The director does not make the residents happy by planning activities they enjoy and love. The activities that are planned are for the convenience of the director only. It is a shame that our seniors and family members have to endure a horrible and uncaring staff as this. Also, the residents windows are nailed shut! Isn't this a fire hazard? Water drips from the ceiling when it rains and mold exists throughout the building. This place needs a complete overhaul and restaffing with people that actually care.

The Belmont provides many activities there for them and the staff also takes the residents out to other places for meals and for fun. My Mother is in the choral group, the Saturday night movie group, the Bingo group, the Sunday afternoon excursion group and several more. And they all say that she never misses Happy Hour! When my Mother reached her 90's, my husband and I visited every place in town, we felt that the Belmont would be the place my Mother would like the best. It was sunny, clean, well-designed, pet friendly, and welcoming. We are so glad when she often tells us how happy she is living there.

We were able to bring in furniture and decorations from his house, which helps to make him feel more at home. They even let us hang things on the walls. There are always activities going on, and they go out to eat about once a week. They really encourage the residents to be involved in activities, and that has really helped my Grandad adjust to this new situation. If you have a family member moving to personal care or memory care, definitely consider this place.

Most recently my father in law's wedding ring came up missing from his finger. When it was reported, nothing was done about it. Items disappear from his room all the time and when a complaint is lodged, they miraculously reappear. He recently had to go to the VA for care, and now, after being back at Franciscan for many weeks, they STILL have not come up with a care plan for him. The facility is not ADA compliant. He is confined to a wheelchair due to being a fall risk. When going to eat in the dining facility, the tables do not allow for a wheelchair to push up to them in such a way that the individual can reach their meal. They were able to find a rolling tray that he could use that pushed up to his wheelchair. Then that disappeared so he is no longer able to eat in the dining facility. Charges and billing for things that are never received. These are just a few of the things our family has experienced. There is obviously a lack of training and leadership here. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. We would love to pull them out but at their ages, they don't want to have to go through another move. If you have a loved one here and truly care about them, keep an eye on their care. Make sure they are getting what they are paying for and that they deserve. We are truly disappointed.

I fell asleep for one hour after the caregiver arrived and my "caregiver " apparently decided to make a swift exit for the front door! Additionally, the front door was left unlocked on the way out, leaving me in a dangerous and precarious position when I was least able to handle a situation like that. My pain medications were missing as well, unfortunately. When I contacted BrightStar about my experience, the owner/ manager could have cared less. Very indifferent to the care their organization provides. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business at all costs.

The residents here are happy and it shows. There are many activities to be involved in regardless of ability. The dining room is ran superbly and the food is great. The tenure of the employees at Wesley Manor is unparalleled with staff members having 15, 20, 25, 30 and yes even 40 years of service at Wesley Manor. This shows personal commitment and dedication. When my time comes I hope to be a resident at Wesley Manor.
