. I appreciated the spacing of the lines, aisles and areas in the store that were spacious and clean. This venue smelled clean and radiated that it was being taken care of. I went in for ONE item, ONE and ended up leaving with multiple Lol. Their flowers were remarkable and many patrons were in the area contemplating on which bouquets to buy. Staff were friendly and helpful here. I spoke to a few during my visit, things were easy to find and staff were everywhere. My cashier was very kind as well. I pass by this location often and I don't think to go in. I will be back as it is easy for me to get to while running my errands and catching the train! I'm looking forward to trying the chocolate covered Expresso beans! I usually make a quick stop for the cookie butter, this visit was great!

Well stocked every time I go, clean and organized. I came in for some tomato dumpling soup after seeing it all over Instagram. The line wrapped all the way to the back of the store. At least 30+ people. I walked around maybe 8 minutes and the line was cleared! It was insane. Super fast cashiers! Or maybe they're just a lot of them. Either way, go you!

I love Trader Joe's! This location is close to my work in Center City so it's easy for a grab and go lunch that I can eat at my desk or in the park. It also works for last minute groceries. The ready to go salads are perfect. Why not treat myself to a $3.99 flower bouquet?! It's a small bouquet but is a cute treat for me. It also makes a good gift. I also check out the seasonal merch! Lots of cool holiday stuff here. Of course, the employees here are awesome. They are friendly and helpful. The store and bathrooms are clean.

I am filing a complaint against the cashier--a young black woman with long hair who treated me rudely, resulting in a terrible shopping experience. Here is what happened: When I was paying by credit card, the first attempt was declined, but the second went through. I just said, "Approved." The cashier rudely shouted at me, "I heard!" Instead of processing the transaction immediately, she made me wait and wait, while she chatted with a young girl behind me in line. After I said, "Bad attitude," she shouted, "FUCK YOU!" I answer her, "FUCK YOU! I will complain about you!" She then grabbed my receipt and refused to hand it over; I had to demand its return before she finally gave it to me. She was extremely rude, mean and unfriendly toward Asian customers, discriminated against Asian female customers, she also processed transactions very slowly, keeping customers waiting. I hope Giant takes this matter seriously. We are members and loyal customers who have shopped there weekly since the store opened, yet this is the first time I have ever been treated so rudely.

Another reviewer mentioned and it is correct to save your receipt and scan it to get free parking otherwise my hour and a half visit would have run me 24.00 The store is clean. The layout easy to navigate. Pricing is more than fair. I got an amazing deal on seafood. Crab legs 11.99 lb, colossal tiger shrimp 9.99 for a bag of 12. Very nice. Guys at the deli counter were super friendly. Last note, I would avoid like the plague around 3:00 pm. I knew it was a mistake when I'd done it but my shopping companion who's a non driver was having a fit. Way too many schools in the area means massive throngs of children and traffic bottlenecks. Open until 10 pm so go early or after the kids have gone home.

I think of it more as a…read moreneighborhood market than a traditional supermarket, a place where you can quickly pick up what you need and be on your way without feeling overwhelmed. Its smaller footprint, especially for this location, works in its favor. The store is bright, clean, and well-organized, which immediately elevates the experience. The lively music, upbeat energy, and beautiful packaging create a fun, almost "adult amusement park" atmosphere. Even when it's busy, and the lines look long, they move quickly and efficiently. I usually walk, but there's a parking lot behind the store and street parking nearby when needed. What truly makes this place special is the staff. They are consistently warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. If you ask about an item, they walk you right to it, and they never seem bothered if you interrupt while they're stocking shelves. I also appreciate the team's continuity. Over time, you start to recognize familiar faces, and I've met crew members who transferred here from places like Oakland and Charleston, which speaks to a strong internal culture and mobility within the company. Just being in the store lifts my spirits. Another standout is the curated selection. Trader Joe's carries a fraction of the SKUs you'd find in a typical grocery store, about one-tenth as many, and that dramatically reduces decision fatigue. Instead of comparing endless versions of the same product, you can trust that what's on the shelf is a good choice. It makes shopping faster, easier, and far more enjoyable. Prices are competitive, and the quality is strong across the board. The meat and fish are generally fresh, the produce is reliable, and while I occasionally try something that's just average, the overall hit rate is excellent. The rotating seasonal items add a festive, timely element that makes each visit feel a little different and always fun, whether you're getting into the spirit of a holiday, planning a dinner party, or just trying something new. Some of my regular favorites are the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Shawarma, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Croissants, Bolognese sauce, Green Chile Chicken Bowl, Cookie Butter ice cream, the Focaccia Baguette, the fresh salmon, grilled sliced chicken, and the eucalyptus plants, which always make my apartment feel calmer and more inviting. More broadly, this company feels like it was built with real love and creativity. There is a genuine culture of celebrating people for who they are and encouraging everyone, both customers and crew, to show up authentically, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. Trader Joe's is also intentionally a bit mysterious and low profile as a brand. If you're ever curious about the backstory, the Freakonomics podcast episode on the company is fantastic and explains many of the thoughtful, unconventional decisions that you notice reflected in the stores. It's incredibly rare to watch a company scale the way this one has while still holding onto its character and values. This location is a perfect microcosm of why Trader Joe's is such a special and distinctive brand: great value, efficient shopping, carefully curated products, and genuinely kind people, all in a space that consistently leaves me happier than when I walked in. I always look forward to coming here. Thank you!
