You want to hear about the worst experience I've ever had? Well, I visited their store on a Tuesday to find a trailer for my new business. I chose a trailer and intended to pay cash that day. However, the salesman convinced me to take out a loan to help build my credit. He instructed me to go online and reserve the trailer for a dollar, and they would hold it for a week. So, I engaged in a conversation with the salesman, went online to reserve the trailer, and even had him double-check that it was reserved. I spoke to the staff in the front office several times throughout the week to check in. I scheduled an appointment for that Saturday to purchase the trailer. While I was scrolling online, I noticed that the trailer was listed as sold. Initially, I thought it might be due to my reservation, but I called the store and spoke to Camden, the manager. I verified that my trailer, which I had already selected, was still on the lot. This incident occurred on Friday, and I wanted to confirm before proceeding with the financing paperwork with my wife. Camden assured me that the trailer was still reserved and that I had a 1:30 PM appointment on Saturday to pick it up. Therefore, I completed the financing paperwork, approved the loan for my wife and me, and arrived at the store on Saturday to collect the trailer. To my dismay, they had sold the trailer! They never informed me, let me know, or attempted to reach out to give me a heads up. I had spoken to them several times throughout the week to inquire about the status of the trailer and let them know that we were working on the financing, but no one mentioned anything about it. Let me tell you about the appalling customer service that almost surpasses the charges I incurred. My wife and I had already checked our credit scores, so they were already affected. We filled out all the paperwork, and apparently, they added another trailer's VIN number to my application without my consent. We were approved for the loan and everything else. When I arrived at the store, they immediately attempted to sell me a different trailer before even informing me that my trailer was unavailable. Despite all this, I only received a generic apology. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but these incidents occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2025, and I find it unbelievable that a company would allow me to go through the entire process of purchasing a trailer and then sell it without informing me. What's the point of reserving a trailer if it's not actually reserved? Furthermore, I felt that they didn't disclose this information because they were aware that I had already completed the financing process. They believed they could sell two trailers instead of just the one by selling the one without informing me. I even offered to pay cash for it on the very first day I visited, but instead, I attempted to follow what I perceived as sound advice. Now, I realize that I was severely mistaken. To add insult to injury, I was supposed to have this trailer ready this weekend for an upcoming job, and now I have to cancel it. This is a significant financial loss for me and my family. If I had the option, I would give them no stars. I strongly advise anyone against visiting that store in Portland, Oregon. One more thing, and I'll stop here. I found a different trailer in Eugene, Oregon, and the salesman tried to convince me that it was a better trailer and that I was getting a better deal. However, when I did some research, I discovered that it was the same exact trailer as the one I had originally wanted, and there was nothing better about it. Additionally, it wasn't the color I had originally desired. Oh, and I have to drive all the way to Eugene to get a trailer that will work for my business, which means another $240 in cash. I wouldn't even be considering buying a trailer from this place if they hadn't already run our credit and approved a loan, which has negatively impacted our credit score. Furthermore, I won't have it in time for a major project that I had already bid on, and now I have to cancel it. Oh, and here's something else: there's a guy named Vladimir who left a review three days ago, driving away with my trailer hooked up. That was supposedly reserved for me. It's just another slap in the face. Well, at least one of us had a good experience, I suppose. Sorry this is such a long review, but I hope it helps others avoid this. If you've read all of this, I'm sure you can understand why I'm so angry. read more

### After speaking with the Office Manager today I have learned that the employee who handled the repair is no longer employed there and I felt that the Manager I spoke with was sincere. If needed in the future I will be giving them another shot #### Had an appointment for 10:00am to replace one of the stabilizers on my 12 foot cargo trailer.. Dropped it off at 9:30am and was told 1:00pm at the latest. When they hadn't called me by 1:30pm I called them..After some hemming and hawing around, I was told they were just about done and they would call me shortly. I decided just to show up and got there at 1:50pm. Turns out they hadn't even started it. I could see why. Someone with a big 5th wheel showed up with no appointment and they were just finishing up a substantial repair for him. I asked him why they haven't started it yet and I got some more hemming and hawing and then was told it's because they had just finished up my trailer inspection(which I never requested and I'm sure wasn't done). I said "So why did an inspection of a single axle 12foot cargo trailer take 4 hrs. He said well we had to break for lunch... Then he turned his attention back to the guy with the 5th wheel and was trying to talk real low and lead the guy around the front of his trailer so he could tell him everything he did to it without me hearing.. The guy says Where ya going, the repairs you did were in the back.. Then he had to explain everything they did 10feet from me where I heard everything.. The lying repair guy wouldn't even look me in the face after that.Started my repair which only took 20minutes and then his buddy comes along and says hey, when are you going to take your lunch? Those burritos were excellent.If you don't want yours I'll take it home for dinner.. Lied to repeatedly... I assume the repair is correct because my new stabilizer functioned properly but I never got down that low to look at the welding.. But I really don't have much choice because my trailer is a Trailers Plus product and they had the part on hand..In the future I will try somewhere that's not them if it doesn't require a part that is specific to them..ATTN: **In fairness to Trailers Plus, I neglected to mention that this happened approximately 2 or 3 years ago..And I will be calling as they have requested in their reply.** read more

