On delivery day, we arrived and went through the typical walkthrough and sales pitch for extra this and that. After dodging the hook to spend a few additional thousand, we hooked up the trailer and low and behold, the weight of the trailer tongue was so great that the chains dragged on the ground. Sooo, we needed a weight distributing hitch. The sales guy pointed us to their "best design" and being mid-afternoon, we allowed them to install the hitch. Next day, I did the research I should have done before buying the hitch and discovered that their markup was $150 more than their competitor. I asked for an adjustment and was denied. Lesson to learn - the RV place will almost always charge more for accessories than you can get them for if you shop around. Their argument for not providing the adjustment was that everyone else pays the price I paid - which means that everyone else gets stuck in the same situation I was in and reluctantly agrees to help improve their margin.

So I called to book an appointment for my first travel trailer that needed some fixing. I asked…read morethem to fix the leak behind the toilet and to replace the faucet because it was leaking all over. When I arrived bill set me up. I backed up my trailer and left it with a mechanic. I went and got lunch at Carl's Jr. 20-30 goes by and I came back and talked to the mechanic. He pointed out some things that was wrong with the trailer. The leak I mention and needing a new faucet. He said they should be easy fixes and replace. He also told me about my city water having a leak that might need to be replaced. I said ok I have to get back to work and ask him how much. He said he doesn't handle the billing bill does. I dropped it on a Friday and got a call on Tuesday. He sent me the invoice. They charge me 1 hour to check the faucet that I already told them need to be replaced. And .5 hour at checking the toilet. I was already aware of and he only spent 20-30 mins too and got all the info he needed already but they want to charge me 199 an hour at 1.5 hours..... I asked if those will be included in when they repair / replace it. They said no they another 2 hour of work... I felt ripped off and scammed.

Material Non-Conformities and Defects in the Trailer: Awning not installed Rooftop tent installed on the wrong side, covering and obstructing the solar panels Ceramic coating most likely not applied as represented Electrical components showing sun damage Propane tank is rusty Roof rack is rusty Ladder and attached ladder roof hardware not installed Unnecessary, Undisclosed, and Misunderstood Fees and Add-Ons: $2,290 for a two-year protection plan she did not request and which is redundant with the insurance policy already provided. $1,599 for paint protection that was not applied, not requested, and not understood. Battery service plan she did not understand or request. Bluetooth brake control she does not understand or need. PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) for a travel trailer that her vehicle does not require. Hundreds of dollars in filing fees and taxes, and failure to offer her the option to tag and register the trailer herself. My mother did not fully understand many of these charges at the time of signing, and they were not adequately explained. Several appear to be unauthorized upsells or redundant products. These practices, combined with the physical defects and the earlier incident where she waited over six hours for promised vehicle service (forcing her to walk in the rain), demonstrate a clear pattern of taking advantage of an elderly customer.

After the one year service contract ran out......we bought this two years ago......we've spent WAY too much money trying to keep it going. I have a fat file of repair receipts. It was obviously broken in to and so the door doesn't latch properly. The power shade for the front window doesn't work so we put in a manual one. There is a battery drain somewhere that drains the battery so it won't start without jumping. Two different RV repair places cannot solve it. SO many other things. Yes. We bear responsibility for not realizing all of the problems before we bought it but if we'd known the whole back story we wouldn't have considered it. We're in our eighties. Heartbroken.
