My favorite muffins come from here. Last time I was in deep creek was 3 months ago and I got a cappuccino muffin to go and I was not ready for that amount of deliciousness that came from it...needless to say I ordered a dozen to pick up so I could have some to take home and enjoy here. This past week I hosted an executive meeting at our home in Deep Creek. I placed a large breakfast order for around 15 people last minute and they were able to accommodate. Not only was the food/coffee delicious but the staff was amazing at ensuring I had all that I needed to serve the group. I feel like their coffee used to be awesome but lately it seems that it's been going down hill. I got a latte today and it was so bad that I had to put flavored creamer in to block the taste. I'll probably just give up on them coffee wise. The food is still great, the staff is friendly and wonderful, and I love the atmosphere even though they took a good chunk away from the shop but I won't be back for espresso and I'm the last one in my office willing to go for coffee.... read more

Probably my favorite coffee place I've been to, maybe anywhere. I had a mocha here several times and each time it was delicious, with a great chocolate and espresso flavor with neither being lost. The best mocha I've had anywhere for sure. I also had a banana and nutella crepe that was tasty and they offer a bunch of other breakfast options as well which was nice. It's cute in here and is the only coffee shop in the area. There are tables or couches and comfy chairs. Everyone I dealt with was very personable. It will get crazy crowded on holiday weekends, but that's common for the area. I think they are over priced coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches, but still good. The only coffee place around that I know of ... unless you count the back deli at Arrowhead. I'd come back for the atmosphere and the great view, but the coffee and my breakfast wrap were only ok. I had a pumpkin spice latte which barely tasted like pumpkin spice, and a breakfast wrap that I'm pretty sure they either re-heated or just didn't understand how to make properly. Yes, I asked for lettuce but I didn't think they would heat it up with the wrap. If there's anything more disgusting than hot romain, I have yet to try it (and don't want to). My suggestion to them would be to replace the lettuce option with spinach. Takes good raw or cooked and is packed with vitamins! I'll give this place another shot but only because there aren't many other options in the area. read more

The coffee was okay, not any great shakes on this place. The manager was nice but the barrista had an attitude that was just short of rude. Very snotty acting in fact. I got a bagel and mocha coffee, we had the boat docked and hiked up the hill. We were trying to get cash to tip the young man who helped us dock the boat, but to no avail. The nearest ATM was 1 1/2 miles down the rode. Was going to get breakfast here Sunday before coming home but decided against and did the free breakfast at hotel. Really cool little cafe. The view of the lake from the outdoor seating is amazing. The inside is likewise beautiful, complete with a fireplace and a counter to enjoy coffee and food. Dear Santa: Please bring me a Trader's Coffee franchise to D.C., so I can go more than a handful of times per year. They put the Bucks of Star to shame. I love the Hawaiian Hazelnut coffee the very best, and the blueberry muffins are to die for, especially if you're lucky enough to get there when they're hot out of the oven. Being a city girl, this coffee house came off as a little hokey. There are lots of chochkies all over the place and hodge podge of some prepackage food. What sets this place apart is the lovely service and delicious frou frou coffee. Upon suggestion, I ordered the "Starry Night" ? and it was a sweet treat on a cool and rainy day. My husband and I sat in comfy chairs and sipped on our drinks. Of course I spilled some of mine and the barista appeared out of nowhere with a napkin. Went back Sunday morning on our way out of town. We grabbed a quick bite for breakfast. Again the pastries looked amazing but didn't eat any of them but I did have the breakfast wrap and it was awesome. Great quality and serving sizes won't cause you to leave feeling sick. This is the cutest little coffee house with a fireplace and great view of the lake. Their coffee selection was excellent. I had the Protien Wrap, which has a banana, peanut butter, honey and a whole wheat wrap. It was delicious! My husband has a ham egga and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel. We returned later in the week to enjoy a cup of coffee and a cookie for a snack. It's a great place to unwind. We loved it. read more

I am giving 4 stars for ambiance, ease of ordering, available choices (6 sugar free coffee flavors, which is more than starbucks!), and cost. I'm taking away the 5th star because it took them forever to get my iced coffee made, and there was only 1 person ahead of me. My dad got his hot coffee cup immediately, but I would say it was a solid 5 minutes for my iced coffee. Totally too long considering they don't add the cream or sugar for you. Also, there is only one bathroom stall and there was a wait to use the bathroom both times I came here. read more

Our first time here and everything was great. We all got drinks including our little boys. The staff was very friendly and the ladies working were thoughtful enough to watch the temperature on the boys' hot chocolates so that they didn't burn their mouths. Came here to use the wifi. Staff was friendly and the Reese's Wrap was delicious. We also had Chai, which was good. The only thing keeping this place from getting 5 stars is that I felt it was a little expensive. This place makes a great cup of coffee and a huge perk is they respect the environment. My wife and I always visit multiple times on vacation and love the atmosphere. Great prices and variety await and I have never heard a complaint about the food. I enjoyed a Turkey Pesto Panini with a side salad and wanted more. I really enjoy their coffee because they offer soy milk and almond milk--the latter being quite unusual and yummy in my experience. That being said, I like this establishment less the more I visit. At one time, they were out of almond milk, and, although I got soy instead, it just does not taste the same. Moreover, I am not impressed with the amount you must pay for an iced coffee when much of the cup is filled with ice and not coffee. I also find some of the baristas to be rude. I felt ignored the one day as one came around the counter to hug her friend seemingly brushing me to the side before I finished paying. I have also overheard the girls behind the counter speaking matter-of-factly to some of the customers who have questions. Both of these things strike me as unprofessional. read more
