Miguel Vargas sold my family an extremely dangerous dead on arrival continental cargo trailer. Not only did the tire almost burst on a brand new trailer but the wheel well came off on the highway after driving 100 miles. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Les Schwab tires was nice enough to inform me that the tires on this "brand new" trailer were in fact not new at all and were old and used. Customer ordered a trailer. Dealt with 4 different salesman to just get it ordered.. was a cluster. When trailer finally showed up they never inspected it, was there for a week. When I came to pickup the trailer many things were wrong. Took 2 hours to get my spare tire that was missing and paid for. Coupler adjuster was bent. Wiring zip tied in place. I finally was fed up and just took the trailer. Emailed the salesman later with high res pics showing the shotty wiring, rust, and bent/cracked coupler and asked what we could do to fix it. 1 week later no response, but surprise surprise my check was cashed lol. I called Maxxd and they just passed the blame off to Trailer city, which is interesting because Maxxd is just as much in the wrong as they sent the trailer out of texas with zip ties holding the wiring on... I am very disappointed at the lack of customer service, quality control, and attention to detail. Would have taken the lot boy 15 minutes max to go down my build sheet and make sure I had my spare tire, and wiring was correctly routed, coupler adjustable etc PRIOR TO THE CUSTOMER BEING CALLED. what a joke read more

I recieved my "new" maxx d trailer and it came damaged and spray painted !! I paid 27 grand for this ??? Love the trailer but not happy with the dealer or manufacturer. Nor the dealer or manufacturers would address any of my issues and the dealer failed to get Me plates for my trailer for almost 3 months !!! I called and texted maxx d themselves and they told me yea that stuff happens in shipping no big deal . I said yea but what about all the spray paint around the lights in the deck and around the tool box in the deck . Again I was told oh yea that happens . The tool box lid in the front of the trailer is warped and bubbled and looks like it's an old lid . When I received the trailer it definitely doesNot look like a new trailer . I was also not given the in the floor keys for the locking box and I ordered 2 spare tires when I picked it up in December it was missing a spare tire I ordered. I was told by a rep at maxx d he could get me the parts I needed . When I kept calling asking for parts he then told Me "oh sorry you have to go through the dealer you got the trailer from" that was trailer city in. Portland Oregon and they were useless. Trailer city did not process my paperwork to dmv till Feb 21 only cause I threatened to take them to small claims . All buyers please beware they promise to fix and do this and do that . I have purchased several trailers from them for my tree service business. They sell quality trailers and their service is excellent after the sale. Best thing is to go in if you want info on trailers as they are swamped and over the phone won't always get the best results. Night and day better then the trailer dealer down the street. read more

Bought a new trailer from these guys June 2019. In November 2019 I loaded it to about half its rated capacity and started driving across the state toward Idaho. Outside of Pendleton I noticed the fenders were rubbing on and cutting into the tires (the tires were too big for the trailer). I was in Pendleton so I had no choice but to stop at Les Schwab and get new tires, $187. I contacted "Jon" the sales manager at Trailer City and he said he would pay for the tires, just show him the receipt from Les Schwab, which I promptly did. I also sent him a picture of the damaged tires. I followed up with him three times and he still hasn't refunded the money. If you can, I recommend buying a trailer from somewhere else. read more

Today one of my drivers bent the jack on a trailer, quite the predicament. First people I tried were the guys at trailer city, they didn't have the same size Jack and couldn't repair it but They went ahead and bent it back into place. It wasn't a fix but it definitely gave me time to find another place or at least be able to leave it somewhere. The two gentleman who assisted me are Bert and John, they were extremely helpful, kind and most importantly professional. All of this was for free, no taxes included. Never actually gave me pricing on the trailer I wanted to buy. I went in, in person and was told they would call the factory and call me later, I called 17 times over the next week and got nowhere. Jon, the manager, couldn't stop blabering and making jokes long enough to listen to the specs I wanted on the trailer, then wouldn't talk on the phone, but talked through the other salesman, in the background. Don't waste your time if you are on a schedule. I ended up calling another dealer, 100 miles farther away from me, and had pricing within 30 minutes, and they had a deposit for the order within an hour of my first call. read more

