The menu was promising and the food was tasty but not extraordinary. I was happy until one of my dinner mates received a nearly red burger when asking for 'no pink'. Server asked if she wanted a new burger. She accepted. The server came back with the same burger, now overdone. When she questioned it and asked about the new burger she was told 'the kitchen said no.' The server offered to remove it from her bill and she agreed. When the bill came They charged her for the onion rings that came with the burger because 'she ate them'. Came back for a second visit because we liked Trail's End so much. Ended up trying the Sweet Memphis BBQ pizza with Trail Pie crust. It was delicious and makes us want to come back to try some of the other pizzas. read more

Quick update: I had another visit to the Trails End Restaurant, and it went really well. I got the steak wrap, and the fries that came with it were good too. The best part of the meal was the campfire dessert pizza. That thing was top notch! I would come back and just order that. So good! read more

The waitress was great, friendly, helpful and always refilling our drinks. The pizzas were very tasty, I didn't really like mine cause I didn't like the bleu cheese used, but the rest was delicious. We started with the Best of Mohican Sampler. The cheese sticks were average and the only thing that paired well with the red sauce. The onion rings and the jalapeño poppers were outstanding and the fried pickles were okay, but a bigger side of ranch for them would be nice. Might be a little pricy at $11 but a good way to start if you have a family. The first time I ate here I bought a plain pizza, pepperoni, mushroom and onion. It wasn't great and I surmised that the specialty pizzas was where it's at. So the second time I came I ordered a large specialty which runs $17 for 14". I had them make it half and half between the Trails End and the Adventure. The first was trail bologna and Swiss cheese with honey mustard and the second half was pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, onion, banana peppers, green peppers, jalapeño peppers, black and green olives, and bacon. The Adventurer was nothing outstanding, pretty much your run of the mill supreme. I would eat the Trails End again, it was unique and good. 6" specialty runs $7 and the 12" $15 as of this writing. They have a number of toppings and you can make your own pizzas for $5, $10, and $11 plus .25, .50, .75 per topping respectively for the 6", 12", & 14" pizza. Soft drinks are $2 and reasonably priced at $1.50 for kids. Service was okay but not outstanding. Our drinks sat empty for awhile on a night that wasn't busy and they forgot our kids cheese pizza until after they brought ours out, meaning they had to bake it and make the kids wait. The micro brew bottle list is pretty epic for the area. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!! The service was so slow (we understand staffing issues so we were very patient). The food was TERRIBLE!! They use those small, dry bacon bits (the cheap kind from the dollar store) on the chicken bacon sandwich. The chicken was so dry it was almost inedible and the pulled pork burger tasted like saw dust. Our waitress completely ignore us so we couldn't send it back. Have eaten here several times and almost alway enjoyed our food. The food we didn't enjoy had nothing to do with how it was prepared, it just wasn't prepared the way we thought it would come out. No points off for that. During camping season you almost have to go at an off time. It is busy busy busy. Our server a few times had been Emmy. Keep her forever if you could. She is a gem. The older no smile bartender can go anytime. Unless she is bringing in her friends as customers I don't know what the draw to the bar is. She hardly ever smiles! Good pizza great chicken Alfredo. Trails End benefits from being in an area with little competition. Everything we tried there was decent to good, but nothing that made you really want to come rushing back. The kids both liked it, as the menu kind of skews towards their tastes. Prices are a bit higher, being in a tourist-y area, but not too bad. read more

The adventurer pizza was delicious. Sauce was very good pizza crust was very tasty and crunchy as I ask for it well done. My wife got the Alfredo she liked it a lot but didn't eat it as it was not exactly hot when it hit the table but she is taking it home to reheat it she didn't want to send it back or take it off bill she said it was good just not hot enough. She does not like to send anything back to kitchen after it hits the table. We were served by a very pleasant young lady who we think did a great job even though she left 3 items off ahold pizza when it should have been only off half of pizza, not a big deal pizza was great! The place was very well kept up some nice memorabilia on the walls that looked good in a pizza place. Over all a great place to eat and worth the 20 minute drive from our home. I had just bought a bunch of shoes, which is like rafting the Colorado...I was tired and hangry. This place was recommended. I once whitewater rafted down the Colorado in Utah. It was a 7 hour trip with strong headwinds. Brutal. When we were done all we wanted to do was eat. We had huge burgers, fries and shakes and then 20 Advil. So, I'm giving this place 3 stars based on that. It's next to a river where people tube and canoe. They're not gonna want fine dinning when they are done. My burger (which was a frozen bubba burger, I'm almost positive) was cooked well, was on a nice bun, came with pickles, tomato, an onion ring and barbecue sauce. Bam! Meat , on a big fat bun. A side of fries rounded it out. The food was diner/pub fare and not bad. The staff? Not so great. It was hard to get any reaction out of them. No smile, no friendliness. I had to work really hard to even get any conversation out of them. They acted as though they were already tired and it was only 1:30 in the afternoon and the place was not busy. Plus a lot of the people were having the lunch buffet which was pizza and a salad bar in a silver canoe (see picture). Yup. Silver canoe. I've been here a handful of times now and have never been disappointed. I always order pizza. The Adventurer is by far my favorite specialty pizza on their menu. The crust is baked to a perfect crispiness and the toppings taste like top notch fresh ingredients. This restaurant is such a wonderful idea! It fits in the absolute perfect place for grabbing a bite to eat at the end of a long trip canoeing, rafting, or hiking! We have been there three times and had a similar experience all three times. The pizza quality is tasty and the ingredients are good. Better than average. The wait staff is a different story. All three times we have felt like an inconvenience or that they would rather be doing something else with their time. I get it, I was a young server as well and understand. However, that is no reason for bad/poor service. Also, the advertised "pizza buffet" pictures about two or three pizzas at most and ended up being A bit crazy when there are 10 or 12 other guests all trying to eat from the same buffet. read more

Although this isn't the best pizza I've ever had, it's still pretty good, especially after a long kayaking trip. You can't beat the location either, right across from Mohican Adventures. We got the "Yellow Canoe" drink, which is basically a martini. It was really good and gave me the liquid courage I needed to face the aerial course at Mohican Adventures. Bonus: it's only 3.99!! They have some buffet style pizza, kind of like CiCi's, but you can order whatever you want as well. Great value, great location. read more
