Store is small and mostly just women's clothing now. I used to visit/purchase multiple times per year; however, there isn't much reason to stop anymore.

We bought a membership to Sam's Club only an hour away but after shopping there a couple of times we elected to travel to Costco and make a day of it. But, now we are heading to FL for 4 months and no Costco. . I value and trust Costco and their deli foods taste better than Sam's also. We had to return some recalled Carrots and lucky for us we did not have a line to wait in. We did self check out as we only had 4 items. Busy store but we were able to get in and out fairly quick.

Went browsing at Fleet Feet looking for a possible walking shoe. I had not planned on making a…read morepurchase, just looking at options and had already been to several stores, as I have several issues with feet and knees. The lady who greeted me asked if I had an appointment, I did not. She proceeded to assist me anyway, using technology to analyze my feet and walking pattern. I was surprised to find out one foot had a very high arch, while the other was very low. Was never told this before and this information helped to explain a lot of things. My high arch was collapsing, affecting the ankle and knee and opposite leg as I was favoring one side over the other. Denise took A LOT of time with me, fitted me with several options of shoes and arch supports. I found one shoe with a support that gave me relief in my knee that I had not had for many, many months. It is shocking that relief could be experienced so quickly. Everything is not back to normal yet, but I am very happy with my purchase of shoes, arch support, socks. I highly recommend Fleet Feet and I would go again for the excellent personalized service. I would also recommend taking advantage of setting an appointment.

This is the latter type, and they all seem to be very similar (Bethesda, Agrace, etc). Less crowds, traffic, anxiety, and clutter than Goodwill and St Vinnies, but also less selection. Check back regularly and you will find some treasures. For the most part the prices are fair. If I specifically need something, I start with Goodwill, because I have the best chance of browsing. But I dont always feel like stopping in Goodwill just to browse. Versus it can be very peaceful to stop in Boomerangs, or similar. I've probably been there a dozen times since they opened, and bought something 3 of the times. They have furniture, which not all thrift stores carry. The staff has always been helpful.

I already feel a tad yucky shopping here in general but this weekend turned me off for good. I bought approximately $200 worth of merchandise but was charged $270 at checkout because the sale signs didn't match the computer pricing. Nearly everything I purchased was priced incorrectly. I was able to fix a few prices at the point of sale - the cashier didn't even question me - but given the line piling up behind me I elected to cash out, double check prices on display, and get back in line to rectify. Nearly $70 worth of overcharging due to "someone probably not changing signs" but "that's not my job" is not how you run a business. It's a massive inconvenience to the consumer and extremely disappointing.
