Very disappointed in this restaurant as it looked so promising. The Deviled Eggs were good but the radish on top needs to be in strips or smaller pieces. It lodged in my throat as I swallowed. My husband liked the Ahi Tostada. The Burger was ordered medium rare and served well done. Alyx offered to have it remade but we didn't have time. It was also much smaller than the bun and dry. The fries were excellent. They are Brabant style (twice fried) and were beautiful and nicely seasoned. If only all of the food was that good. Prices are high for the quality of food. Free parking in the hotel lot.

First time at Devil's Kitchen in Grand Junction and we were really impressed! This charming restaurant sits on top of a hotel and offers absolutely beautiful views -- the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch. We started with cocktails: my girlfriend had a prosecco with a hint of lavender (so refreshing!), and I had the Wild West Prickly Pear Spritz -- light, flavorful, and delicious. For starters, we shared the deviled eggs and a unique crabcake Rangoon -- both were fantastic. The presentation was top-notch and everything tasted as good as it looked. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we'd return to. Highly recommend for both the food and the atmosphere!

This restaurant is atop the Maverick Hotel. It was recommended for us to go here while we were in town. We heard it was pricey, so we went for lunch. 2 people, was about 50$. Appetizer and two lunches, no drinks, we had water. The service was great, we were seated quickly and everyone was kind and friendly. Our appetizer and food was timely and delicious! We were not too fond of the lavender ranch , but that is personal preference. The sourdough bread was amazing!!! The restaurant seating was spaced out nicely, well lit for lunch, and not too loud. We'll definitely stop here again!

7 of us Stopped in last week for a celebratory dinner of a friends upcoming wedding. We asked to be seated in the roof outside but when we got there we were inside. We ordered cocktails that were all super tasty (try the lavender lemon drop with gin). After ordering drinks it seemed to take a long time to order food. I tried the filet mignon medium rare with potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The meat was okay. The potatoes needed gravy or a sauce. Hated the Brussel sprouts and should have gotten the asparagus. To say the meal was just okay after spending $65 for it... that's not great. After dinner we ordered dessert- the brownie with ice cream and the bananas foster. We got the brownie very quickly but it took ages for the bananas foster. We ended up being there way longer than intended. The staff were nice and friendly but the food for me was lacking.

I came with a group of co-workers and we had a large group. I had made reservations and needed to add a couple seats and they were extremely accommodating. I really appreciated it! Everyone enjoyed their food and we had a lovely time here. I personally ordered the Devil's Burger which was quite delicious. I love me some candied bacon! I would say I'm definitely impressed with the food, service, and overall ambiance of the restaurant!

First time here. Just passing through from AZ to WY, decided to look up a local restaurant in Grand Junction and this place popped up. Did not disappoint, made a reservation but was running late, the hostess was welcoming and the server was on top of it. Beautiful dinning room, great view, small menu packed full of delicious local ingredients and wines. The taste, food is of great quality and worth it. Be careful it's yummy certified!

Very disappointing!! The restaurant itself is beautiful and very spacious! There is also an outside dining patio with a fabulous view!! The service combined with the poorly executed food was terrible and completely unexpected!! When we initially arrived we were immediately seated (outside - per our request) and our server appeared just as we were taking our seats to bring us waters. What a great start!! right!? Sadly it went downhill from there. It was maybe 15 minutes before she came back to take our drink and appetizer order . Additionally it seemed as if all of our initial choices (cocktail wise) were unavailable We finally settled on a bottle of wine and the Colorado wild sausage chefs board. Both were great!! The sun was beginning to set so we quickly ordered our entrees (30 mins later) the first chance we got to get our servers attention . The patio grew dark and no one bothered to turn on the lights for us so when our food arrived, I had to use the light on my cell phone to see it. It was so over salted that neither of us could enjoy it. The veggies were also overcook (burnt) and it was dissatisfying. Last ditch effort was worth it!! We ordered the mini donut holes and they were yummy! I wouldn't go back but if I happened to stay at the hotel on a future trip, I might order the donuts to go to my room

Amazing burger and duck fat potatoes (my husband started eating the burger so it's not the best photo of it)

We had an amazing lunch at Devil's Kitchen! We sat outside with a beautiful view. Our server, (I believe his name was Ryland) gave us a great recommendation for the green chile queso that was so yummy (we ate it before I thought to take a photo). My husband ordered the burger with duck fat potatoes and I got the taco special of the day which was a Cajun salmon with chimichurri sauce on corn tortillas. My tacos were fantastic and very flavorful! My husband is picky about his burgers and really loved it. Absolutely delicious. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly and we would definitely go back if we're ever in the area again.

