my daughter completed a course after receiving a speeding ticket. the certificate of completion does not have the citation number as required by our state. I called the 800 number and after a prolonged wait on hold was told my daughter took the wrong course and that the website is very clear. The website is not clear and gives two options - a class for point reduction and a class for court mandated. As my daughter was not mandated by the court to take the class we chose the other course for point reduction. The representative was unhelpful, refused to offer any type of assistance and simply repeatedly spoke over me saying the website is very clear. Woukd not recommend as there are many other on,one traffic schools out there. read more

I think this was my first time doing traffic school, and should I ever have to partake again, I would look to this school for doing so. I found the registration easy to do, and the course itself was easy to navigate as well. Everything is done online, so it sure beats going to some location, and sitting through a class and what not. There's several quizzes, and a final exam; the final exam is open book/notes. You do need a passing score on the quizzes to move on to the next sections of the course. The course can be finished in perhaps an hour or even less, it really depends. There is a certain time limit you need to spend though on the course. There's a lot of detailed information with lots of tidbits. Follow the directions that are required (certain amount of time you need to spend etc), and take the course. Per the review from Brian, I went with Traffic 101. There are so many choices of online traffic schools that it's tough to know which is best/cheapest/easiest. Traffic 101: -Took me a few hours to complete -Cost $29.95 ($24.95 plus $5.00 for verification) The program is broken down into 4 sections. After each section you answer a quiz. You'll need to answer all of them correctly to move to the next section. The test at the end is over all 4 sections (the questions are in the same format/wording from quiz to test). It's easy to get started, and if you have a webcam set-up already it makes it even quicker. For my ticket (Orange County) I was able to submit the certificate online. I have no idea if this is the cheapest/quickest option... I'm hoping this will be the only time I have to enroll in "school". I definitely recommend this option! read more

After doing lots of online research INTO online traffic school, this had some big recommendations. 1) You are required (and will) spend 6 hours minimum in your traffic school. Unlike some, this course you can complete as fast as you need - however, you WILL have to stay logged in for the full time until you can then take the final test. But that's fine, or just take segments and work around the house/office while you take your time with it. I did laundry when I finished sections, cleaned the place. Made a nice mental break and I still did ALL the sections with full reading and comprehension. Not cheating - i did it all - but not torture that makes you wait and wait and wait... I chose this site based on the Yelp reviews. Please be aware that even if you fly through the content of the 4 sections in less than one hour you won't be able to take the final test until you've spent 400 minutes on the site. I think this is required by law, so it's not Traffic101's fault, BUT if you read the reviews below you too might think you can be done in no time. Not true...I finished all but the final exam almost an hour ago, and I still have 295 minutes to go until I can really call it a done deal. I just took this online traffic school test and it was very straightforward and easy. Only took me about 45 minutes. Unlike other online tests I have taken there were no trick questions or questions that were not addressed in the material. Website was very well constructed, test materials easy to read and understand. Basically, a minimalist model without a lot of unnecessary videos, examples, etc. I sped right through it with no problem and passed with an 88 score. You are required to sit on each page as a timer counts down. There are also some ID checks they ask for several times during the test: "Enter your driver's license number." GREAT traffic school if you a) wanna pass, b) wanna get done in a hurry from the comfort of your home or workplace and c) don't want to have to read the whole text. Yes, I admitted to that. ;) I'll also admit to being a third-timer for online traffic schools, so I do have some basis of comparison. Yes, they time you, but they only go by the TOTAL time, so you can do the whole thing at once if you want. Then you can go do something else while you wait for the timer to run out so you can take the test. This is even a decent course if you have a sense of citizenship and actually want the users to come out of it knowing more than they did before they took the course. I'm going to say 2-3 hours. There are prep quizs which are also open book. DO NOT BOTHER with the coupons, just pay the $24.95 California. Trust me you will get spammed to death otherwise. Its' not worth it. I do however recommend this website for this type of process ( driving infraction). Its easy, safe (HTTPS://) and once you have completed all the test and PASSED, traffic 101 will electronically send the confirmation to the DMV , and then the courts. Flexible hours - start and stop when convenient... that's what caught my attention. Clear, concise, well-written text is what got me through! I spread it out over three days when I had the spare time. And each time I came back, it brought me to exactly where I left off. Also, having a "progress gauge" helped keep my spirits us, as I marched through the class. Each chapter quiz prepared me for the final - passed first time through. The text is very practical and straight forward, while obviously meeting the State's criteria. They are so sure of themselves, you can start taking the class BEFORE you pay, so even spending 10 minutes to look over the ACTUAL class is better than any review I could ever give. read more

