For 2 people, we were estimated to have an 1 1/2 hour wait to be seated on a Friday night, which almost turned us away but we only had to wait a little over an hour and it was well worth it. Our server was friendly and the food came quickly and was SO GOOD. I preferred the friend things but the poor man's lobster was still good! Amazing tartar sauce and cocktail (shrimp) sauce. We were told dogs are welcome on the patio on sundays. Will be going back!

    The outside.

One of the best fish fries I've had. The potato salad was outstanding. Staff was friendly. And I loved the fireplace in the dining area. I would rate it very good.

Best fish in town, especially their baked Finnish, sauced deliciously, or their poor man's. Sit outside along the river in nice weather.

This is hands down the best fish fry in Wausau. Expect a wait but the service is always efficient and very friendly.

Service was also friendly and super efficient, with food made quickly. We were also happy to see there was a steady crowd coming in on a Tuesday night and the staff had no problems making sure everyone was taken care of. We started with the Taste of Manila Egg Rolls because we were so excited to see that something lived on from that restaurant which we miss. The egg rolls were quite tasty and the slaw and sauce just pulled everything together. For our main meals we had the M&O Melt with onion rings and the Red Hot Spicy Clucker with fries. I was happy the the spicy chicken sandwich actually had some heat to it and was full of flavor. The fries were also nicely fried. The M&O Melt was also tasty, and the onion rings were a favorite. Fried nicely so that they had a crunchy bite. It's always a plus when the onion doesn't come out all at once or separate from the breading. These were quite tasty and we definitely recommend the curry ketchup. It added a whole new flavor dimension to the onion rings and fries. Overall, can't wait to try some more menu items next time we're in the area. Definitely recommend.

It is a charming and well stocked wine-focused store, with a restaurant to boot. I have come for both lunch and also the much sought-after wine tastings, which are very fun and delicious. The knowledge that the staff exude is exemplary, especially for the Wausau area. From unique varieties, preparations, vineyards, and grapes to many more criterion way over my head, they have you covered. Our most recent experience was a wine pairing event. In this format, there was a charcuterie board with different ingredients intended to be paired with different types of wines. There were also plates served as well - soups, salads, and sandwiches - that were all delicious (most are available on their main lunch menu as well). It was very interesting and classy. Their sommelier explained the differences between the numerous wine samples, how to serve them, how to pair them with food, and we enjoyed the entire event. Their wine selection is incredible, with options for every taste and budget. I will definitely be back to find a bottle for a special occasion. I encourage you to check this gem out - cheers!
