I stopped in on a Sunday to get spark plugs for my car, and they didn't have them in stock. The extremely helpful and personable person who helped me explained that he didn't have them in stock, and offered two options. He said I could run down to Cost Less Auto Parts and get them there, because that's where he was ordering them from, or I could come back in the morning, and they'd have them for me. I was extremely appreciative of his transparency, and opted to come back in the morning. One thing that really impressed me about the person who helped me is that I was next in line while he tended to a customer. While he took care of that customer, the phone rang, and he answered, asking the caller to "please hold". After he finished with his customer, he called me over to the counter. I asked, "Do you need to get that call?", and he responded, "No. You were here before they called. They're next." That was really impressive! I cannot count the number of times employees tending to me ignored me the instant a phone call came in, when they really should have done exactly what the Tony's Auto Parts employee did for me. The next morning, I called to see if my spark plugs had arrived, and the person who helped me was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. He checked and confirmed that my spark plugs had arrived. When I got to the store, the person who called me to the counter was the same person I'd spoken with on the phone, and he grabbed my spark plugs and got them to me immediately. I asked if they sold dielectric grease and anti-seize, and he said that they did. He then went to the aisle that had them, grabbed a tube of each, and brought them to me at the counter. He said that they were out of the small pouches of anti-seize, but I didn't need the big tube. He double-checked, and found more of the tiny pouches, and sold me one of those. He could have directed me to the aisle to fend for myself, but he really did an awesome job of providing outstanding customer service. The store is much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside, and they offer a much larger inventory of miscellaneous parts than you'll find at the big chains (such as a HUGE selection of hardware of various grades, racing fuel, specialty tools, etc.). I'm very impressed with Tony's Auto Parts, and will probably be stopping by very regularly since my car's now out of warranty. Tony's definitely feels like a more personal, personable, and "home town" parts store than the big chains, and that is a great thing!

While he acknowledged that our calls should have been returned, most of his response focused on why Ron's Auto & RV is not responsible for property stolen from customer vehicles left on their lot. Our RV was broken into while in their possession, and items including camping equipment and our registration decal were stolen. Comparing an RV left at a repair facility for weeks to a vehicle parked at Walmart misses the point entirely. Customers leave their vehicles with a repair shop expecting a reasonable level of security and accountability. What concerns me most is not the theft itself, but the apparent lack of concern afterward. The focus seemed to be on avoiding liability rather than addressing why a long-time customer's property was stolen while on their property. The mechanics may do good work, but based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value security, communication, and accountability.

Ron's found that the coolant was low, dirty & watered down. They did a coolant exchange, but the problem persisted. They had to completely remove all coolant and ran a cleaner through the system. Then they put in new coolant. This told us that the new radiator (from the previous shop) had been filled with old original coolant plus water!!! I highly recommend this shop.

We bought it from out of state without seeing it, so all the paperwork was done by email/mail. Communication was lacking on the back end, after we had agreed on a price. The paperwork came from Haugen RV, which was odd; no one told me it would come from someone other than Funtime. They also sent all the paperwork to the incorrect address, despite my written instructions with correct address, which took a week or so to figure out. They required that we send full payment based on a one page purchase order with no details as to their obligations to inspect, clean, etc. and before providing any report from the "pre-delivery inspection." They said this was standard procedure, but I thought it seemed strange. I would prefer to know if something turned up on the inspection and to know what each party is agreeing to before sending full payment. More troubling was the filthy condition in which the trailer was delivered to us. The salesperson at Funtime stated by text: "Its in very good shape needs a detail which we will do and a pre delivery inspection." The Haugen general manager who handled the purchase paperwork also confirmed it would be cleaned before shipping. However, it arrived with dirt on the floor and in the drawers/cabinets and smudges and cobwebs on the walls. The bathroom was particularly dirty (see photos). The exterior was also in need of a good scrubbing as the trailer had been stored outside. I emailed the manager to let her know we were disappointed that it was not detailed as promised before delivery (or at least given a basic cleaning!!) and did not receive a response. Spending a weekend cleaning out the previous owner's grime wasn't supposed to be part of the deal. It certainly left us with a bad impression of this dealership.

But I can get a cushion replacement if I buy $1200 in ceramic wax job. I bought a better mattress on Amazon for $200 and a bottle of wax for $20. I am $1000 ahead on that alone. The trailer was poorly prepared. Solar not hooked up. Lug nuts not torqued. Sunset 139T. One lug took a full rotation the rest where at about 46 ftlbs. Buy a torque wrench and check your wheels. Not Funtime but terrible electrical work on this rig. Loose live wires. The leaf spring shackle bolt was not tightened. Could have died coming down Santiam Pass. I do like the 139T toy hauler but having to go through a new rv and make it safe sucks. There is a yellow wire on the same screw as the battery before the fuse just hanging out. The reverse wire from pigtail was cut in the household metal junction box, not capped. The fuse from the battery is loose in a metal box exposed terminals that can short out. I got lucky and the axle did not fall off. I found the spring shackle bolts where loose when installing SumoSprings. I have photos and videos. The last photo is at the dealer with a tangle of wires hanging down. That should have stopped me. When they prep it they mean cut the shrink wrap off the cushions. Washington people don't pay tax twice for one sale $1742.27 on $20259 rv plus Wa. Sales tax. I wish had would have noticed. I took my papers to Wa DOL and the wrong amount was withheld for Wa tax. $1782.59 So no plate and when they receive the wrong amount Wa DOL will send it back. Trip permits added cost.
