I love Trader joes! We were so happy that they put a store in the Williamsburg area. What can I say... The wine , the cheese, the bread.... Impossible to find better or cheaper anywhere in town. This store is great. It is always very clean, well-organized and everyone who works there is friendly. I do not think I have ever come to this location and seen a staff member in a bad mood. Trader Joe's has a great selection of healthy foods that you cannot find in other stores. The ONLY downside is that sometimes you can't find everything that you want here, but that is a small price to pay for such great quality food. read more

Trader Joe's is my "go-to" wine provider for my every day wines. I've discovered so many different tasty European wines= especially the Hungarian Merlot! It's also my milk store for its prices and freshness and the salad varieties can't be beat. So many things to make really "different" meals. read more

Stopped by here to check the place out since I have never been to one before and have heard so much about TJs. I was pretty impressed! The store was clean and nicely laid out. The employees were friendly and very helpful and assured me there are no GMOs in their stores. I thought the prices were reasonable, especially compared to Whole Foods. It seems they do have a variety of items, maybe not everything I would need in one stop, but I also like that they have a variety of foods I've never seen before. It's nice they have a money back guarantee with no questions asked, even if it's just because you don't like the taste of something. read more

Unfortunately there isn't a Trader Joe's close to me. I've been to several different ones but this one in Williamsburg is my favorite. Honestly, there's not much difference in any of them as far as the products they carry. The great thing about this store is that it's not as crowded. I love their cheeses, wines, and many other organic products. The prices are great too. I always shop here when in Williamsburg. read more

Great place to pick up groceries! Lots of options for pre made meals and wonderful produce and organic options. I always pick up some flowers when I go here because they are so well priced. A bit small so you will probably have to visit another larger store to get everything on your list but great for specialty items and well priced for a higher end grocery store. read more

This store has gone rapidly downhill since it opened about four years ago. There's almost nothing there that you can't buy elsewhere, and sometimes quite a bit cheaper. They used to have some great bargains on off label California wines, but for the past two years I can't recall buying anything memorable.Their cheese section is still pretty eclectic and that does keep me coming back. But, my biggest complaint is the absolutely awful customer service I've experienced. This TJ's has a number of employees who are often unacceptably rude, hostile, and passive aggressive. They think nothing of elbowing you out of the way, spinning your cart around while you are hanging onto it, chatting up old friends at the checkout counter on company time while your frozen goods are thawing. And your temper is heating up. My strongest complaints are directed at the middle aged housewives who work there during the day, who seem to be mad at the world, and enjoy screwing with people of the opposite gender. It's come to the point where I'm afraid to go there during the day. I usually wait until after 6:00 pm when the students come to work. What a breath of fresh air they are! This being the New South I've come to accept that there's a new behavior paradigm : Southern Hostility. You won't see anything else quite like it unless you go to some parts of Europe. But even these Southerners give the worst German a run for his/her money. It's a real shame that TJ's has become just another outlet for angry, underpaid, overworked, resentful people. read more

A great store! Delicious foods, often specialty foods, at a reasonable price. Staff that know their stuff and are eager to help. Their house brands are EXTREMELY reliable, occasionally better than the more costly "brand" names. A nice selection of unusual items that offer special flavor...e.g., koshered poultry. A wide selection of yoghurts and kefir at very reasonable prices. A return policy that invites trying new products and items without worry. Two minor problems: 1) their reach may exceed their grasp, and exotic items behind tight wrappings may be mouldy; and 2) items are sometimes all wrapped up that I would to smell, feel, and get to know personally before buying. But all in all, it is an easy five star place, just a treat to have in the community. I was thrilled when they arrived, and I still am. read more

I love trader joes. It's the same food everywhere, nyc, richmond, and williamsburg. The salmon is very good. But do not get the lamb rack. The lamb rack was terrible. I wouldn't go to trader joes for meat. Their meat is pretty pricey. However everything else is reason and the quality is very high. Overall an awesome place for groceries. And I love that there is no special card to get discounts. read more

We love this Trader Joe's. Everyone who works here has been super nice since they opened, with great suggestions and friendly service. The store provides delicious, well priced, and convenient items for a busy family. The only rude sourpuss is a short, older woman (with short hair) who sometimes is in charge of the samples. She actually snapped condescendingly at those of us who were waiting for her samples to be ready to be served. Most of us walked off and did the rest of our shopping instead. LOL. read more