I bought a trailer fromTrailers Plus in Portland over a year ago. They were easy to deal with and I left feeling happy with the trailer and that I had been treated well. A couple months ago I made an appointment for the one year free service. I took the trailer in at the appointed time and they had the trailer ready at the end of the day. The frame broke in two places on my new 2.5 year old trailer. Total loss! . The response is your warranty is only good for two years...... oh- and if you would like we could sell you a new one. NO THANKS! Look at the frame under prior to buying the nice shinny trailer. I wish I would have. I wanted to purchase a trailer posted on their website and texted the associated number listed. This was around 11:45am on a Saturday. Marsha from Trailer Plus responded quickly and after a short conversation with her we made arrangements for me to come by the Portland lot and look at the trailer at 2:15-30pm. I showed up to the lot a littler early at 2:05pm or so and was waiting until it was closer to my appointment time. NO ONE ELSE WAS HERE AT THE TIME. At around 2:10 an employee came out and asked if I had an appointment to which I responded yes. He's then asked me my name and looked flustered as he motioned for me to come inside. As I came inside an empty office he proceeded to rant about how my name wasn't on the schedule and how they were booked for the rest of the day--they close at 5:30pm. I showed him my text thread and he started ranting about why "they" keep doing this. A second employee joined the rant and was even cursing about "them". He then insisted I need to make another appointment with him and comeback another day. I told them I just want to make sure the trailer was as pictured on the website so I could purchase it for a job on Monday and they were closed after today until Tuesday. Keep in mind--NO OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE PRESENT. They started going on how all the customers are showing up now and they're too swamped to help me--an appointment is the only way they can help me. I once again said I needed it by Monday to which I was told that Trailer City was just up the road and they have the same stuff. As I was leaving a single truck pulled into the lot--too swamped...LOL! WOW... Don't be fooled by the prices they list on the website nor the response via text. I'm not sure they'll actually sell you a trailer. I ended up buying another trailer elsewhere. read more

Went in looking for a trailer. Sales guy was busy so I wandered the lot looking for what I was after. Didn't find it. Sales guy eventually caught up to me and asked if he could help. I told him what I was after and asked him for a rough price. He told me the price with the additional when I can get them and then left the conversation their. I have been buying trailers for my business over a 20 year period. Recently, I tried a different outfit in Portland oregon, Trailers Plus. I have used my trailer for less than 4 months when we got 2 flat tires in the rear. I had our mechanic look at why both would fail and the wear patterns? Turns out the axle is not aligned properly. Distance from each wheel hub is off by 1/4". I never knew to check for this. I took it in thinking the dealer would take care of this, the evidence is right there and the wear on the tires proves it. Well, get ready folks. I was to blame. I "overweighted my trailer" they said. At most we only carry 3 lawn mowers weighing no more than 900lbs max. Didn't matter, this was their story, excuse for not looking further into this. I didn't see how if this was even the case, how it changes the issue I have anyhow. I was told to "pick up my trailer as we need space here" or, I could pay to replace the 2 tires in back. Very rude people once you have made a sale. I picked it up and instantly went over to trailer city down the street, where I have been buying from for over 15 years. BTW, there at Trailer City, you don't need a dumb appointment just to talk to someone or get service! They are going to look at it and determine if hangers under trailer were welded in wrong spots. Very helpful and amazing service department! I plan to pursue legal remedies from this corrupt dealer over at Trailers Plus. Just take a look at their lot, empty!! Trailer City has lots of stock and people there to talk to. Service department as I said is amazing. Don't waist your time with these fraudsters at Trailers Plus! read more

We didn't know a thing about trailers when we walked onto the lot, but Max helped us out and taught us everything we needed to know. He brought out a few different models so we could test them out and make sure our photo booth fit, which we were very thankful for. On the day we came to pick up our new trailer, the spare tire we ordered was already mounted in the trailer by one of their mechanics. Great selections and great people. Thanks guys! read more

I purchased a trailer from these guys a few years back and they were great. I need to get my trailer checked out for a 1200 mile trip next month and have been trying to contact them for the last week. Someone at what sounded like their call center told me that they would have a local employee reach out to me to schedule my service, but I hadn't heard back after about 3 days. I tried calling back and managed to reach someone at the actual store; he told me he would need a manager to call me back in order to schedule my service. (Really? Just to put me on the schedule?) When I told him that I'd already left a message and hadn't received a call back, he became evasive and insisted that he needed his manager to contact me, but that he wasn't currently available. It's been 4-5 more days, and still no call back. I've been trying to call them all morning; my call gets routed to the call center, then continually updates me on which caller I am in line...7th, 4th, next...then drops my call. This has happened six times this morning. When I tried calling Trailer City right down the street, they answered on the first ring and scheduled me for a service right away. Not sure what happened to Trailers Plus, but don't waste your time. They don't want your business, and there are others nearby who do. read more