Fabulous! We sat at a table with a beautiful view. The menu is fun and has a wonderful selection. Cocktails are well executed. Had a smoke old fashioned. Wonderful. Ordered a sausage appetizer. Wild game. Three choices. Beautiful. Split a rib eye that was cooked perfectly and had a butter on top to die for. The duck chips (potatoes with a little bit of duck fat on them) were amazing. The broccolini was a fail. Roasted. Tough and hard to eat. This is a place I could return to many times.

I came here on Sunday evening and had a really disappointing experience. We made a reservation ahead of time for the outside patio, and were super excited for dinner. Service was extremely poor. We were seated and it took 15 minutes before someone brought water. It seemed like other tables were having issues with service too. One of the tables around us had their items cleared before they were finished, and another table had dietary restrictions and the server wasn't knowledgeable about what was on the menu. They were out of the cocktail I wanted so I ordered a substitute and the server was kind enough to comp the cocktail. We split a burger with fries and broccolini. It was good, but the menu said the fries would be truffle yucca fries and they were clearly just regular potato. I was expecting a fine dining experience and was really disappointed with our dinner. I wouldn't come back or recommend this place.

Amazing drinks! Can't remember the name but it was peach and habanero. I had 2!

Amazing! First time here and will be back. We tried a handful of different appetizers and the burger. Everything was great.

    Crème Brulee was great!

This was the first time I visited this place but it won't be the last! The food and service was very good! The ambiance was also above standards! I wish I could eat from restaurants like this more often. I had the duck entree but didn't get a pic of it.

Preparation can suffer, with key elements (tomato, patty, onion, etc.) sliding around each other, invariably slipping out. Excessive grease and an overall unhealthy result often ensues. Here, it seems that extreme attention was paid to everything. From the meat itself being grass fed black angus, to the tasty char / charbroil taste present in its preparation, to the cheese that seemed to perfectly complement the patty, to the unique approach that they used to triple sear the bacon for me-- it all worked perfectly tonight. This was not only a delicious cheeseburger, but the quality of ingredients, likely proving beneficial to your health. While I skipped the French fries as they use canola or vegetable oil (seed oil), making them a problem for me, the dinner salad was substituted. But with the side salad, the chef's attention to detail also emerged. It was replete with interesting and somewhat unusual, but healthful and rewarding ingredients as well. Service, pricing and atmosphere are all great. I'd say that for the $22 charged, you end up with a truly memorable cheeseburger. Worded another way, this tasted homemade. To buy these ingredients and prepare them with care, as they did here, doesn't happen by accident. While there are far more exotic and interesting "high-brow" items on the menu, if this is representative, the restaurant has some great offerings and genuine talent in the kitchen. I look forward to returning.

I was waiting a good 15 minutes before she got on the clock. It's funny how things work out. Bailey took my order of two hotdog, mustard and onions, and almost immediately the blonde bartender, I think her name is Taryn put dirty plates right in front of me. The dirty plates sat there a few minutes and when Bailey brought the dogs out she took away the plates for my request and apologized. When I asked Bailey for the bill, I was surprised to find a charges of $.50 for mustard and $1.00 for onions. I truly love a good hot dog and these were pretty good. I wish they were grilled, but I came to found out this establishment steams their dogs and they are a grill less & greaseless. Very green and I respect that. But a dog deserves a grill. I give Bailey five stars for service. The other person named Tyron, one star.

Amazingly, finding someone that knows how to cook a steak can be difficult. After quick Google and Yelp searches, we learned about the Winery. I made a reservation online, and I'm glad I did because it is a busy place. Located in an alley, the historic building used to house a horse drawn carriage fire station. Pretty cool to think about. To me the building was quite charming. I loved the outside walls covered in vines and the old wooden door that opened into quaint, cozy rooms covered in wood and old bricks with beautiful stained glass windows. I felt like I had stepped back in time to an old timey tavern. When we arrived, our table was ready. We ordered a couple of drinks and decided to go straight for our meal. I decided on the 6 ounce filet. It was locally sourced and wrapped in apple wood smoked bacon. I asked for medium well and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered a loaded baked potato to go with it. It was a delicious meal, and I had leftovers for the next day. For the amount of food we got, the service and the quality of the meal. Then he started explaining what the Oscar topping option and it was just too much, so I told him we understood the basics. Our first time, we received a description of the specials and asked if we had other questions about the menu - perfectly appropriate. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops which we've had plenty of time, but these were topped with an apricot chili sauce that totally overpowered the taste of the scallop. All you could taste was the bacon and what tasted like a barbecue sauce - not an apricot chili glaze. We'll never order those again. The steaks were perfectly cooked as always, but the baked potatoes were luke warm and barely hot enough to melt the butter and definitely not hot enough to melt the cheese. We had a show to attend so there was no time to send anything back. At this point, we're not hurrying back for another dinner for 2 with a $300 price tag, which includes a $130 bottle of wine.
