Tony was quick to respond, came when scheduled, and he and his assistant did a very nice job on my vaulted ceiling to match what was there in a swirl pattern. Also did a great job on patchwork. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Tony and his crew. We needed to have repairs done quickly and Tony responded on a Sunday, came out the same day and took a look at the project. He scheduled us that week and by Monday of the following week, everything (including painting) was completed. The quality of the work is excellent. Even more remarkable is how they made sure that everything in our residence was protected and there was no mess afterward. read more

I had water leak in my ceiling into three rooms on my first floor. It was a big job and I knew it would cost a good amount of money. Tony & his crew were punctual, professional, and polite. A few weeks later we realized our gutters were filled with nails and roofing material so he came out within the week to clean them bit at the time we noticed a few shingles that were coming up. He said he would have better materials to get on my steep roof at Christmas and would come out in the spring of 2021. I have tried to call him since June ( its now sept) I did have him scheduled for a day in August but he was a no show., cant get a hold of him via tha internet, website, facebook, company phone, or personal cell phone. Very disappointed he is not standing behind his work. At least if he doesn't want to do anything or fix my roof he should at least have the decency to tell me himself.

I also needed some help getting a new wind stop/chain installed on a swinging screen door in the basement. They were the only service I reached out to who asked for specific details about the jobs before providing a quote, which is a great way to do business. They also provided a real time of expected arrival instead of something like a four-hour window taking up your entire day. They arrived a little before the time quoted with two people - one the main handyman and one being trained. They did a prompt and excellent job and the cost was very fair. We were assigned Pat to do our bathroom, wow was he very nice, charming, polite and professional. It was nice to have that for the first time. They provided us information from the beginning on the amount of days it would take, they'd be here from 8-4 daily Monday-Friday. They were on target with that. The previous contractor that did my other bathroom would show up at 10 AM, leave for 2 hour lunch at 11:30 and work and hour and go home. I didn't have to deal with that with this place. They came in and did a job as specified. Our bathroom was outdated from the 1990's and he modernized it to our liking. He did an outstanding job with our bathroom, I couldn't of asked for anything better. I've attached before, after and in between the final job. In fact, in my review I stated that all I asked for was the curtesy to let me know you'd decided you were no longer interested in the job. I left a voicemail, asking if you'd decided not to do it. It would not have required you to drop anything to take less than 30 seconds to reply to the text I had sent with the photos and say you were no longer interested. That would have demonstrated a level of professionalism and common courtesy that should be a cornerstone of your business. Instead, you decide to respond to this review three years later with a passive-aggressive reply that only serves to make you look incredibly unprofessional. No part of my review was unreasonable, and the resolution that I said I hoped for was completely fair. Sending a text message would not have endangered your life or your health, but it would have gone a long way to showing that you're a decent person who cares about doing right by people, even when you aren't going to take the job.

They also vacuumed up afterward. Price was very reasonable, and when they say no job too small, they mean it. I would definitely call them again. Nice guys, too.

I also requested several quotes for this work to repair my deck - Alan came in at a very reasonable rate. Much more so than some of the other quotes and the work he did was of high standard. See photo of the time he took to sand the edges of the handrails; he also took special care to choose high quality boards. Even when he ended up realizing that there would need to be additional work to be done that would come at an additional cost to me, he made sure to talk me through my options, he made recommendations, and never forced me into anything. Instead, he worked with me to find solutions that would result in a safe, quality deck and also at a cost that I could manage. Jason and his team renovated the whole basement by installing drywall, replacing the drop ceiling with a conventional ceiling and new lighting, and covering the entire floor with functional but attractive laminate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were involved in the design and satisfied with the results. In addition, they replaced our kitchen floor, which had some water damage, with beautiful ceramic tile to complement the existing quartz counters. This is the second major project Jason has done for us. He previously remodeled a bathroom for us, replacing all the fixtures and flooring, as well as installing a pocket door. We are very happy with all the work that was done and would highly recommend Building Buddies.