Horrible customer service. These guys must not want to sell trailers too much. I put a deposit on one, went to pick it up and after driving 45min to get it was greeting with closed gates and no access despite being able to see people working onsite and it being during their posted business hours on a Friday early afternoon. I then called and was told by Levi they would try to "squeeze us in" only to have someone at the gate turn us away and tell us they would call us next week to make an appointment. These guys are impossible to deal with. When you call their local Portland phone number you get routed to Idaho of all places. The people answering the phone so they are have no clue what's going on in the Portland office. Last week I reserved a $12,000 trailer online. Now I go over there to pick it up in the gate is locked. There is a sign on the gate that says to call the number but no one answers the phone it rings and rings and rings. A couple days later I finally get five phone calls in a row from someone while I'm on a business call and guess who it is? It's someone from trailers plus wanted me to come in and pick up my trailer. I was not able to answer the incessant calling but I was able to call them back and guess what? No answer. Voicemail. They did call me back within a few minutes this time and he explained to me that the phone system routes everyone to Idaho. We'd set an appointment up to pick up my trailer but I could not do it for three days because they are only allowing two people on the lot at a time. Due to Covid and them being an outside open air type of company they only allow two customers. That's fine I understand we all have to be patient and understand times are different right now so I set my appointment for Saturday. When I go in the gate is locked again. The gate is locked and I have an appointment to pick up the trailer. These people are unbelievable. I sat there for a while and called the number over and over again but no one answered the phone of course not even anyone in Idaho. I still was choking this up just to minor issues due to Covid but now the guy is calling me off the hook again over and over and over again clogging up my phone line. These people are impossible. Obviously you're going to have to deal with them if you want to buy an interstate trailer and it is a fairly decent product in comparison. But I am going to more seriously consider trailer city that actually answers the phone when I call and is super easy to work with. They're mad max trailer is better quality than this one anyway but you do have to pay more. read more

There was someone else waiting to turn in but the gate was closed. A guy opened the gate for them and started closing it again before we could pull in. He told us they were closed!! I found the trailer that wanted but the closest one they had was almost 300 miles away.after an employee answer a few simple questions that I had and gave me the price I reserved it. I made an appointment to get trailer the following day when I arrived to get trailer the salesman had no people skills what so ever.As I'm looking over trailer I see welds that are extremely poorly done , the brackets on the sides of trailer that normally are used to put a 2x4 in to build wood side wall extensions are not big enough to put a 2x4 in when I asked why they are to small I was told that trailer company does that to prevent people from adding side walls and overloading trailer.so naturally I ask then why put brackets on the trailer and was told I could have a piece of steel welded to bracket to make side wall extension (if by now your confused me to )Next he starts talking about price and how I have to pay extra for a pin that goes through trailer hitch to prevent trailer from coming unhooked and you can't take trailer off lot without it ,the metal plate that goes on the bottom of the jack that allows you to raise and lower trailer cost extra,theres a bracket on trailer for spare tire but spare tire costs extra,there's a document fee, and what I still don't understand a new tire fee(I wasn't getting different tires just the 4 stock ones that come with trailer)when I say that none of that stuff was ever mentioned to me before I was told that that size trailer was in high demand and I could take it or leave it because someone else would bye it before the day ended the only positive thing that came out of whole experience was that a Business a block away had same size trailer with extremely high-quality material and workmanship so I bought that one instead I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody for any reason I had to give them one star so I could post my review but they don't deserve any kind of star read more

I bought a 10k flatbed trailer from these guys a couple of years ago. I thought I got a good trailer. It is now rusting in spots due to bad paint job. The stow away ramps were rusted and needed a coat of paint. They told me i had to buy a trip permit before I left and I did. DMV told me they lied to me. The brand of trailer is called " Carry On". I should have took my business elsewhere. I Have learned my lesson. Always research your purchase before you make a decision. I will not buy from these guys again. I bought a cargo trailer for a specific purpose, to haul an inflated zodiac boat. I trusted the measurements given to me by the trailer dealer, and took it to the boat dealer who loaded it for me without inflation because I was having health problems. I had a couple of open heart surgeries and didn't use the trailer for a few months. The trailer was the wrong size. I called them for advise and they were rude, suggesting that I sell it on craigslist! because they don't deal in used trailers. OK, its not their fault I got sick, but they were worse than no help at all. Then, on top of that, I went to two other trailer dealers who were reputable and learned that my $4200 trailer was worth MAYBE $1800, but they didn't want it at all because the quality is so poor. Both said they get a lot of business from former TrailersPlus customers. There is a reason they don't deal in used trailers! They are junk. read more
