I called this 5 year's ago...awesome. I Wish they were closer to Allen where I crash with my woman and kids, yo, at our hut. I have to get in the hoopite and drive all the way across the Metroplex to Plano to buy Trader Joes. Trader Joes is a grocery store mecca of VERY affordable superior goods. Their vitamins and their coffee and their milk and their nuts all ROCK and are markedly cheaper than the Whole Foods and Central Market overpriced offerings. And less hippies. Nice read more

Nice place to get different types of groceries. They quite a few unusual things that you just can't get at most markets. We have really enjoyed the meats and the "2 Buck Chuck" wine. Not the place I would go to for my every day shopping, since they don't have the brand name stuff I am used to. It is more of a specialty grocery market. read more

This store gets 5 stars. The customer service is fantastic! My daughter just got diagnosed with a gluten allergy and the guy gave me advice and a paper listing every product in the store that was gluten free. They talked to me about processing and processes. Not only did I get the food I needed but also a mini education on how to shop for the products, pitfalls etc. The people were nice friendly and helpful. Wow! Very much support passed my expectations of what stellar customer service looks like. read more

My favorite grocery store hands down! So far everything I have purchased from there is delicious. Whenever I try new things from there that they recommend, it is always a hit with my family! Recently i purchased a new danish and it was SO good that I had to go back the next day and buy it again. Love their signature Crunchy Cookie Butter! Love all the organic fruits and veges and the prices are very affordable. The staff in the store in Plano off Preston is extremely friendly and helpful! One of my favorites places to go to buy food! Kinda wish they'd found a space that wasn't new. That doesn't really exist in Plano. The space felt a little sterile. Maybe they'll open in Uptown or someplace with character one of these days. It's a fun place to shop, though, because of the people. read more

the selection at this little grocery store is pretty good considering it's size. they have a decent selection of vegetables, frozen food and meats. the main draw here is the three buck chuck. you can get a bottle of cab for $2.99. if you've ever heard of two buck chuck, they're talking about this wine which used to sell for $1.99. just look for the bottles labled charles shaw. i think it comes in cabernet, merlot and chardonnay. one of the reasons we come here is for the raw nuts, mainly almonds. they also have a good selection of dried fruits. avoid going on saturday or sunday afternoons, the place is packed with people on those days. read more

Oh, Trader Joe's! You make my hippie heart happy! (Except midday on the weekends - holy mackerel, cart traffic jams!)

Hubby and I like Trader Joe's for a handful of speciality items, but we have never made Trader Joe's our only grocery store because I cook from scratch and find that 1/3 of Trader Joe's is frozen prepared foods... albeit healthier frozen, but frozen nonetheless. Seasonal fruits are fresh. And we love the local beer and wine selection. Prices are reasonable and parking makes easy in and out of the shopping center. read more

Love this grocery store for the natural products, organics, grass-fed, pastured, and all manner of healthy, preservative-free food stuffs. I diligently read my food ingredients and nutrition labels, and it shocks me to no end that I have bought more boxed and frozen dinners here because of the content and quality of their food. I drive over an hour to TJ's to restock my kitchen every two or three weeks because their edibles are now part of my household's daily menu. My only complaints is that this is a small store, with a narrow entrance and exit, so there are chokepoints when the store gets busy (which happens often). Wish they'd open a TJ's closer to home! Having been to their home store in Monrovia for years, a nice surprise was their entry to Texas via Plano. Outstanding small-town feel grocery store with quality and freshness everywhere. I have been addicted to their dried mango chili forever. Excellent snack! Their TJ branded food is superb and their sampling is always something to look forward to. Oh, and their seasonal goodies are also quite a treat! read more

Trader Joe's is a wonderful alternative to Whole Foods and Central Market. However, if an item is not popular, the store will not opt into the stock anymore of that product. Beware of this store on the weekends...actually avoid it unless you are a morning person, and get there right when it opens. Parking is difficult as well. read more

