****UPDATE 3/20/25 Tradewinds agreed to pay a sum of $4,000 for the emissions related equipment after I engaged an attorney and threatened legal action. However, a number of other items have continued to fail within the first 200 miles or were not working upon delivery. 1) Motorized seat functions in both front seats 2) damaged & leaking radiator hose 3) leaking wiper fluid hose in roof 4) failed sunroof motor 5) missing second key. These items total an additional $8,000 worth of issues. Even with the "settlement" considered, I would stay away from Tradewinds.**** If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Tradewinds Motor Center and expect it to be inspected and free of major defects, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Tradewinds sold me a vehicle that had its emissions equipment removed and, consequently, could not pass emissions testing. This major defect was not disclosed to me prior to purchase or in the purchase paperwork. Upon delivery (I was an out-of-state buyer), the check engine light was illuminated, and the vehicle leaked coolant all over my garage and driveway. Immediately, I scanned the vehicle using an OBDII scanner, and emissions-related codes appeared. I spoke with Tim Campbell, the General Manager, over the course of three weeks. He finally committed to paying for me to take the vehicle to an OEM-licensed dealership for diagnostics. The OEM-licensed dealership produced a report indicating that the catalytic converters were missing and a coolant hose needed to be replaced. After I spoke with Tim and offered to send him the report, he informed me that the owner of Tradewinds, Brian Farajipour, had rescinded the offer to pay for diagnostics and was also unwilling to cover any of the repairs required to pass emissions testing in my state. I am now forced to pay $6,200 for repairs in order to operate my vehicle legally. They advertise Carfax but show you a different report whi h clearly didn't show the full history of a vehicle that I never would have purchased. Bought a worthless warranty that they dragged their feet on until it ran out t with no resolve! I am now out of money and an inoperable vehicle that I still have to pay for.​ read more

My daughter bought a Volkswagen Jetta from Tradewinds. Within a month she began having issues. Tradewinds kept TELLING her they would fix it. Everytime she brought it in, they claimed nothing was wrong. Engines don't knock like this and nothing be wrong. She recently took the car to Drellishak's and found out that the car needs a new engine. How did Tradewinds not know this and WHY did you not make this right. My daughter now has a car that is not driveable and still owes a good chunk of money on. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!! Meh shady dealership that really prey on low income folks with little options. We came in with cash in hand to replace a car for my uncle. We landed on an 09 Honda Accord. Preliminary checks were fine except it needed new rotors and tires. Mechanics were closed since it was a weekend so i couldnt get a compression test done. They were very resistant to negotiating even when presented with multiple repairs in the car. If you are shopping for a car, I'd say go elsewhere. Dealerships will be dealerships. If you do end up shopping here, make sure you check EVERYTHING. And if you aren't savvy with cars, make sure you go on a weekday where you can take the car to a mechanic to check it over. read more

I found an Escalade at this dealership and it was absolutely gorgeous. I was so excited to be making the 600mi journey to look at this vehicle. Upon getting there on the outside everything looked perfect until I opened the doors. The vehicle may have been vacuumed but definitely not the level of detail that a $36,000 Escalade should have been... There was black marks all over the tan interior and sand on the back seats, it was just disappointing to say the least. While going around the vehicle I had also noticed that the hood doesn't properly latch. Upon taking the vehicle off of the lot and on the test drive the first thing I noticed is that it rode really rough and Escalades are supposed to float. The second thing I noticed is when I got on the interstate and kicked this supercharged 6.2L engine down it bogged, shuttered horrendously and made God awful noise from the rear end, the salesman that was riding with said nobody drove it like that and I made him aware that anyone who knows anything about superchargers knows that it should get up and go not bog down. After speaking with the manager I was able to get my down payment refunded and he was trying to tell me all this B's about it just needing a tuner added and I let him know it actually needs a custom tune which costs upwards of 2k, the only reason I am writing this review now is because after getting home and returning the rental car, I had to get, I find out that they raised the price a thousand dollars and listed it on Carfax and their website I hope this reaches the people who go and look at it (there is no way they fixed everything wrong with the vehicle). Do not buy from this dealership! They sold me a car on black friday, I made it very clear I wanted a warranty that will cover any repairs that are not normal wear and tear. They show me this wonderful pamphlet with everything the warranty covers and we add it to my loan. Just two weeks later I informed them that I had major oil consumption issues and their response was take it to a shop that's why you have a warranty. Well the warranty company will not cover pre-existing issues nor will they cover oil consumption issues. Clearly the dealer didn't know the details of the contract that they sold me. 6 months after I purchased the car I break down on the highway. I get towed to shop and I now need a new engine due to no compression in a cylinder. We submit to warranty company and of course its not covered do to no compression and due to exes oil issues. I have tried to contact tradewinds multiple times and Tim the supervisor refuses to call me back. Twice he has said to give him and hour and he will call me back after he talks to warranty company. I give him a day each time and he is yet to call me back. I have left 3 messages and he will not call me back. They sold me a useless car and a useless warranty, which I made them aware of just over two weeks after purchasing the car. I now have to pay almost $7,000 for a used audi engine replace. At the very least they can pay me back for the garbage warranty that they sold me. Again, do not buy from this dealership!!!!! read more

