Quality/Quantity - I am slowly becoming a fan of Trader Joe's. My wife is already a loyal customer. You are becoming my go-to snack place. I am also slowly trying out your frozen department. I used to be a loyal wine customer, but because we belong to so many wineries, I just can't drink it fast enough. Or maybe I do not have enough friends? JK. But I do appreciate your local craft beer selection. And 3 samples today?!?! One of which was cheese and wine! Ambiance - Clean spacious location. Seems smaller than your other Reno locations. Plenty of mall parking. But I always park further away as there can be a bottle neck or aggressive drivers in the very front of your entrance. Valentine displays are already up; see pictures. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm. Service - So far, always 5 stars!! Price - Reasonable, I honestly do not look. Owner Comment - Congrats on your grand opening today on 8/21/24! My wife (and I) will be regular customers. Congrats on your company's success since 1967 (1958 if you count Pronto Markets). 1979 - Sold to Theo Albrecht, owner of Aldi Nord. 2024 - 569 stores.

That was super courteous and friendly. We had a couple of laughs. The store is always clean and super accessible for everything that I need. I'm not big on going to super large grocery stores as I usually don't have a lot of time, so running in and out of Trader Joe's is super convenient for me. Although I wish they would keep their whipping cream in the little blue and white boxes on hand in the store at all times all throughout the year not just holiday times since that is one of my favorite things to buy.

Many years ago I worked for Trader Joe's and since then I've never been disappointed with their service their hospitality and their prices. Today was extra special because I was picking up some items for a friend that was in the hospital and buying flowers for them and an extra special thank you to Sam one of the workers at Trader Joe's, who gifted the flowers to us to give to our friend that made a great impression on us and if I could give them more than five stars on Yelp, I would. Huge shout out to Sam for your empathy and generosity.

Visiting Trader Joe's is always one of the highlights of our trips. We love stocking up on goodies to bring back to Hawaii for family, friends, and coworkers. It's always fun to see their reactions when they realize how much we manage to fit in our bags. The shopping experience is smooth and enjoyable every time, thanks to the friendly team members who make even our large hauls a breeze. Still holding out hope that this awesome chain will make its way to the Hawaiian Islands someday!

Nice friendly service, clean and organized store and always stocked with my essentials from traders! I don't go to this location as much but since I was on this side of town I decided to stop in and it was a pleasant visit! The food/produce is always fresh and I especially love their frozen meals as they make dinners easier throughout the week.

Got to love the selection of food and how well stocked this store is. I popped in after work for a couple things to make for dinner and I was able to get in and out in about 5 minutes. Sometimes the music is jammin and I have to slow down to enjoy the groove.

This is the newer Trader Joe's in Reno and it is larger, more spacious, with a nice set up for checkout and exit, better parking area and with extremely friendly and happy employees. There are new food item and products regularly. Most food items are reasonably priced and healthy ( do your own research).

Thank Goodness for Trader Joes in South south Reno. We love this new roomier way closer to home version. Great produce and we only buy our salmon/steaks and potatoes from here. I have recently learned I need to stay away from gluten and so going out to eat isn't always as easy as it used to be so this is our go to for cooking at home. Hubs always makes me the fabulous tasting salmon and a smashed potato recipe that is unmatched. We just picked up some Trader Joe's brand gluten free chocolate chunk cookies with sea salt and they were AMAZING. Absolutely crazy they're gluten free. Cute store with always friendly employees. Another staple is the dark chocolate covered almonds and some peppered salami. These are a few of my favorite things! Clean, easy parking, easy checkout. Yay!

Happy to see Trader Joe's in South Reno! I had taken a break from our Trader Joe's off of McCarran because of the crowds there. Today, on a weekend, the store was busy, so I will need to do my research on best times to visit this new store. Parking was a bit "dicey", but again, will have to assess after the excitement of the new store opening wears off. I like the food variety of Trader Joe's, especially the ethnic foods. Clean and well stocked. Lots of employees. Would like to see promotion of local vendors as with some of TJ's competitors. I know of one local restaurant that has some awesome soups. Hope to see this incorporated in the future.