Stopped in here or called over the years for various reasons and it's just not worth it. Incredible how grumpy the guys here are. Less than one star. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! My husband purchased a $10-12k trailer from them and after having it parked in the driveway and never leaving it leaked inside, we the took it in and thy caulked some areas which did not fix the leak. Then the panels all started literally popping off and the only place it has been is back to them and straight back home to our driveway. This trailer is under warranty and they have had it for over a month and will not communicate with us after daily calls and voicemails. My husband has shown up in person for them to act annoyed and blow him off. The customer service is so unacceptable. I am in touch with our attorney as we still do not have a replacement trailer or ours returned. I will alos be filing complaint with the BBB. Stopped by today ready to purchase after doing research on the trailer. Was sent out to look at them, was told by the employee working at the desk he would be out in a few minutes. I brought my trailer in for minor electrical repair. Everyone here was so friendly! They got the job done in less than a half an hour, charged me a fair price and even filled up my trailer tires for me without me asking. The guys at Trailer City were helpful, nice and funny too. We wound up there accidentally because the trailer sales yard we were attempting to shop at was unexpectedly closed at 1pm on a Friday. The man at the closed gate of the other trailer sales yard offered no explaination or apology for them being closed during their open hours, so we actually showed up to Trailer City a little grouchy feeling. They quickly had us laughing, it's a relaxed and friendly atmosphere but not in an unprofessional or lax way. Chuck helped us find the exact trailer we wanted. Larry completed our transaction and had lots of useful information for us. They have a big selection and are low pressure. I'd certainly shop there again if I ever need another trailer. read more

They seemed friendly at first.... but then i wanted some clarifications on some specifications. I emailed them twice and no responce, I called asking to talk to the guy who was dealing with our quote (Josh) and kept getting told stories like (he's with a client showing them trailers" "he's out of office/ at lunch etc" each time I left my number and asked for a call back. but never had a call back. I ended out leaving 8 messages over a period of over a month asking him to call back, still no call. so i gave up on chasing them and took my business else ware. Did lots of research on trailers before purchasing and ended up buying a Continental Cargo enclosed trailer. We were told they were such good quality and low maintenance . Less than 3 years after purchasing the paint is coming off on the outside of the trailer. Paint should last longer than 2 years on a brand new product. This isn't covered by warranty. Don't buy a Continental Cargo Trailer, the sales department or warranty team aren't willing to make this right. read more

While there appeared to be a large selection of enclosed cargo trailers, I was surprised by the complete lack of offered assistance.in finding what I needed or to even answer questions. They must be doing fairly well because they did not seem to care about my wanting to purchase 2 trailers. If you know exactly what you want and do not have questions, then I suppose this is the place for you. As for me, I am taking my business elsewhere, where they at least seem to care. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. My husband and I walked in to the office and saw one salesman helping a customer. We waited for about 5 minutes before he looked over and asked if we needed help. We said yes and mentioned there were two other couples that came in after us that needed help also. He said "Well I'm in the middle of a sale so what do you need?".. We told him we were looking for an enclosed trailer and he told us "just go look outside.". We headed out to their lot to look, followed by the two other couples. We all walked past a group our 3 men sitting on a golf cart chatting who said nothing to us. We assumed they must not work there. We we're wrong. We walked around the lot browsing trailers for 15 minutes without anyone coming out to help. We saw a few guys driving around in golf carts but no one came over to help a single person. Another customer stopped a man on a forklift and requested help. He told them he would get someone to come out. One salesman came out to help. There was 4 couples and a single gentleman looking at trailers and this poor salesman was trying to juggle between everyone. My husband was also very disappointed in the quality of the trailers and the fact that the ones he saw online we're not in the lot. We ended up leaving with our cash still in our pocket and we will never be back. read more