Watch out for these people if you have tech issues. I kept getting logged off before being able to do any course work and called tech support. Tech support is very unfriendly and says "it's on you". I used a PC with the latest IE browser and that is NOT compatible with their website. Neither is Bing. I had to download Firefox, which I didn't want on my computer, and that appears to function. They should be up front about tech issues and state browser compatibility clearly, and not be complete a-holes when you call for support. There are too many other online traffic schools for you to waste you time with these losers. IE is by far the most popular browser in the world. read more

Pretty great course for traffic school. Obviously, nobody's happy about having to do traffic school, but this format is set up well so that you can get through this fairly quickly. I got through in a few hours. Pay attention to the "Test Yourself" questions at the end of most pages; the quiz questions are based on them. The Final Exam questions are a selection of the same quiz questions Make sure you read their Course Description instructions in the Control Panel so that you will be able to find the information needed to answer the Security Questions. Security Questions are irrelevant questions designed to make sure that you read the whole passage. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is that occasional answer choices are poorly worded. read more

This is a review for the Texas driving school, which may be different than the other courses. It is absolutely awful. Full of glitches and problems, which customer service blames on my browser. No. I used three different browsers and had problems in each. I have a new computer and all the required plug-ins. And the videos are more than 20 years old! They are VHS that have have been digitized. Not only that but one of the quiz question answers was completely wrong, which I informed them about, but they didn't seem to care. It is just the worst. Watch out. If you take this course, make sure you understand that you CANNOT get very far into it without a webcam you either have to buy on your own, or receive from the school through the mail. They DO NOT TELL YOU until AFTER you have paid with a credit card that you CAN"T get more than about 20 percent through before the course doesn't let you progress farther without the webcam. If you have plenty of time and are comfortable hooking up a webcam (or already have one) that's no problem. If you need to finish within a couple of days, and/or aren't tech savvy, it's a big problem because it takes time for the webcam to come in the mail (unless you pay a large shipping fee). Added to that, the customer service rep told me that in Texas, where I live, if I didn't have the webcam I would have to go take the test in front of a notary. Turns out that is false info. She was pretty snotty, even when I said the court clerk said she was wrong. In my view the course is also poorly done. So I'm going to try to get my $ back and go with a reputable online course i found that requires no cumbersome webcam ID verification and which gave me accurate information rather than baloney. read more

Compare that to $51.95 for comedytrafficschool.com. No hidden fees here, but you will have to pay more express delivery (no surprise here) TIME: Took about 2 hours total, though I was taking my time. Four sections to read + four quizzes + Final Exam. Some reviews mentioned they had to wait a few hours before taking the final, but I didn't find that true here. It is probably state/county specific. DIFFICULTY: Questions are pretty easy, though many are poorly worded. If English is not your first language, you may lose some time trying to figure out what they are saying. This is why they get 4-stars. Quizzes throw in a couple of questions about the author like his favorite vegetable. That's just to make sure you're paying attention. However, as with much else about this idiot tax they call getting cited by the law ... I feel cheated. They give you one price on their website, then they charge you another. Here's how: 1. skip all the readings, watch the video, make sure you put attention of the color of the cars ( you will understand as you go along ) 2. Do the quizess and answer those question (usually three multiple choice questions) 2. If you get it wrong, they will show you the right answers and you can retry the quiz as many times as you want. 3. Just take the final exam, you will have 3 hours to finish. 4.