Anna assists me almost every time I visit, and she is a absolute joy. She always has a genuine smile on her face and possesses the best attitude. Honestly, it's some of the best customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. She consistently turns a routine grocery trip into a great day. Unfortunately, my experience at the deli counter recently was the exact opposite. I went to order a sandwich and, as a first-timer, didn't realize there was a paper form I needed to fill out first. I stood waiting for assistance, and a staff member named Teri walked up, mumbled something, and immediately started to walk away. Because I couldn't hear her, I politely asked her to repeat herself. Teri responded with an incredibly dismissive attitude, acting as though asking for clarification was a major inconvenience. She then repeated, "You need to fill out the paper," speaking very condescendingly, as if I were unable to understand basic instructions. Even after I explained that I had never ordered a sandwich here before and simply didn't know the process, her attitude remained hostile. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and off-putting interaction. If it weren't for Anna completely turning my mood around at checkout per usual, I would have walked out incredibly frustrated. Management has a real gem in Anna, but they desperately need to address the customer service standards and basic courtesy at the deli counter.

Located directly off of S. Virginia St and adjacent to S. Meadows Pkwy in the southern part of Reno, this is one of three locations in the Reno metropolitan area (with the other two stores in north Reno and Sparks). The parking lot is actually quite spacious with ample room to get in and out to the main road. During my visit which was on Friday 7/3/2026 at around 1:30pm, it was fairly busy but the store itself had a great open layout. Those of you that don't know this about WinCo Foods is that they are a private employee-owned company. Prices are probably the best you will find anywhere other than Costco but here you won't get the massive crowds that Costco experiences on any given day. Keep in mind that WinCo only accepts cash, debit cards, and Apple Pay/Google Pay as they do not take credit cards of any kind. Also, you must bag your own groceries but this is their trademark to all of their locations in the western United States. I do want to add that since this is the state of Nevada, this WinCo actually has a small dedicated area (towards the front) where slot machines are available. This is great for those that want to avoid the hustle and bustle of going to an actual casino. In addition to that, they also have an area where alcohol is sold, a customer service area (where you can buy cigarettes, money orders, money transfers, payroll check cashing, and much more). Public restrooms are also available towards the front area of the supermarket. As for the store itself, much of the produce (fruit/veggies) was very fresh and well stocked. They also carry a huge assortment of bulk foods (nuts, rice, pasta, flour, candy, etc.). an amazing variety of meat & poultry, a dedicated bakery and deli section, and just about everything else you can think of. I find their selection to be much better than other big box grocery stores as this place always carries what I am looking for. Best of all, they are open 24 hours. When I made all my purchases, I went to the self check-out aisle (as they accept cash, debit, or tap-to-pay). The whole process was seamless and easy. All in all, the south Reno "WinCo Foods" gets a respectable four-star rating.

All of this while providing full-time positions and livable wages with benefits too. Winco proves it! In the 20+ years that I've been a Winco customer, I've always been treated well which is a phenomenal track record that some jerk has ruined. Why Linda, why? She was covering the service desk and I came in to return a defective item. As I approached the desk, she was looking me up and down with a very strange expression. So because of this, I wasn't affable but I definitely wasn't rude. I cut to the chase of why I was there. She treated me VERY badly which I ignored for the most part, stating that in all of the years that I've shopped at Winco I've never been treated so poorly. She responded by saying that I was the problem and invited me to call the corporate office! Then she said aggressively, "I've had three horrible customers in one day!" repeating it a few times. I asked to speak to a manager and she quipped that he was busy and he couldn't get away so I asked someone else to page him for me and she interfered with that page, telling them to cancel it. This is a brand new store and everyone else is amazing which is what I'm used to. I wrote this shortly after the store first opened and haven't had an unpleasant experience since and I shop here weekly. I also have not seen Linda. It's a great store with great employees and low prices. I'll keep buying whatever they have that I need from Winco. This store is my first go to store.