I recently visited Trailer City in search of a utility trailer. When I entered the office I was immediately greeted by several people, all with smiles on their faces and was asked if I would like some coffee and doughnuts. I met Loren who took me back to the lot filled with various brands of utility trailers. He offered information about the different types that they offer there. I chose a PJ, 5' x 10' trailer. With the spare wheel/tire the price came in just under $2,000 which I think is remarkable. No other trailer company I found online came close in terms of the great price. Daniel and a couple of other employees from the yard came to help get my new trailer ready to go. Everyone was kind and considerate and made me feel like I was a valued customer. I highly recommend Trailer City for any kind of trailer needs. If I am in need of another trailer or repair I will definitely only go to Trailer City. read more

This was the most frustrating attempt to purchase something I've ever had. I literally could not get them to take my money. I tried to order an enclosed trailer about three weeks ago. Larry (sales rep.) and I had plans drawn up and I gave them a credit card for the deposit. I expected, at this point, I would get a call of when I could expect to pick up my new $7000 trailer. The deposit never got taken out of my account so I called to see if I had mixed up some digits on the card. Nope the card was fine but Larry was busy with another customer so the guy would have him call me back. Apparently I HAD to speak with Larry. I'm guessing it has to do with commissions. A week goes by and no call. I call back to see what's going on and another rep says Larry is busy again but he will leave another message. Another week goes by and no return call from Larry. I finally called them one last time to clear my credit card info. and see what exactly happened. I never did get an explanation. I really liked the trailer and the customizations Larry and I had worked out so I found another company that sells the Continental Cargo brand in Chehalis, WA. This is not convenient for me as I live near Portland. The best part was that I just faxed the paperwork from Trailer City up to Bulldog Trailers and the exact same trailer was $400 cheaper lol. It only took two days for them to figure out exactly what I wanted, take my deposit and give me a delivery date. Amazing! The worst part of this ordeal was that I was a returning customer. This whole thing was to upgrade a trailer I purchased from Trailer City in 2007. I still have no idea what happened. If you've had a bad experience please post it. I rarely post reviews but I felt I owed it consumers to write this one. I really wanted the trailer for the Memorial Day weekend but I wasted WAY too much time waiting for return calls. I needed to find a cargo trailer. The first time there, I was told where the trailers were; sent out to look; and told that someone would be out shortly to assist. No one came. After standing around for a long time I left. Later I went back. The same thing happened again. When I was tired of waiting and was leaving, a woman who works in the office happened to some out and asked if she could give any assistance. I told her I was interested in a trailer, but no one was there to talk to and I could not even tell the price of the trailers. She showed me how to figure out what the price was. I decided on one I wanted to buy. I went back into the office. Stood around for a long time, and finally had a salesman, Jon, ask if he could help. I told him what I wanted to buy, and asked if I could pay a deposit and pay for the trailer when I picked it up as I could not pick it up that day. I was told yes. However, the salesman put me off and said to wait until I came to pick up the trailer. I told him I was concerned about the price going up. His response was that the price had already gone up and I did not need to worry about it. They get trailers like I want all the time. I did have a question, and Jon took down my number and said he would get the information and call me the next morning. He never called. I waited and then went back to buy the trailer. Had to do the stand around and wait thing again, just like the two previous times. Waited a long time before I got any help. The trailers like I wanted were all gone. Finally was able to talk to Jon. He said they had trailers coming in all the time and said they had 10 the size I wanted coming him. I asked him what the price would be. He said he did not know. He was going to call the manufacturer and find out when the trailers would be delivered. He took my number again and said he would call me the next morning. He never called. For some reason, Jon apparently did not want to sell a trailer. I am not going back there again. It is a waste of time. read more
