OK, I normally don't give four stars to small markets in small towns; however, Village Point truly deserves it! They have an eclectic collection of goods ranging from very high-end wine to wonderful craft cheeses. My wife and I stopped for a sandwich for the day after we went shopping there. Must say the sandwiches were absolutely delicious as well. The girls working behind the counter did an excellent job making our sandwiches to order! If you're in the area stop by!

Great gluten free subs that are made to order. Cheerful service. Great selection of wines and foods, craft sodas, and locally sourced items.

I love the corn crib!…read more I carpool to work and we frequently stop at the corn crib! My carpool buddy gets a lot of meat and cheese, which he says is awesome, and cheap. They also have milkshakes and ice cream in the summer. However, being vegan, I don't consume much (...or any) meat, cheese, or ice cream, so I go directly for the spices, raw sugar, whole wheat flour, extracts, oils, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. They don't have TVP or Nutritional Yeast, but I'm working on it. :-) ...they also have Cream soda! It's the cutest little store you'll ever go to. Stop, even if it's just for the rootsy feeling.

There's an ice cream counter as well. Sandwiches were $3.75 with choice of fresh sliced 1/4 lb. of deli meat with cheese, veggies & condiments on either a sub bun or wheat bread. I had an absolutely delicious roast beef & smoked cheddar with smoky horseradish sauce on a sub bun. I resisted buying a fry pie, though now I wish I had. For those who don't know, a fry pie is a kind of like the old Hostess Pies, filling enveloped with pie crust, fried, and then glazed, made locally, and twice as good. I was pleased to find Dare Maple Cream cookies (a personal fave), so bought those for dessert instead. And get this - the Hayesville Corn Crib is conveniently located right across the street from the Hayesville Opera House. Yes, I said opera house. I really did. I love traveling a little off the beaten path. You never know what you'll find!

The…read moresetup is basic; just regular coffee with your choice of a few creams and regular sugar to $1.99 for a small cup. No frills, just straight up coffee. But next to the coffee was the donut case, and I did not expect to get seduced so easily, but alas I fell hard. For a mere $2.49 had an amazing maple cream stick. Not too sugary sweet. The inside was filled with almost like a rich whipped cream versus a buttercream. The shell was lightly fried, not greasy. And the maple topping was smooth, not gritty, and evenly applied across the donut so I got some with every bite. I'm going to think about this donut for a long time. I also snagged a box of fritters for the rest of the crew, but I sat silently on their porch swing and ate that donut and drank my basic coffee in blissful silence. It was the perfect way to start my day. They also offer an abundance of groceries and supplies for campers since the campground is nearby. It appears there is a little restaurant that's adjacent and a walk-up window for morning donut and coffee runs that closes at 10:30am. A very nice surprise to stumble upon this place during our camping trip. Definitely worth stopping in!