Gota love trader joes. I like this location because the registers are labeled with bike trails from all around Plano. The one in California I go to has parks and local areas used in the same way but doesn't look as cool as this location. read more

I look for Trader Joe's whenever I travel to pick up coconut water, aloe juice, and nut mix for snacks. I have been to many Trader Joes across the country and this store was pretty much on par. They have free coffee and food samples at the rear of the store and the cashiers are usually hip and upbeat. They are a bit pricey, but great for specialty items. A nice place to visit and explore. read more

I love this grocery store. They have some excellent products, at excellent prices. I do a lot traveling, so I'm here often to get their prepacked travel snacks, like dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. All of their other products are wonderful. read more

I love trader joe's and i'm sad that they are further to my home home than what i hoped them to be. but besides that, here is what i like about them... great selections, good prices, good variety, and whether it's their marketing that's done a good job or what not, I somehow feel as if their stuff is better quality. here is what i'm a little disappointed about, i'm sad that their selections does not include more vegan options. I was just surprised that being such a health positioning type of market, that they would have more vegan options. Surprisingly, I'm still defaulting back to Nature Grocers for vegan options. read more

Once you learn that Trader Joes brand EVERYTHING is amazing then you will love this tiny grocery store with the friendliest staff in Texas!!

They have fresh produce at amazing prices plus delicious samples everyday. Their beer selection is superb and you really can't beat "2 buck chucks". Although, they do not have the largest selection, they rotate their products based on what's seasonal and have the majority of what you'll need. In addition to excellent products, they have some of the best staff around. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to lend a helping hand. Even when there are a lot of people, the line moves super fast and the cashiers will check to make sure you have no broken eggs or moldy food. I love Trader Joe's and cannot say enough good things about them. read more

You can't go wrong with trader joes. The prices vs whole foods are great. Not a big store but a good selection. Lots of healthy items to choose from. This is my favorite healthier grocery store. You still need to look at labels. read more

Staff here is SUPER nice & friendly every single time I have gone in for water, wine, snacks-I used to adjust my work out so I could get in after swimming laps before it closed, for a Kombucha and plantain chips and coconut strips...and maybe a bottle of wine. I love that they carry sort of the 'off market' flavors of the Kombucha I drink-Cayenne Pepper and recently, WATERMELON ~ hello!! Parking is a little rough-requires some strategy and patience. I read this hysterical blog from out of CA that gave the run down of all Trader Joe's parking issues and since, I have more of a tendency to laugh because everything in the blog, happens in this Preston location parking lot. It's completely worth a couple extra minutes of park strategy for sure. Their flower selection is gorgeous. I have bought produce and it was great. During holidays I love to buy the packaged nuts because the pricing and quality are fantastic. Just a great little place that before Fall of 2016 or so, I had never ever been! Again-GREAT staff...they NEVER make you feel awkward or weird rushed and are genuinely nice people, which always puts me in a happy mood! Love it! read more

Greek yoghurt is really good! Also excellent snacks, frozen meals, pasta sauce and cheese, Haven't had one bad item.

I was first exposed to Trader Joe's while visiting my sister in LA. When I heard they were coming to the area I was thrilled! Even though the closest one is still a 30 minute drive I know I can go across town to get some of my favorite things you can't find anywhere else. Love their stuffed fish, cookie butter, Three Buck Chuck and the list goes on. I am super excited that we are getting one in McKinney even though I will still drive 30 minutes to Plano to get my favorite things. read more

I recently decided to go vegan and Trader Joe's is my safe haven! I manage to purchase fantastic, fresh, healthy, delicious products at affordable prices. My trips never cost me more than $20 and last for at least 3 weeks. This location is a little smaller than I expected but I would probably go crazy in a larger store. read more

Best prices for nice cheese around. Try the meatless meatballs--they taste like the real thing! I'm not even a vegetarian and I like them.