I purchased a 13 Jeep Wrangler from Tradewinds with Rachel as my sales person. Never again. I am out of town and this was my first purchase online and therefore relied on Rachel to be honest and forthcoming with me. What a mistake that was. I noticed in the online pictures the tires seem to be bald. I sent a text message asking her the condition of the tires to which she replied "tires are good". We got the paperwork done and I was pushed to leave a five-star review mentioning her name. Thankfully I waited until now. I noticed that communication really started to drop after signing around shipping details. I was told the Jeep would ship in a day or two but then really had to keep asking for updates. It took a week for signing to get the Jeep. I love 3 hours away and got it the day it was loaded. Much more than a day or two. Once the jeep was shipped I could tell walking up to it that the tires were no good. Sure enough they were bald and were even dry rotted. The worst part is there was a brand new spare on the back so it would have been easy to compare. I got in the vehicle and immediately noticed the gas tank was so empty it wouldn't even tell me how many miles were left. I have bought over 30 used cars in my life and have always received them with a full tank of gas. Next I looked for an oil change sticker, there wasn't one, and realized they had not changed the oil. Also a first for me. This was a built out Jeep, the reason I bought it, and I also noticed that several components for the build were missing including the controller for the winch. I reached to Rachel the next morning to explain my disappointment and asked for a phone call back. She called me back later that day and explained that the owner does not let them fill the tank with gas. Strange but whatever. She ignored the oil change and told me she would follow up with her sales manager on my issue with the tires and the missing components. Several days went by and I hadn't heard anything so I reached back out. Ensue a week of her dodging my questions and not replying. I also kept asking for the final copy of my paperwork and warranty information that was purchased. Several I "emailed you" later and I never got the paperwork. I had no idea the warranty information other than it was "bumper to bumper". And now the real nightmare started. The Jeep had specialized bead lock wheels, long story short, the wheels were no good so not only did I have to buy new tires, I had to buy new wheels. Total there was just over $3,500. Remember Rachel had told me everything was good with the tires. Lie number one. I then bring the Jeep to a mechanic for a good once over to make sure we weren't going to have any issues. They came back with $4,800 worth of repairs. I said no problem I have a bumper to bumper warranty. Reach out to Rachel again because I've never received anything about the warranty. After some back and forth I finally get the information I need and my mechanic calls the warranty company. As it turns out it was nowhere near a bumper to bumper warranty and they only covered $1,500 worth of repairs. Lie number two. I promptly contact Rachel who tells me I will be a getting call the following day from either her sales manager or gm. That phone call never came. Several days later I eventually called and talked to Steve, the sales manager. He tried to argue that the tires were good but once I said they were dry rotted and that I had pictures to prove it, he asked me to email him copies of all the information I had and he would pass it to Tim, the general manager. He told me that Tim would call by the end of the day. He never did. Lie number three. The following day I called and asked for Tim. Tim got on the phone and said that Steve was taking care of me. I informed him that Steve told me the opposite to which he responded he was with clients and would call me in 30 minutes. That call never came. I called the next day and got his voicemail and never received a call back. Lie number four. Be very careful with buying a vehicle from this stealership. They lie, cheat, and steal for no reason. I was promised a bumper to bumper warranty that cost me $4000 that hardly covered anything. I am out of pocket almost $8,000 in the 5 weeks I've owned this cheap. If they have that perfect vehicle you've been looking for I recommend inot buying it online but traveling there to ensure its condition as well as to fully read all documentation including any warranty they try to sell you. All of this could have been avoided with honesty and good customer service. Apparently they care about neither. read more

The financing seems to be a scam. They said they had to add a certain amount to the total car price, because "the bank charges us for loans", which our bank says isn't true. They wanted a larger down payment and their interest rate was astronomical. We left there and went to a Ford dealership that made a great deal for us, with no strange added fees. Whichever credit bureau used also ranked us almost 100 points lower than our average. I would caution people who feel desperate and are willing to accept poor deals. read more

When you tell them your car has an issue the day after you bought it they spin you and act like they trying to help you. Then when your financing won't pay them bc of the issues they won't give you the down payment back.
